She's beautiful, genuine, humble, kind, so very intelligent... and she has such dedication & love for work... she gets tickled like a child on Christmas Morning talking about the stuff they used to mix to create paint lol She's just so endearing.... and she tells the tales with such wonder and respect. If you haven't seen the ones she does where they try to identify what killed the mummies, you should check them out.. or anything She's in lol !! It's all awesome!

This is one that I can watch over and over, one I will even put in my "to go to sleep by" playlist. It's brilliantly done, and this woman shows how deeply she cares for history with every scene. Some could even bring a tear to the eye, as strongly as she shows her feelings for this place.
Let me put it this way:
If it isn't real passion for history that I'm seeing, she's the best actor I've seen in a very long time.

You see it when she talks too, when she’s in the tombs so full of awe and joy. You can tell she truly loves what she’s doing and it’s honestly really cool to watch. If I could go back in time and just watch without being seen by the locals then I would have gone back to the time of the Egyptians and pharaohs. I’m sure that I would not have been alone as a lot more people would go back to watch the splender of the Egyptian people. Thanks to Joann Fletcher for the brilliant documentary about the history of the people. Thank you….Phil

Her reaction when she saw the head of amenahotp(spelling?) under the cloth was fantastic. Reminded me of someone’s reaction to being asked to marry their lover. Though I think she’s more excited than any lover could ever be lol. Just sitting there alone afterwards staring in awe.
I generally have less than zero interest in ancient Egyptian relics but her passion for the subject and the way she tells the stories of their culture and beliefs is so engaging.

I am not even 2 min into this "documentary" by a so called "PhD of archeology" and everything she opens with is a lie, because I assume that she is educated well enough to know that everything she just said has been discredited for over a decade already.

I'm only 30 minutes into this story of Egypt and I just HAVE to say, that I was lucky enough to go to the great exhibition of Egyptian artifacts in San Francisco. This was when exhibitions went all over the world so we, who couldn't get to Egypt, could gaze in wonder at that which is Egypt. I stood in front of the iconic golden mask of King Tutankhamun, no further away than one foot! I witnessed mummies. I was close enough to see their eyelashes and fingernails. I saw their jewelry, pottery, statues that were so highly polished that you could see your reflection as clearly as if it were glass. One of the most breathtaking things I saw were the hieroglyphics beautifully displayed for viewing. I could go on and on, but I want to get back to this video.

ITS NOT A GAME PEOPLE, YOU COULD DIE TOMORROW, QUIT PLAYING AROUND, THESE ARE END TIMES!!!
TURN TO JESUS NOW! ASK HIM TO FORGIVE YOUR SINS
STOP PUTTING YOUR HOPE IN THE GOVERNMENT, IN RELIGION, IN SCIENCE, IN WEALTH, IN CELEBRITIES, IN SPORTS, IN THE WORLD (IT WILL PERISH!)
Turn back to Jesus our Creator, not religion. Religion creates bondage, in Christ there is freedom. Im not talking church, im not talking religion, im talking relationship with your Creator. Call upon Jesus now and ask Him into your life and to forgive your sins.
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." -John 14:6
“For the wages of sin is death (hell), but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” -Romans 6:23
"But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven." -Matthew
      10:33
YOU CAN STAND ON YOUR OWN AGAINST GOD AND TRY TO JUSTIFY YOUR SIN WHEN YOU WONT EVEN BE ABLE TO LOOK UP. YOU WILL BE WEEPING IN TERROR REALIZING YOU MADE A BIG MISTAKE. YOU WONT WIN AN ARGUMENT WITH GOD, HE CREATED EVERYTHING!!!
GOD SEES EVERYTHING YOUVE EVER DONE; YOU WONT FOOL HIM!!!
      OR
PUT YOUR TRUST IN JESUS WHO DIED ON THE CROSS AND TOOK THE WRATH OF GOD IN OUR PLACE FOR OUR SINS. IT'S A FREE GIFT BUT HE CANT FORCE YOU TO TAKE IT. WILL YOU CALL UPON HIM NOW AND SURRENDER TO HIM. TALK TO HIM LIKE A BEST FRIEND, HE'S WAITING AND HE LOVES YOU.

Why does she ignore the obvious megalithic sized blocks fitted without any mortar or cement and perfectly cut Granite? It wasn't stone age chisels of copper or bronze but #AncientLostTechnology that enabled such power & stunning archeology addressed by our wonderful #BrienFoerester. Perhaps professor will return to address these anomalies but seemingly, we get honest research without the conservative Archeologists blinded perceptions & refusal to examine these ancient ancient finds Brien exposes us too.

Joann and the producers did such a good job describing the characteristics of each era of ancient Egyptian politics and faith, and then just left it at "well, here come the Romans, so let's just skip to how the British Empire rediscovered ancient Egypt and did a service to everyone." When were the last hieroglyphs carved? Did the Romans not assimilate into Egyptian culture? How similar is the ancient Egyptian spoken language to Egyptian Arabic?

I am absolutely in LOVE with this series! In college, I did my art appreciation thesis on, "The Art of Mummification," and painted literal giant scrolls I unwound, pinned to the wall, explained how it was an Artform unto itself! Us students were grading each other, so you know that they all gave me Fs. She marked them all out, gave me an A+ And what do I paint with today?
Yes - what they Egyptians used! NOTHING beats Lapis Lazuli, as it twinkles, I add on the earth pigments from there. I've been enjoying buying or hand grinding my own pigments, from watercolours to oils! Yes, cautious about what works, doesn't work together, but I must always go back to my love of ancient egypt. Helped me to spot a forgery in the Louvre, that all the experts insisted was real. Anatomical goof is blatant, if you take off your rose colored glasses. When people make up excuses, they are wrong.

I really don't think the descendants of ancient egyptians What do such a thing. It's not their culture.
This proves they have no Connections to the ancient egyptians who built the first black civilization.
They are the descendants of the arabs invaders

This documentary is absolutely superb. Dr Fletcher guides you through an amazing journey deep into the past. The language she uses to explain history facts, with such passion and enthusiasm is simply mesmerizing. My sincere congratulations to her and Odyssey for this outstanding piece of living history.

Miss Flecher definitely picked the wrong career. . Her lack of melonin is burning her to a crisp. That umbrella is like putting a band aide on a bullet wound. She should of chose something like the studies of polar bears or penguins by the poles. That would of been more skin friendly for her.
An umbrella vs lack of melanin. Lack of melanin is gonna win everytime. Shes practically an albino egyptologist. Talk about taking one for the team.

@@00tonytone yet she is easily the best modern egyptologist. She didnt let her 'lack of melanin' distract her from her passion, and I for one, am happy to be able to watch her whether she is white, black, asian, native american, or arab does not make a single difference.

No civilization is as EPIC as ancient Egypt! Spanning 9,000 yrs. The magnanimous megalithic architecture isn't found anywhere else during the same period. The more you study ancient Egypt, the more numinous you feel, and more enthralled you become. It's a never-ending treasure trove of discoveries that are literally found daily 🤯🧐😍
