Ethan Koottumatha doesn’t make him a bad person, it wasn’t personal attacks he said that he didn’t think he was good, Yao fid really good against him blocking many of his shots and Shaq gave him the props he deserved
The combination of the sheer size and athleticism, it won’t ever be seen again. Kobe was right when he said, if Shaq was determined and serious, he would’ve been the greatest player of all time no questions asked. You couldn’t do anything with him besides send him to the free throw line. We’ve never seen a team as dominant in the paint as Shaq. He did whatever he wanted whenever he wanted.
The most dominant player of all time. Not a single person in the history of humanity could slow this guy down. If it wasnt for his horrendous free throw shooting we would be looking at the greatest player to ever play the game.
Take away a foot off shaqs height and he would of probably never made it to the NBA. His entire career was dunking and blocking only achieved by his height. Amazing sportsmanship and great attitude but without his height he would of been nothing else than another basketball player.

I truly am thankful Shaq doesn't exist in the modern game because he would break it. There's maybe 2 players in the league at the moment who could even slow him down. The other 99 percent of the league he could literally score at will against.
When shaq had the basketball most players just got out of his way and forfeit the points. That was how scary and how powerful Shaq was. Edit: unless Hakeem was around

It is interesting. Shaq realized they were not going to call fouls made on him. I do not think he realized that this also meant he was not called for the fouls he made. That was why he felt opposing centers moving away over time. This changed the game for good or bad.
You can't stop him because he bulldozed people with charges backing them down and mostly when he dunked he fouled the defensive player..shaq was a very crude and unskilled player

@@fk4410 Yeah, this. He got away with a lot because he got fouled a lot too. Today a lot of those physical plays would be offensive fouls. You can't just bully ball people too aggressively. To be fair though, in his younger years he could actually spin and jump pretty well for how big he was. If he stayed in good shape and developed a respectable mid range shot to keep people honest he'd still be the most dominant big man in the game in the paint.
