You and your family should be really proud of what you have done with this channel and connecting to people the way you do. Infinite Applause. Truly. Happy birthday
I am a Greek guy born and raised in Athens, Greece, and it is just awesome how a guy from the other side of the world is my go-to channel for film. Not the same tastes in everything, but your honesty in these reviews is what hits the mark. Wish the best for you and your family Cody!
It s definitely quite something indeed, I was already sold on the kind of MCU Snap removing the colors but the reverse effect on all the pictures at the end sold it even more. Really nice work.
Oh, wow. Didn't expect you to re-record the entire ending. But then again, I should have, given your work ethic. Happy birthday. Looking forward to what you have in store for 2023.
I can't believe I was so engaged for 4 hrs during livestream. Twas a great one, even with the issues. Hope there are many more lives to come. Your work is appreciated
Absolutely! I've yet to see 1 shortcut taken and nothin but great stuff in every single video! Short of a new movie release, I find myself watching his older content! (Only reason finding this channel recently had a benefit)🤘
The fact that you had the issues that you did, still came out with a video like this and then you just added the back half as seamlessly as you did... THAT is why you have 105k subscribers. You give a crap about the content you put out and it shows. Your hard work is appreciated. I do hope that you had a great birthday and did something fun with your family. For me...I had some surprises on my list this year. Smile was a huge surprise. I felt very heavy when that movie ended. It was much more serious than I thought and genuinely creepy. Greatly enjoyed Bullet Train (Just saw that last night). I laughed so much all the way through it. What a fun cast! Barbarian was one that I wrote off based on the trailer. I was just gonna wait to see it at home until the buzz started. I was so happy that I went to the theater. Violent Night was one I didn't expect to enjoy as much as I did. I didn't expect the heart that it had but its 100% going to be on rotation at Christmas time for me. Wrong Turn...I think that was the one I left feeling the most excited about because it was so much better than it had any right to be. Fresh was a fun surprise. I don't normally go for cannibal type movies, but this one was a good one. I wasnt expecting Orphan First Kill to be as fun as it was. They just nailed it. The movies I thought I would enjoy, I did. I enjoyed Halloween Ends, loved Scream. The Lost City. Truly, we just got spoiled this year. So many good movies.
I don't know about the rest of the vid, but this intro is killer!!! I'm new to the channel, but judging on what I've seen so far, I'm excited about what the next 3+ hours hold. (We have very similar taste in films. I had to subscribe when Leach mentioned Deep Blue Sea in a tier ranking for the Jaws franchise.)
Cody I hated the new scream for many reasons. Predictable killer, no use of Sydney, one character in particular got stabbed and came back to life so it felt cheap, terrible new characters, And that’s all at the top of my head it’s my least favorite in franchise with 3 but I respect everyone opinion
Happy B-Day Codes! Absolutely phenomenal video! So glad I was introduced to your channel last year (and got to meet you😁) probably the most genuine and down to earth RUclipsr ever!🙌🏻🤙🏻
Happy birthday Cody! I really admire the fact that i have become a subscriber to your channel, cant wait for more awesome stuff later this year! Another great Brendan fraser movie is gods and monsters, in which he really showed that he was more than just a fun guy, he really showed his dramatic skills, i would definitely recommend it if you haven't seen it! And also pretty funny that when you mentioned Robert de niro in Cape Fear i decided to open my tv and guess what movie was about to start!
Love that we got these long streams from Sean, CP and now you, these are a blast and great to rewatch. Thanks for the great year of content, and hopefully you have a great 2023!
Happy birthday, Cody. I hope you have a wonderful birthday ❤️ Really Love your channel, and I love it when you talk about movies. It just gets me in a great mood 😄.
As a fellow movie theater employee when he started talking about the movies the employees could see I was like “STOP TELLING OUR SECRETS” 😂 but honestly it was an amazing job being able to watch those movies before everyone and having to go to Cody or another person and hear their thoughts was even more amazing! I don’t work there now but I do still love watching movies and watching Cody
You did a really great job on this! Love your videos! Your ability to recall, and so fluidly talk about all of these movies and their major plot points without missing a beat is really impressive. Your mini-rants while discussing “lightyear” and “on the line” had me legitimately laughing, and I couldn’t agree more (especially with the online discussion of lightyear). I had to look up the plot/plot twists of “on the line,” and, my god, you were not lying. Holy shit. I respect your opinion, but the ending of Pinocchio made me more emotional than any movie this year, but I am not mad at you for you rplacement. Pinocchio, Pearl, Prey (triple “P” baby) the Batman, and violent night are probably my top 5. Great job!
Happy Birthday Cody! Love your content. Been watching for about 5 years now, it's been awesome and inspiring to see your content and channel grow! P.S. Hope I didn't stir the pot too much last night with the remakes lmao. Much love Cody!
This video has renewed my interest in new release movies. I'm up to number 53, really would love to get your take on Tar. To me, it's the best of the year so far and I didn't expect to like it as much as I did. Followed closely by Terrifier 2.
Just wanna thank you for this best movie ranking I ever seen love the way you explain each movie In detail and your funny af just stumbled upon your channel and have to say best I’ve seen keep doing what you’re doing 🎉❤
Hbd cody !! Ive been enjoying your content since i stumbled upon a livestream q/a 2000 subs like 5 years ago. I just wanna say i appreciate all the content and hard work you put in. 🔥🔥
I know this comment is a year old, but I was just binge watching some Cody, and wanted to say, the part of this video where u talk about Elvis and sing...u actually sing really well lol
Your the best Cody, making this video seemed fun, but unless your Blue and in 3d I can't watch all 3 hrs. But your intro was amazing, sorry you had issues.
As a massive Scream fan I wanted to provide why Scream 5 gutted me and imo is the worst in the franchise. Despite how much trust I had in the Radio Silence team, I couldn’t have been more disappointed. First off I respect your opinion and everyone else who loved it, I just wish I was one of them. For me it was incredibly bland and felt like it thought it was cooler than it actually was. I just can’t get behind this cast that feels something more in line with the MTV series and a tone that’s akin to the Stab films. We’ve reached the point of eye rolling meta force feeding and a storyline that completely jumps the shark by steering the franchise into a direction that was never intended or necessary (in terms of the supernatural soap opera element). Stop focusing so much on the meta aspect and Easter eggs and give me a mean, cerebral and memorable Scream movie. I have major issues with Scream 4 for similar reasons, but the ending (as over the top as it is) is enjoyable. Both Scream 4 and 5 feel inferior and adolescent to the previous 3, and I guess I just thought Radio Silence were bringing something heavier and less trite than what Scream 5 turned out to be.
Jesus Christ Cody you really went above and beyond for this one. Two failed attempts for this long of a video, you’re the man Cody💪 happy birthday man🎈🎈🎂🎂
I know this video is cursed but I am so happy you were able to put it up. I missed most of the live stream and was hoping to watch what I missed. Thank you for all your hard work!! You should be super proud and hey, happy birthday!! 🥳
Happy Birthday Cody! That intro was great. I only saw 30 films in 2022 so this list makes my list seem so small lol 😂😂. Anyways here’s my ranking of everything I saw in 2022. 30. The Munsters 29. The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent 28. Moonfall 27. Weird: The Al Yankovic Story 26. Morbius 25. Werewolf By Night 24. Home Team 23. Turning Red 22. Bullet Train 21. Jurassic World: Dominion 20. Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery 3. The Batman 2. Top Gun: Maverick 1. Elvis
Happy Birthday Cody! Great year for the channel! Are you making any Bday vid this year like the vids where rank your favourite *blank* from every year you are alive?
Dude, this was awesome. I’m so used to enjoying your takes on Friday the 13th Part 5, Cobra Kai, and the MCU that I was always curious about your takes on movies like The Whale, EEAAO, Babylon, and The Banshees of Inisherin (award-bait movies). This was an amazing (and honest) breakdown of all these movies. Well-done! And nice Elvis impersonation haha
And I agree completely on EEAAO. I’m glad it got made, I felt it was important, I loved the creativity which is severely lacking these days, and I’m all for the Data/Short Round renaissance. But it was a bit much for me, left me feeling kinda empty (which I think is the opposite of what the writers intended), and the overhype prior to my viewing may have hurt the experience
I agree with everything you say about Rob Zombie’s movies. He has potential to make a great movie, but his writing makes some movies unbearable to watch. But, knowing that his movies will always be the same, I feel like he has the potential to make a really good Texas Chainsaw movie. Maybe not the best, but far better than what, like 80% of that franchise. At least.
You make total sense about texas chainsaw franchise..probably one of the first horror movies I remember experiencing as a kid with my mom telling me that its so scary that they banned it from tv..the new instalment wasn't bad. I thought it was ok an definitely not the worst one.
Completely agree on comedy films, stand-up and your entire rant. Spot on. The last truly great comedy in my opinion was the Nice Guys and that was after years without one. I love Patrice O'Neal's quote: "The idea of comedy, really, is not everybody should be laughing. It should be about 50 people laughing, and 50 people horrified."
Happy 33rd Birthday Cody 🍰🍰 🎂😁, where you put The Whale was a spot that I really respect, Brendan Fraser is the only reason why I have that movie in my favorites of the year in my honorable mentions, the rest of the film was just no where near on Brendans level.

Amazing video as always. Big pat on the back for yourself 👍🤘
Holy shit.
Regarding your list as a whole, I don’t have a lot of extreme disagreement, apart from “Pinocchio,” but you kind of predicted that lol. I respect your opinion, but the ending of Pinocchio made me more emotional than any movie this year, but I am not mad at you for you rplacement. Watching this all the way through cuz you worked so hard lol. Ngl, I’d have quit after the 2nd mishap 😂
ETA: Happy Birthday! 🎉
Bro that intro was 🔥🔥🔥 your content quality has improved so damn much since I started watch you. Keep it up man!!
Well done man! Love watching your reviews!
Aha the long awaited extended version ♥
I really appreciate this ranking
I agree with everything you say about Rob Zombie’s movies. He has potential to make a great movie, but his writing makes some movies unbearable to watch. But, knowing that his movies will always be the same, I feel like he has the potential to make a really good Texas Chainsaw movie. Maybe not the best, but far better than what, like 80% of that franchise. At least.
you put so much work into this 👏 and the whole channel- I love watching your vids and content. Great job
Duuuude that intro is so dope. Also Happy Birthday!
Loved the Grey Man! Thought it was a ton of fun, Chris Evans was so good.
Loved all three hours!
Happy birthday Cody! 🎉 hopefully you got to watch a great film to celebrate!
My favorite Movie in 2022 without a doubt is The Outfit. Started watching it without expecting much and end up absolutely loving it.
Dope upload!
I loved the intro!!
Great list ! Couldn’t agree more about The Batman.
