    Sorry for the technical difficulties guys. I was going to edit it out but I didn't want to take away from my initial thoughts about the song.

    They kicked off a huge wave of imitators in the subgenre that was called groove metal. Though, IMO, no imitator was ever as good as Pantera was. Kinda like Meshuggah with djent.

    I actually prefer how the demo of this song sounds. It has different lyrics and an overall darker feel imo

      Same here, love how the symbols on Vinnie's drums are more prevalent aswell!

      I think the demo is better too.The lyrics are cooler, and the guitar sounds a little heavier and slower. I wish the solo was up to par with the Album version though.

    You should hear Hard Ride by Pantera. From the Power Metal album. Phil's 1st record with them. Dime and Vinnies dad does the keyboard work. But great vocals and harmonies.

    I love your reactions bro!! Pantera is the true influence to a whole new idea of what metal was about. Groove was a big part of their music and it was the main thing that I loved about them. I remember when Vulgar came out and I tried to learn every song on that album. The Abbot brothers , Rex, and Phil, imo, changed what metal for the future. Keep the reviews coming man I love it.

    If you're gonna do a full Pantera album do the OFFICIAL LIVE 101 PROOF ALBUM. Not the cowboys from hell album. CFH is great but everything after it is better

    • @puppetmaster8551
      @puppetmaster8551 2 года назад

      That’s definitely not true, all their shit is awesome but many people consider CFH their best album.

    • @integrity101
      @integrity101 2 года назад

      @@puppetmaster8551
      And many people consider Vulgar & Far Beyond tbeir best albums. Christ the band members themselves considered CFH to be the least impressive major label album & it showed in the setlist.

    • @puppetmaster8551
      @puppetmaster8551 2 года назад

      @@integrity101 saying everything after is better is just a stupid statement, CFH is a classic and has multiple of their most iconic and best songs on it. Reinventing the steel ain’t fuckin better than CFH lol. CFH and vulgar are their 2 most critically acclaimed albums, say vulgar or even FBD is better than CFH and that’s cool but acting like is some definite thing that all the albums after CFH are better is just a stupid statement.

    • @integrity101
      @integrity101 2 года назад

      @@puppetmaster8551
      You not understanding the meaning of the word opinion is stupid. Phil, Vinnie, Dime & Rex would all tell you Reinventing The Steel is the better record. As they are all on record saying Steel is their best/2nd best release. I agree. Reinventing The Steel is a classic record. Trendkill is a classic record. Far Beyond Driven is a classic record. Newsflash Einstein they've all been voted a CLASSIC by fans. Christ fans just voted RTS the *fourth greatest final album of all time.* Why do you think when Pantera played live there would be 4 or 5 songs from Vulgar, FBD, & RTS in the setlist every night while only 1-2 CFH & Trendkill songs?? You must never have heard their Live album. Gee, what album gets represented the least on Panteras live album? CFH. Even the greatest hits album only has 2 CFH songs while FBD & RTS each got 4. CFH is a great classic record but it CLEARLY represents the band before they truly found their sound which is why the band almost entirely omitted the CFH material from the set list the 2nd half of their career.
      As for hit songs, Pantera has one top 40 hit in their entire career in America. Guess what album its on?
      All 5 albums are classics but whether you like it or not their is a HUGE HUGE portion of the fan base that prefers their later albums like Trendkill FBD & RTS over CFH.

    • @puppetmaster8551
      @puppetmaster8551 2 года назад

      @@integrity101 you’re delusional, not even gonna get into some long wall of text but you’re absolutely out of your mind if you think more of the fanbase prefer trendkill or reinventing over CFH, vulgar or far beyond driven sure a lot of people prefer those of CFH, CFH is a top 3 most popular pantera album and a top 2 album reviews wise.

    This album came out in the late '80s. Iron maiden was way past their peak and never put out anything decent again. Van Halen even with Sammy Hagar was over with... Pantera was new and different and exciting. The producer of this album Terry date produced some great s*** look him up and look up the s*** he came out with at the time such as overkill, years of decay, metal Church, mind funk. It was the changing of the guards.
