I love this Scene because he is coming back to her! He feels sorry for his behavior and says that to her. Their Hug and Kisses are so true. Really good!
Love the 90's long grunge guy hair. River Phoenix, Johnny Depp, keanu reeves all looked their hottest then I think.
Brad Pitt, Leonardo, Jared Leto, George Clooney, Christian Bale
Oh yes!
kurt cobain impact
David Tennant
Agreed.
Winona Ryder has the most beautiful face.
She looks 14 for 40 year's
Best movie to come out of the 90's!!! It is so honest and accurate of 20-somethings finding their way in life. Ben Stiller did an amazing job with this one.
As a 20 something I disagree.
Brandi Empress you were not a 20-something in the 90's
@@flopir Early 90s
Hardly noticed him or even remembered he was in it lol
@@seanchaney3086 try again, it was mid 90s.
Aw, his face at 2:05 after she said he was gonna look for him. When they hugged and him kissing her face as well. Couldn’t imagine what he was going through!! 🥺💕
They both look like angels. Beautiful scene, very moving...
i love the way he say we make love..so cute.
Today Is The 30th anniversary Of This Great Classic Movie
So I guess everyone missed the part when he said he got an arcane glimpse of the universe. Meaning he knows what a douche he is. And it's all a bravado, which is why it was ironic that he said Lelaina's was embarrassing. He's scared & insecure.
I love this scene. I love Ethan Hawke in this movie.
and a planet of regret. He is a dickhead.
@@estelazalazar2428 and that’s the reason she likes him the most
Define "ironic" 🤣
@@gllyflower it's when the actual meaning is the complete opposite to the literal meaning
@@rotyler2177 Hi Ro, I think you're trying to be helpful and that's cool, but it's actually a well-known quote from Reality Bites! :)
I kind of got this arcane glimpse of the universe.
Before sunrise included?
Yes
I know what that feels like. To hold someone and just breakdown. To feel the love. To always think of them...to cry for them, always love!!
I went to this actual house in Houston years ago and happened to talk to one of the renters.
They had no idea they were living in a house that was in a movie...they hadn't even heard of 'Reality Bites'!
RAMKING61 savages! 😂
Where is it? What city and state is the house in?
Just noticed that this house is different to the apartment they live in earlier in the film. They obviously wanted a city shot in this one so changed locations and must not have thought no-one else would notice. LoL

Did you throw a pizza on their roof?
I loved this movie when it came out in my teen years. I still love it! This scene melts my heart!
Same
Damn, I love this movie!! The best "friends falling in love" story, ever!!!
I like this movie too I like Ethan hawk in this movie
I have seen quite a few negative comments about Troy and I would like to share my opinion. Don't forget that he is very young, just out of college, afraid of the future and in denial that he needs to grow up. Many young adults go through this stage. On top of that he needs to face and accept the reality that his father is dying, with all the consequences that this brings and all the philosophical questions about life and what it really matters. He has his father's example working in a job he probably disliked all his life to just then die, so he doesn't want to end up like that, he wants his life to have meaning but he doesn't know how, he knows he likes music but he is not taking it too seriously, probably because of society misconceptions, so he is just wasting his time around trying to deal with all this.. he has been in love with Lelaine for years, he knows it but as often happens when you are in love with your best friend, he doesn't bring that up, for fear of rejection or for fear of ruining the friendship. Lelaine has probably subtly rejected him in the past already, at the beginning of the film she jokes about why they never got involved, hinting that is Troy's fault somehow, this kind of behaviour has probably discouraged Troy from opening up about the way he feels.. she is even opposing at him moving him telling everyone how lame he is.. when Lelaine begins to go out with Mike, you can tell straightaway that he is gelous and worried that he might lose Lelaine, he asks who is Mike and he tries to be awkward with him. When he bumps into her and Mike making out, he is obviously upset, so he is mean to her.. she confronts him askibg to speak up but in the heat of the moment he doesn't want to give her the satisfaction.. when she is down he tries to cheer her up, he then finds the courage to kiss her and he tells her that he wants their relationship to evolve (from just friends to a couple) but her rejects him again.. he then does the only thing he can do.. be around her is too painful so he avoids her.. then when she is down again, again he is there for her and they spend the night together.. the morning after he panics, is not sure is good enough for her, he knows she has expectations and he runs away, but at the bar he is not denying that he acted like a jerk and he is honest to her, he does want them to be together but Lelaine is just too annoyed rejecting him again.. so he is mean again, then his father dies, and he has to comes to terms with reality, he gets back and without expecting anything he just wants things to be clear between him and Lelaine. Mike he is a good man, but he is just the safe choice, Lelaine is not in love with him, she goes out with him because society makes her believe he is a more suitable candidate as he has a job, he has a car etc.. but rationalizing is not how you find love.. love is raw and unpredictable and although Mike has a lot to offer, Troy gets Lelaine in a way Mike will never be able to..
He dropped out of college, he isn't fresh out of it since he never graduated from it
This movie is so amazing and REAL! god I miss the 90s so much ben stiller is such an underrated talent! Thank you for posting this! Brings back nothing but the best memories!
I miss life before smart phones
I love this scene so much. The music, the grunginess, everything about it!! Does anyone know the acoustic song playing in the background??
Whitechapel- Eternal refuge
@@comehollaatme7018 very funny, smartass
i love his voice here, so charming
90s haircuts both female and male love it
Thumbs up if you like Ethan Hawke hair.
this scene makes the whole film for me 😢😢
so so very sweet in his horrible coloured / ill fitting suit
Thumps up for Gen X - the most authentic, genuine generation of them all.
Before wokeness ruined everything
They were way too negative tbh like i get it but theres comes a time when you need to grow up and learn to appriecate things and this movie perfectly illustrates that
my most loved movie from the 90's..music..movies..great artist..they all came out from our favorite 90's era.. thumbs up..
I really like crying in this scene, and the background sound makes me cry I love it
this is the sweetest thing ever.
Miss the grungy 90s
I've never seen this film but I wanted to say one thing. I can feel the pain in his voice and in his face and I'm so freaking sorry for all the boys that are not treated well as they should because girls can be crazy and don't trest you right but I'm sorry for that. I've never had a boyfriend in my life but I want to promise myself that I won't ever make funny of him or being with him just for joking.
I remember being done with college, hanging around the college town or in the area for a few years, working, fanning the flame on possible relationships, but in the end all I did was move away and work myself to the bone for 20 years -- Part of me was hoping something this wonderful would happen but it never did. Don't let the special ones float away, don't let it simmer until something blows up and you find clarity when it's too late, live it man, tell the truth, say what you feel, live every second and follow your heart on people, your career will go on regardless, but letting the possible love(s) of your life slip through your hands will leave you nothing but regretful.
Just noticed that this house is different to the apartment they live in earlier in the film. They must not have thought anyone else would notice. LoL
i think the scenes was the back part of the apartment.
Here i'm watching this WONDERFUL scene and just one thing crosses my mind and is...
Who the hell voted thumbs down? Surely that person never fell in love
I was born that year!! WHAT AN AWKWARD WORLD....
me toooo !! i wish i could go back to that time and see what it was like
One of the best movies I watched!
So you've seen maybe 2, 3 movies?
Love this scene.
Wanted her to go with Ben Stiller, but still was happy in the scene cause of Ethan Hawke
I ove this scene! i love Ethan!
sadly this is seldom how it ends..boy this and Walk the Line sets us girls up for disappointment when we try and pull this role
Bummer! You cut it off at the best part, where Troy plays Froggy Went a Courtin on guitar. .. off to look for that clip on RUclips! :)
Reality Bites, one of the films that rightly or wrongly was linked with the Generation X baby boomers. Good film altogether. Received more praise in the later years. Gotto luv the whole romance between Winona Ryder and Ethan Hawke. As Vickie's character in the movie says: "Would the two of you just do it and get it over with? I'm starving!"
Generation X are the children of the baby boomers. They are two different generations. I am in Generation X. My parents are baby boomers.
My dad is a huge fan of Ethan Hawke, and one day he walked in at the MIDDLE of this movie and watched til the end, and said Winona made the right choice. I was like “Actually no, Troy is still the same slacker douche he always was. She would have been better off with Michael.” And my dad was like “NO. He went through a REAL transformation!” And I was like “Yeah...maybe that’ll last for a week before he reverts to his whiny pretentious self. People don’t change.”
But my dad loves Ethan Hawke so he wasn’t having any of it. 😆
I like Winona and Ethan Hawke in this movie and I like how they play in this movie and I like ending of it when Ethan hawke went back to Winona at end of it
Your father was wise.
I love this scene so romantic 😍❤😍❤😍❤😍👌👌👌
He's a baby here
That scene make me cry :(
Does anyone know what the song is?
One of my favorite scenes in the movie
i love him!
My favourite n best scene of the movie “I feel like falling in love again with someone so beautiful like “Vinona” 😊😊
where is the music from???
I have this scene and movie along with the ending of “When Harry Met Sally” to blame in part for my overly romanticized view of love and relationships as a younger man. Let’s just say my version of this didn’t go as well.
It's a shame no one has uploaded the "House of Style" clip at the end or the video package that Ben Stiller shows Winona... Underratedly funny as hell.
and the Froggy Goes a-courtin' . 😄
2:45 what's song? Please tell me please 😭
Did you find out? Help me find it
@@hmicky-mickey did u see reality bites on TV earlier today too?? ahahaha
Hi@@miskay5526 I saw it back in 94. And stumbled here. That song eludes me.
It was never released, it's composition just done for the movie by Greg O'Connor. :(
Hands-on experience. It's the best feeling. Get out there young people
The planet of regret is strong in this one.
30 years after the movie now. The house used in this ending scene is being torn down. Such a beautiful view of the city. Now they build giant townhomes. But they don’t have the charm these old houses had.
my favorite scene, from one of my favorite movies..
@cushere49: correct you are. I would say the same for Singles which was another good movie that for me gets better every time i see it as with Reality Bites.
I love this film. They both have a hard time getting adult dispite they that they are from different background and have different ways of dealing with reality.❤
A great scene love it classic
CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHATS THE SONG @2:14 ???
Did you ever find it?
Real Love👫💕
I wish she had said I love you back
I need this song 😭😭😭 please, someone help me to find?
Not 100% sure but possibly a short cue from the original score written by Karl Wallinger. I can’t find anything online that has the original music written for this movie, just the songs by all the bands (U2, The Knack, etc.).
They cut out the best part. Froggy went a courtin'
looks like most of the kisses were French kisses lol but i really love this movie
What's great is that similar situations like this were happening in real life. Break ups to make ups, you and I till the day we die
LoVely movie 😍😍😍😍😍
Ethan ❤❤❤
Gorgeous music
que romantico :)

She should have chosen Michael. The ending is madness.
“planet of regret..” great. really great
i was too young 😂 when the movie came out and I was into marvel comics but I still love the Stay song by Lisa loeb
That man is dressed up in his Uncle Ned’s clothes.
What song is playing when they kiss???
Esta película son de esas que ya viste pero qué no recuerdas cómo se llamaba nunca le había puesto atención como ahora me encanto
When I drive down this street there are so many townhomes popping up. Hope they don't touch this house.
I wish I could know the soundtrack on 2:34 😭

CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT.
Troy comes back (1994)
donde la puedo ver completa porfavoor
we were so young...
We already know what this is about..
There once was a man who took a brand new shirt and he gave it to his sister.. And she thought that was fair.. Because her brother wears more material than she does.. And so she thought that he should be like a movie star.. That people talk about.. And so she wrote a letter to the movie studios for him and she sent a picture.. To the studio.. And it was Troy.. And so they called him in for an interview.. To meet him in person and he didn't even know what they were talking about but he went in to the studio anyway to find out what that was all about and when he got there, there was a woman at the desk and she told him to sit and wait and that he would be called and so he did that.. And they called him finally after several hours he went in to meet somebody and they asked him if he knows how to dance.. At which time he fell right out of his chair because he could not stop laughing.. And so they made him an offer..
Can someone please tell me the name of the song in this scene
Tried everything, please help

Can anyone tell me what song is playing at the end of this scene? For the love of criminey, I've been trying to figure it out for 25+ years. It sounds damn familiar, but I just don't know. Any help would prevent my brain from multing everytime I watch this movie.

Did they kick out The Garofalo ?
song??
I guess this is how they started that shit "Friends"
Yes
What a bizarre voice Ethan Hawke does in this.
I never understood why people like Ethan Hawke’s character. He’s a selfish, possessive child that only thinks of himself. He’s a weak man.
.. Well, My dad dies..
Sad,you can see the Towers in the background..
The story is set in Houston.
