So true and great advice Dave. You hit the nail on the head when you talked about the issues people face when they have larger collections to manage. My back just can't handle too much weight and shuffling on the same day! That dawn redwood forest planting is going to look brilliant when it is in full colour :)
Great sage advice on the shuffle. I’ve probably got 20 years on you Dave, so your words ring very true to these old ears! As soon as the weather improves, I’ll be planting my DR forest. 11 trees! Is Toby available to help me too?
yeah my trees are starting to show signs of waking up but we are not out of the freexing xone yet so i am keeping them inside untill we get past our last frost date to make sure they survive. ❤❤😊😊
most of rees are tropical so i bring them in to keep them safe cause i don't have any where else tp keep them. and through out the winter i bottom water them so they dont dry out completely untill i get over my last frost date.

Thanks for showing some of Candice's trees. She did really great work. The Bonsai Shuffle is no joke! Lol!
Very interesting and informative discussion/tutorial. Thanks Dave, keep growing

Great video, Dave!! Dealing with the same conundrum here in Toronto. All the best!
Great advice on when to move the trees, especially the heavy ones.
hahaha - the bonsai shuffle - what fun
Nice updates on the trees. Will you try and root some of the cuttings from the DR"s? Just a thought.
i'm getting ready for the shuffle myself.😊😊❤❤❤❤
another great vid!!
Nice video! I live in MN and have been in the hobby about 3 years. This year I plan on going to the juniper workshop in April. Subscribed!

I’ll ask Toby for you. You are not 75 my friend . If you are, you’re looking great! 😊
@@DavesBonsai that means you’re 55?? If so, you’re looking great too! I had you as 48, so now you know my true age.
