Dear Jeroen Tel. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for composing overlord theme song on the NES. I am currently working on a hardstyle mix of it. It sounds so amazing I can sit here for hours just listening to the same tune
Jeroen Tel, I will forever regard you as THE musical genius. I found about you from a friend of mine (whom you have spoken to) who ported Pools Of Poison to an online music creation app.. And then a few others. You are amazing, and writing music myself, you inspire me constantly. Thanks to you and M.O.N. for the wonderful tunes.
@@julienbraudel7109 You're correct, that's why I wrote "responsible to some" as it wasn't a list. My comment was just something I had to say about people thinking that music is a contest between one who's better than another
Everyone raves about Hubbard but as far as I am concerned, you Jeroen, Charles Deenen and Johannes Bjerregaard did the best music I ever heard on the C64. I love you guys and I'm listening to this awesome music right now :)
Hubbard is responsible for some of the best music EVER on the 64, you cannot possibly deny that fact!! Which is why people 'rave' about him, and quite rightly so, he is one of the legends of the C64/SID history, and still going strong with various C64 related projects going on. Same goes for the legendary Martin Galway, he's one of the best...no contest!! Jeroen is amazing too, but where would the more modern C64 based musicians be without the legendary teachers like Hubbard, Galway, Matt Gray, Ben Daglish, Jonathan Dunn etc etc!!
@@filevans Fancy replying to a 6 year old post with such a childish insult! Presumably you weren't old enough to be allowed on RUclips when I posted the comment back in 2015.
This is the most incredible thing ever. I can't describe how wonderful this makes me feel. I have to just keep writing my book to it. May the multiverse be blessed by this piece in every reality imaginable.
Awesome stuff this. The Maniacs of Noise were the heroes of my early teens on C64 ever since I heard Charles Deenen's awesome Zamzara soundtrack back in early '89. From then on I hunted out pretty much every game with MON sound. Cybernoid 1 & 2, Eliminator, Tomcat, Hawkeye, Scorpion, Stormlord, Hotrod, Myth, Golden Axe, Turbo Outrun etc.. Great to see that you guys are still making amazing music! Huge respect Jeroen!
Thank you for this! :) I still listen to those cool sid tunes now and then, lots of good memories and excellent music. Back in the day I used to buy C64 games based on who made the music for it :D.
OMG. this is my best youtube find this month. Thanks ReculsiveLemming for bringing me here. And thanks Jeroen for this awesome combination of chitpune and funk.
So I gotta ask...20 minutes in to this, I can hear what sounds like the beginning of Michael Jackson's Thriller, which then seamlessly transitions into a Streets of Ragesque style in the most beautiful of ways...Was that the inspiration for that moment? This is seriously the best piece fo music I have ever listened to...Absolutely love this.
Like the fatter beats compared to v1 - anyhow a unique masterpiece and one of my all time favorites! Big respect to JT, MON and all Generation 64ers!!!
How, what, when? Could you please answer that. Rod was my dear friend and he suddenly disappeared... (your R.I.P. message here was my first sign he was indeed, gone...) :-( What happened to him? Could you PLEASE tell me? That would be utterly appreciated.

For one... yes, you can use the music... and for two: I have to look into that if replying is impossible with a "space" in between the username! Thanks for pointing that out! :-)
Nice, reminds me of the good old days on the C64. :) I'm curious if the song was used in a real SID (C64, sidstation, MidiBox?), or any other synthesizer ? Anyway, I hope it will be more songs. Greetings from Poland.
Great stuff... I also enjoyed your older SID tunes dude, as Deeel 3,Dying High,RoboCop 3 or Turbo Outrun.Oh and Supremacy of course. BTW: Why was that 'Unused 1' sid never used? ;-) It sounds pretty good, too.
This is such an immense piece of music. I loved listening to computer music back in the 80's and after all these years I still think it's the most expressive method of music there is. You can keep your taylor swift and kayne west nonsense. Give me the likes of Wave, Elwood, Radix, Groo, Purple Motion, Purple Motion, Emax etc any day.
I've stumbled upon this track a while ago, as being part of the selected tracks for the "Super Dungeon Master" game on Steam. Needless to say it quickly got me hooked! I don't know if you or your collaborators will get the chance to read this, but your production has somewhat boosted my motivation to compose my own music tracks. I have a personal preference for trackers and module files, which I've discovered in games like Pinball Dreams. After some time spend messing around with trackers, I have right now a couple tracks done, two in the making, and many ideas in mind. And who knows, perhaps one day I'll be able to make a 20-minute long epic as you did. Who knows? That being said, thanks again to you and your team mates for this great track.
A late reply, but better late than never: Thanks for your feedback ! I myself mainly use Renoise (a tracker) to produce my music. Good luck 🍀 in your music endeavours and stay inspired ! 😎
This is a wonderful journey through the years... Listening to this I have flashbacks of sleepless nights pounding my neighbor's Amiga or clenching my Gameboy and killing Tetris under the covers until the sun came out :> Apart from all that, this is simply awesome and inspiring. Thanks, guys! Keep up the good work and please pardon me now... I'm going back to dancing around the house. P.S. My neighbors hate you.

Ich liebe diese Lieder. Really love the work you've done over the years. You, Tim Follin and Rob.
