This rings so true for me! I went into surgical menopause at age 55 and two years on, my low back is killing me! I can't do HRT, so exercise and stretches help. I have also started on organic tofu, flax seeds and will start collagen today. Managing severe pain moments with Ibuprofen.
I am going through the same problem with walking. My left knees suddenly started to pain and sudden stiffness. It does not ease throughout the day. I am in so much pain. Have you found anything to releave you ?
Hello ms Elillen, thank you 😊 for teaching us women,, menopause is not easy to go through, so many different changes comes to the body, God bless you 🙏🙏 Thank you 🙏🙏🙏
Hello Eileen I do get anxious and my doctor thinks my stiffness and pain I get in my body is fibromyalgia. She said my magnesium is on the low side when though I take it. Is there one type of magnesium that is more absorbable than others? I do drink around 3 litres of water every day as well. Thank you 😊
Hi Lindsay Good to hear that you're drinking plenty of water, just don't drink too much as this can wash minerals such as magnesium away! Either a magnesium citrate or magnesium glycinate seem to be absorbed well. Best Wishes Eileen
Took 150 mg of magnesium after waking today. I feel it eases me and interestingly enough It was required on this Monday a.m. Hello from Nancy in Michigan(U.S.)✨
Good video, as usual. I am in the menopause, and I have horrific joint pain. I am on a low dose HRT, which has eased a multitude of symptoms, but not the joint pain. The joint pain is horrific, especially after a period of rest (sleeping, sitting at my desk, etc.). I drink LOTS of water, I have taken magnesium supplements for years, I work out nearly every day, do yoga 4-5 times a week, and eat well. In talking with my GP, she sent me for x-ray, as well as bloodwork to rule out rheumatoid arthritis or something else. There are no signs of arthritis. I wonder if a higher dose of estrogen will help?
Hi Kathleen You would need to discuss this with your doctor as they may need to take your age and any other health issues you have, into account as to whether a higher dose would be appropriate and safe for you. In the meantime you may find a combination of a fish oil supplement (or flaxseed oil, if you are vegetarian or vegan) and the herb Devils Claw may be helpful for relieving the pain. Best Wishes Eileen
Another informatve vlog.....am blown away every week with the many dreadful symptoms of the menopause ...i have experience all of them..but my question is can you experience these symptoms in the post menopause as well? ..Thank you as always for your advice and tips..
@@clearahenderson9339 Post menopause is when you've not had any periods for 2 years and you are considered post menopause for the rest of your life. Most women find, in this phase, that symptoms ease off or stop over time.
Hi i'm from guyana i do have that in the morning stiffness thank you so much .question for you i'm useing the menopace tablets can i use the magnesium as well too
Yes!!! I began to feel stiffness in my muscles few months ago until now! The stiffness is on my neck, upper left back, left arm, left hand/fingers etc. Seems like it’s localised area. I suspect I am having perimenopause now 😢
Acupuncture, or body work like osteopathy or amatsu, can be helpful for this localised pain. You can also try our Atrosan tablets - www.avogel.co.uk/herbal-remedies/devils-claw-atrosan/index.php and Arnica Atrogel - www.avogel.co.uk/herbal-remedies/arnica-gel-atrogel/

I have all of this and when I go to stand up my feet make the cracking noise like when someone is cracking their knuckles. I am going to do light stretches well I'm going you start off like I'm a 90 year old lady.
Hi Amanda Yes, regular exercise (but make sure it's varied not just the same ones day after day) can be helpful but also make sure that your getting enough protein in your diet as this is important too. If you are not keen on meat or are vegetarian or vegan you could add in a plant based protein powder drink every day. Best Wishes Eileen
