The Tempest hat is SWEET!! OK, on to business :) He-Man He-Man He-Man He-Man ALL DAY. EVERY DAY. Masters of the Universe was life. All I cared about. Since you asked, I'd say Voltron, Thundercats, and Ghostbusters would be my top 3 additions to the list. Great video, as always!

MOTU was, indeed, life. It was great to have some of all the lines… but MOTU topped the list always!

    G. I. Joes were my # 1 action figures I played with in my childhood in the ‘80s. I also loved The Visionaries, C. O. P. S. ‘n’ Crooks, M. A. S. K., Masters of the Universe, Galaxy Warriors, Wrestling Champions, Karate Kommandos, Rambo: The Force of Freedom, Karate Defenders & Ninja Warriors. My dad spoiled us. I think he use to like them himself. I spoil my daughter the same way. Enjoy your childhood while you still have it.
I also collected the Garbage Pail Kids as a kid. I managed to complete the entire set from series 1 to 15. They restarted in the 2000s and I caught the collecting bug again. I ended up completing many of those sets, too. I don’t like the online exclusivity of the latest ones, though. That’s where I gave up.

The short lived Action Man, Action Force figures came to mind as popular action figures here in the UK during the early 80s but they'd never replace my Little Big Man with the Alpine Adventure set being my favourite and the closest thing to actually starring in my very own James Bond movie :-) Keep up the awesome work!

Thanks Jamie! Action Man is a familiar toy here as well, though it didn’t quite find the success of other toy lines.

He-Man and GI Joe were two of my 80’s favorites along with some M.A.S.K, Micro Machines, Viltron and Transformers…… I count the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as 90’s toys, but I’d add them in there too…..

I always thought the villains in all these sets were the coolest. My sister was a big Pony collector and OMG do I remember the Cabbage patch frenzy!! She was lucky enough to get one and thanks to marketing I wanted one too (thankfully my parents were smart enough to see through the hype I bought into) Great job on this one

GI Joe and TMNT toys are my most memorable. I remember having GI Joe planes, action figures and so on. I literally just found all 4 TMNT 12inch tall toys in my parents house, that have heads that move 360°. Anyone remember those from the late 80s? I didn't until I found them the other day. Also on CPCs, there was also the promotion the COnneticut LEather COmpany made that Holiday season with their own videogame console. If parents bought a ColecoVision for the son, they also got a Cabbage Patch Kids doll for the daughter for free. That also fueled the flames of the purchasing wars in 1982/1983. Probably sold a hell of a lot of consoles, given how well-received that port of Donkey Kong was.

    • @RetroDaze
