Reality Bites Trailer - Directed by Ben Stiller and starring Ethan Hawke, Steve Zahn, Ben Stiller, Harry O'Reilly, Joe Don Baker. A small circle of friends suffering from post-collegiate blues must confront the hard truth about life, love, and the pursuit of gainful employment. I was 19 when this movie came out. It's funny to me now because Gen Z has all the same complaints but the difference in how they get talked about is striking.

I saw this movie at the theater and I did not know or didn't remember that Ben Stiller and David Spade were in this movie at all I just remember Ethan hawke and Winona Ryder

True, it really captures the era, especially in retrospect. I was in Texas too at the time, and this takes me right back. It really was like this.
Now Winona Ryder is in a show with Ethan's daughter maya hawke called "stranger things" that takes place in the 80's!!

It's odd that you hear "Young Americans" in the trailer, but the soundtrack has World Party's "When You Come Back to Me" that sounds damn near close to the Bowie tune. I'm glad though, World Party deserved some American exposure.
Huge Ben Stiller fan!..I love his silent comedy..and I know about the hairstyles in 90's..but @ 1:26 he looks funny as hell.

Reminds me of a Rick Linklater film.
Yes. It looks like a Richard Linklater comedy. He directed Ethan Hawke in the “Before” trilogy and Fast Food Nation with Greg Kinnear and Winona Ryder in A Scanner Darkly with Keanu Reeves, RDJ and Woody Harrelson

Ah, the movie where the hottie loser wins the loser, and the winner is the guy you supposedly don't want to be, because somehow he's a sellout simply b/c he's successful. I like "Singles" better, but this does have good lines.
