It shouldn't have added maneuverability while turning. That's all. Edit: Perhaps it's more accurate to say that it shouldn't slow down while turning. It allows for way too much stalling. You don't even need to actually turn Nikita to utilize this. Just wiggle back and forth and it's basically going straight with the added stall.
Robert McCullough no that would be fucking horrible lol the move would go from a great move one of the best in the game (which is fine) to an almost unviable move for edguarding especially against characters with fast recoveries the move is fine as it is sure it’s strong but there’s lots of strong moves we don’t need nerfs only buffs nerds ruin the game
Robert McCullough and “snake” as a character is surely not OP he is extremely laggy doesn’t have high jumps etc he’s a top tier imo but definately not OP I don’t think there are any op character
I don't know why people are hating snake. Snake can be very annoying and op, but it requires a lot of skills. What I want to say is ally deserves to be a snake main, and he's cool.
Kinda sad that this is rare American players care about tiers a lot. Japan’s top 8 is really diverse but it’s good to see that we’re playing different characters.
@Shadow I agree with that. Japan just does not care about tiers at all. It shows when one of the best players in Japan mains freaking Dedede and he takes out Leffen while giving Void a run for his money. While American tourneys can have some variety, many players seem to care more about who is the best rather than who they have the most fun playing as.
For the commentators if you’re watching this, that Dthrow to ftilt at 14:29 was guaranteed since 126% against pikachu specifically, not a gamble. Esam and ally were both aware of this as moments before you see ally missing grabs and Esam punishing his attempts as he went in and out of his grenade grab range to bait the grab out.
Awww :( I really thought ally was going to win although as a snake main i saw ally to stop using the up smash even tho it helped him out alot in the first game i feel like if he didnt stop using that or down smash either he would of got picachu off stage off longer and rack up damage so it would be easier for ally but i guess not another thing he kinda lacked was where his punishes should of hit he didnt up tilt at some moments which could of got him the kill but hopefully ally improves a little bit more cause i know he could beat him
"What is he getting from the parries it's useless bro" uhh yeah I guess preventing your shield from taking damage is useless because no one ever gets shield broken anymore apparently.
Well one of the "nerfs" snake received in patch 3.0 was his grenades doing less damage on shields, so there's very little disadvantage to just shielding his grenades, so his shield isn't ever really at risk of breaking post patch
You're not wrong, but it's for a different reason. Snake unfortunately cannot shorthop over tjolt, which is usually the best option as whether you shield or you parry Pikachu can still follow up with a move. He can full hop, but snake doesn't want to put himself in the air especially against Pikachu. So he's really got no choice but to parry the tjolts or try to retreat to a platform to avoid them

for the dumb commentator repeatedly asking “but what is he [Ally] getting out of these parries?!?!??” - no shield dmg, and no shield stun allowing Esam to pressure his way back to center stage for free ggs by both players
Ally is truly the best snake, he definetly know how to use every move of him, besides keeping up with esam choosing snake is way too too hard, love this game!!!!
Pizza Shark, he’s definitely up there. But if I may ask, what top players are saying this? From my twitter readings it seems most people agree it’s MVD except for the casuals that only watch supermajors.
@@biffyguybiffy6292 ZeRo and ESAM, off the top of my head, although I know there are a couple of big names I'm forgetting. Incidentally, watching supermajors alone, despite its limited data, gives a better understanding of player strength than Twitter LOL
Pizza Shark, no no no no no no no no. One zero isn’t a top player anymore, he’s a streamer and content creator who happens to be very good at the game. But Esam would NEVER say that anyone but MVD is the best snake just last week in streamer showdown he said the MVD is the best snake if you need an actual source.
Nikita is so good it should be its own character in smash.
The only change snake needs to not be "op" anymore is he shouldnt be able to cancel out of Nikita, to make it more like ness's PK thunder.
Robert McCullough that would just make the move bad for edge guarding, especially characters with good recoveries

Aren’t there 8 different characters in the top 8 for this tournament? Awesome!
Yes, and it's kinda crazy
difference between melee and ultimate

125 to be more accurate

@Ken the Third But MVD plays Esam a lot so Esam is one if the best people against snake and MVD is one of the best against Pikachu
@@gator566 In most tournament matches MVD beats Esam
Ally is better with Snake
Ally was literally two pummels away from winning this set...really unfortunate stuff

Picking Snake vs ESAM.
Lets see how that works out for you.
I really want Esam to get far in this. Would love to see Pikachu in atleast top 3
He did it bro! He even beat MKLEO!
He lacks skill. Did you see how went for the scardy cat option for about 90% of this entire set? Spamming B

Let's go ESAM woohoo
argh, two of my favourite players, who to root for? GGs to both on the amazing set!

Snake Killer, let’s go ESAM, hella nice
esam the snake eater
toot he struggled this time
At least Ally didn't get bodied like last time.
It went game 5 the last time
Damn, good match to ESAM. Kinda sucks to not see Ally in top 8, but nice set
6:30 Yeet Smash?

Pikachu is such a face roll character
Ally had the Chance to win Game 4 with the last stock tech-chase kill. Sad story bro.
Esam has way too much Snake practice with MVD to lose this.
4:28 thought he was gonna say "rising tackle" at first
And know we are gonna have a proper rising tackle with terry :D
great set, wished ally counterpicked mario though, that is fun af to watch
I miss Ally's Snake.
i cant stop watching 8:10
yo 8:12 tho,
Olivier Gagnon had to triple take to spot that, Ally with the prophetic spacing
Did ESAM got a hug from detective pikachu at last?!!

I didn't know Jerry Seinfeld was a commentator
Wait a minute--am I seeing this correctly?! Is that really someone actually GOOD at snake?!
The man's been playing him since Brawl alongside MVD
God watching snake is so boring, just constant camping and pressing B. Kinda bad for the game
Lmao it’s really not, try to pick snake up yourself.
i cant believe snake hasnt been nerfed... 170% for pika to kill this broken character. wtf
Pika has that issue with a lot of characters though it seems. Love even when he was fighting Cosmos he was needing to get Inkling to 140 to get KOs
he is no where near broken, you just don't understand the character

It's almost like he's fighting one if strongest zoners in the game and needs to take his time. Don't be a fucking child
In this particular matchup he had to play a different style but in literally every other matchup ESAM is the most aggressive player I know.
Mrniceguy 818 yes, cause using an option that’s very strong against a character who has a really good neutral game is braindead lol
Snake is so campy you have to camp back
You guys really didnt notice he was being sarcastic huh?
