Download for ALL 4 Data Packs: modrinth.com/datapack/flattened-dimensions I only show 2 in this video: Superflat Dimensions Data Pack and Superflat Dimensions II Data Pack (this one has trees). That's because this is an Update video for them. The other two Data Packs are Flat Dimensions and Flat Dimensions with Caves (also on that link). Instead of being 4 blocks deep, they are a regular overworld flattened to y=64, so it has stone all the way to the bedrock at y=-64. Like mentioned above, they are also on the download page! If you're concerned about the Bedrock, the two "Flat Dimensions" Data Packs above cover that issue. Otherwise structures like Ruined Portals, Trail Ruins, and Temples cut through the bedrock.
@@Klinbee Yeah i looked at some files and changed some values to try and find it. But didn’t get it to work. Maybe hint me the value and I can just search it up in the files and change it? All did in a test world of course. Love your content!
this is lowkey one of the coolest datapacks ive seen! i love the juxtaposition of the superflat simplicity with the full game still being there :D great stuff as always quidvio
Tnx so much for this Quidvio! i have been looking for this for a long time! The flattened dimensions work nicely with the terralith datapack , let,s do mods and the farmer's delight mods. All the structures and decorations are spawning. Excellent work!!
This is SO COOL! But. Debating with myself what kind of super flat type I want to play. On one hand I like the challenge the true superflat type. But having different biomes is also very cool. I just don’t know if I like the structures down under. Will try this tomorrow and update yall
Hi Quid, Would you ever consider creating a datapack for an ocean/flooded world that still retains biome rules? (I'm thinking just so when people create land they actually still get biome related spawns like how the flower forest spawns rabbits etc). Also other mods and packs would then still work with the biomes such as specific modded animal spawns and even packs like Mine Treasure. Would love to know your thoughts on it. Everything atm is not quite right but i think it may be due to the limitations of terrain generation and the way it all works now. Lol. Any musing on the subject would be greatly appreciated! I'm not able to create packs myself but i'll understand when you talk about it :) Kindest regards, Mandie.
There already is a version of this on Modrinth. It’s specifically the “Flat Dimensions” version. The one in this video is the “Superflat Dimensions”, emphasis on the Superflat vs Flat.
I've always wanted to see a super flat nether My only question is, how do you access the underground in the overworld? It looks like a layer of bedrock is covering it
I’ve answered this question in a few other places or on the modrinth page, but basically a lot of structures break through the bedrock, like ruined portals or temples.
Hey, this is really cool stuff! Would there be any chance you could upload a datapack that only flattens the nether/end, or give an instruction on how to remove just the overworld parts? My reason is essentially that I'm trying to generate a particular superflat world with customized block layers, but I want the other dimensions to still be flat. I actually think I can get it working as I want it to as-is, but then I realized it might be cool to have a normal overworld (or use a different world generator) while still having the other dimensions be flat. Also big shoutouts to Snowcapped as well because that is such a powerful tool for custom worldgen creation.
I my gosh, I've been wanting something like this for years! I've wanted full world gen just super flat. It would be cool if you could add proper caves and ocean depth. Super flat nether is so cool. Only issue is netherite
Yeah, I've currently got it where no ancient debris spawns in the nether. However! What you are describing is the other version I made! It's on that download page as well. It pretty much is a regular world with the terrain capped at y=64. So caves, proper stone, full depth oceans, etc. I have had some people ask about nether ores in the superflat, so I may make that the main version even though it doesn't fit in with the theme in my opinion (because you don't mine for ores in superflat).
Some structures like ruined portals, trail ruins, and temples break through the bedrock. Otherwise, there are bedrock breaking techniques as well. It's meant to be a challenge! Most people who play superflat survival worlds use downgraded versions to get more structures, which means that the world is at y=0 instead of -64. They break the bedrock to get down there as well.
I've always wanted biomes and structures to be able to generate normally on a flat world. That is, something like the default generation but without changes in terrain height. Is this what you're doing?
You can't really make something that dynamic with a data pack. If you're talking about making a general format for those who do want to use custom biomes, then that can kind of be done.
So how does the underground work? Is it just void other than the things that spawn or is that just so we can see them in this demo and it's filled with dirt and stone?
It's the void with the underground structures yes. Note that the ones in this video I show are my main versions, which are based off of superflat (so 4 block tall world). The other two are in my original showcase of this data pack and they actually have stone until -64 with those structures.
Okay amazing im going to play this one. But is there a natural way of getting down under the bedrock or will i have to break bedrock with redstone? It's easy i know but. Just curious if there was a structure that generated inside the bedrock. Like ruined portals maybe
Yeah I am! I’m working on making a completely new version. It’s mainly complete, but I’m needing to venture into modding to make some other changes. The islands are actually shaped like islands in it, and there are mountains!
I kinda feel like you have figured this out by now, but yeah you should do that and then just create new world. Don’t try making a superflat world, I have that mentioned on the modrinth page too. Also, make sure you’re actually downloading the data pack if you are using the data pack version. There’s a mod version too, and it has the .jar, file extension. That doesn’t work in the data pack folder.
Ye I’ve answered this question in a few other places or on the modrinth page, but basically a lot of structures break through the bedrock, like ruined portals or temples.

If it is possible what file would I have to search in to find and somehow adjust the world height? If possible. Love the work you do!!!
@@trollchristianjb1233 There is an easy way and a hard way, but they both involve changing values in several files.
@@trollchristianjb1233 Yep, ores do generate of course.

Hey Mandie! Yeah I’ve made packs like that before but never published them anywhere. I think I’ll consider doing that sometime soon :)
Is it possible to make this but with a “tunnellers dream version” so that you have a lot of stone layers and ores also generate?
There already is a version of this on Modrinth. It’s specifically the “Flat Dimensions” version.

Oh yeah sure! You just need to remove the overworld.json file in noise_settings as that is what affects the terrain.
I my gosh, I've been wanting something like this for years! I've wanted full world gen just super flat.

That makes sense! I'll probably give this a try, it seems like a fun challenge!
I've always wanted biomes and structures to be able to generate normally on a flat world. That is, something like the default generation but without changes in terrain height. Is this what you're doing?
Yeah that’s basically it, there are surprisingly technical challenges though due to how some vanilla legacy structures are coded though!
you should make an empty biome format for the datapack so people can edit the code to add custom biomes or biomes from other datapacks and or mods.
You can't really make something that dynamic with a data pack. If you're talking about making a general format for those who do want to use custom biomes, then that can kind of be done.
yeah that@@Klinbee
Você é incrível, vi alguns vídeos seus e me deu vontade de chorar. Eu sempre sonhei com as coisas que você fez
looks really cool
as above, so below
mogswamp should make a video with this data pack, its honestly super sick
baller!!!! 🌪️🔥
Does the data pack work in any type of superflat presets?
I mean, it wouldn’t make sense to, since those are based on single biome.
But no, mainly because it replaces the default worldgen with it.
this is so incredibly cool!!
i think this would be really cool in cooperation with a modpack of some sort, ignoring how interesting it is regardless
What type of mod-pack? 👀
So how does the underground work? Is it just void other than the things that spawn or is that just so we can see them in this demo and it's filled with dirt and stone?

Okay just checked one and you can get down under with the ruined portals.
Yeah there are other structures that let you through as well
@@KlinbeeYeah just found a jungle temple. It's nice. Love the datapack!!!
i need a mcpe download i cant get jar or zip to work with minecraft and im on pc
Not for mcpe
is there a way to add ores. I just want a flat world with biomes and ores
Check the other versions on the modrinth page, there are different versions with different features. One has the stone and ores underground.
Are you still working on the floating islands project? I remember you talking about that in your skylands videos, the idea looks very nice!
Yeah I am! I’m working on making a completely new version. It’s mainly complete, but I’m needing to venture into modding to make some other changes. The islands are actually shaped like islands in it, and there are mountains!
cant wait to see it, looks very promising!@@Klinbee
are you gonna update this for 1.20.5? with all the datapack changes some stuff might be broken
I updated it to 1.20.5 a few days ago 🤣
i will probably pick up minecraft again just so i can beat the game with this datapack
Too bad its not for bedrock version, looks awesome.
letsgoooo!!
How do you use this datapack? I put it in the data pack folder and enable it, but nothing happens
How do i do so i get the normal nether that is not flat with this datapack
You can delete nether related files in the pack.
@@Klinbee Thanks 😊
This is really cool!
how do I play this! I have modrinth and the modpack what do I click to make it the datapack
Glad we were able to figure it out on my discord.
So is everything obtainable in this world type?
Nearly everything is yeah. The main exception are the ores (but you can get some of them like ancient debris in bations for example).
Does it work on minecraft 1.16.5?
Unfortunately that version doesn’t support data packs yet.. I plan on making a mod for it in the future which would allow me to though.
how do you go below bedrock? just curious
Ye I’ve answered this question in a few other places or on the modrinth page, but basically a lot of structures break through the bedrock, like ruined portals or temples.
oh ok makes sense
@@Klinbee
twilight forest ahh world generation
brooooooooo you are a savyour

There are various versions of the data pack. Two of them have ores.
