FUCKING BRILLIANT! I hadn’t thought of simple just pushing the tie rod out by turning the steering wheel! This gave me enough space to use my breaker and a cheater pipe over it to break it loose. You’re a godsend, no other video recommends what you have! Thank you
Awesome video. I picked up the inner tie rod tool for like $13 on Amazon. Broke free both of my inner tie rods on my 2007 A4 2.0T. I had to lay down some strength on it, but nothing too crazy. Broke it free exactly like in the video. Nothing, and then boom it's completely loose. No adjustable wrench or crows foot needed. Gave the new inner's a good snug tightening with the tool afterwards. Should be good. Thanks man.
Its just the Audi design for the C5 A6 - I dont think its specific to the Allroad. Now, the Allroad and the A6 DO have different control arms - but thats because of the Allroads air suspension and variable height. The tie rods are still situated in the same spot for both models (to my knowledge). Great question though - thanks for the view and comment!

Hey! Thanks for the view and comment. Glad you liked the video and the tool worked for you as well. Good job getting that task finished!
Save that boot if it’s good by cutting the seized outer tie rod end off by the threads. Also gives a bit more room to get the tool in and get it done.
good, i have the same problem, so am gonna change even the inner rod
Good luck Brother - thanks for watching and thanks for the comment!
How come your tie rod is above the knuckle ? Is this specific for all road? Or lift kits?
