Wow this is so true! I have been having awful aches and pains in my shoulder & arm area. I can even feel it inflamed. It hurts to twist and turn my arm and doing any arm weights is excruciating….. I see my muscle looking more lax & flabby 😩 I turn 48 in 2 weeks and I am in really good shape and exercise 3-4 times a week but lately the upper body is just so painful. Lord help me with this peri/menopause thing 😩 I just adore your videos!! Thank you for all that you do 🤍🙏🌟

Thank you. So very helpful. You are such a great source of information. Some nights I experience aching in my legs...to the point where I cannot fall asleep. I am sure it is lack of magnesium and have started taking supplements. I am always amazed how little doctors and gynecologists know about these issues. When I asked, they told me that it had nothing to do with being perimenopausal....nothing to do with hormones. Apparently, low levels of estrogen affects the absorption of magnesium. In gratitude, Birgitte

    • @AvogelCoUk

      Hi
It may be a good idea to get the needle pains checked out by you doctor for a proper diagnosis. Other health issues such as low vitamin D, low B12, low iron, diabetes could all cause similar symptoms and your doctor can test for these just to rule them out.

Thanks Eileen, I’m 53, just started my menopause (no period for 18 months). I have uterine fibroid in my right ovary. But my doc said it started to shrink a little during my last PAP test 4 months back.

      Hi Arifa
You may have strained a muscle there or caused a hernia so it is best to get this checked by your doctor if it doesn't start to ease soon.

Hello doctor, very informative. I have a doubt. Not related to this Blog though😊This March my ESR was high, it was 45,, but all other blood reports were norm al. My first day of period was going on when I tested. Has high ESR any thing to do with periods? is ESR alone considerIed for any practical purpose? I am 49 years old. Is it of any concern, with ESR high. Last week when I retested ESR alone it was 10(normal). Please give me some insight into this.

      Hi Kalyani
Twitching like this can be caused by lack of magnesium so you may find a magnesium supplement, approx 200mg twice a day, can help, However, it is a good idea to also get this checked out by your doctor just to rule out other health issues such as low B12.

    • @AvogelCoUk

      Hi Breda
This could be due to low magnesium or protein or dehydration. You may find adding in a magnesium supplement can help. I now use our Balance Mineral Drink when I go to my fitness class (it contains magnesium and potassium which both help with energy/muscle recovery) and I find that I rarely get muscle aches afterwards.
