I was on Hydroxychloroquine for 2 months as an anti malaria precaution while filming a movie in Mozambique eventually I stopped taking it because the side effects where so unpleasant, 2 weeks after a stopped I contracted malaria which was obviously way worse than the meds & now I have it for life.

The side effects made me feel like I had a mild hangover all day everyday & an acute sensitivity to the suns UV rays, as you can imagine this puts you at quite a disadvantage when working under blazing hot African sun 12hrs a day.

I was on Hydroxychloroquine for 2 months as an anti malaria precaution while filming a movie in Mozambique eventually I stopped taking it because the side effects where so unpleasant, 2 weeks after a stopped I contracted malaria which was obviously way worse than the meds & now I have it for life.

Yeah it's a short term treatment not chronic. 6 days for dr. zelenko, 10 days for the French doctor Raoult. The question of side effects is really minor. The counter indications are already known. It's a question of dosage I think.

This drug, it has not been suggested that there taking away any funding or comprising research done by pharmaceutical companies for alternatives (unless I'm wrong?). It’s simply because it’s not PROVEN. There’s nothing wrong with taking it as a last Hope if your really sick with covid19. The thing that Trump is doing that the medical community doesn’t like is he is talking about it like it’s a cure or miracle drug but The research has just not backed that statement up. “Evidence based practice” is the gold standard for medicine. It’s also not appropriate for Trump to push for a certain medical treatment since he is not a dr.
