I purchased a Battle Box from Humphrey's in part due to your video. It helped a lot hearing from you on the subject and being able to see the quality. Thanks much!!
I so appreciate the level of information provided. Very well organized and explained. From how it works to all the features to firing it up... well done, Best 20 minutes spent after searching hours and seeing lots of bad videos! Thank you!
I have the pint version with almost same setup with fireboard and fan. This is my 6th smoker and certainly last. It's built like a tank. Only thing different is I added the SS flip shelf and I added a SS hook to the side that holds a fireplace poker to pull out the charcoal pan. Easy to buy the hook at home depot. I find that's a nice add. Also found adding a full size pizza stone to the bottom on top of the metal heat shield helps hold heat and allows me to do away with the water pan. The water pan acts as a heat sink once it gets to temp. I also came from a weber smokey mountain with a water pan. I found the pizza stone works just the same with less mess from a water pan. Another helpful thing is to use an aluminum full size cheapo pan to catch drippings from your smoke. Good vid......
I'm on the brink of ordering a cabinet myself and am torn between Lone Star and Humphrey's also. Any reason as to why u went with Lone Star and not Humphrey's?
@@fagundes1212 What did you finally get? I have a Humphreys BB and love it. Decided against the LSG because of the water pan. I like to be able to remove mine.
I soak a paper towel with vegetable oil. It lights just as easy and no off flavor or smell. Great video. I love my vertical insulated smoker just because it holds temps so steady.
Nice video. IVS is the way to go! Interesting about the reverse flow - I’ve always considered flow to be more of an offset thing, with IVS focusing more on heat retention and efficiency. But this looks cool and I’m glad it’s working for you. 👍

Love it I looked at that smoker but ended up getting a lone star grillz instead. Keep making videos!

Great video. I didn't know how the reverse flow worked exactly. I have a Humphreys Pint and I'm making some great food. You can't beat Humphreys.
