- For anyone that respects the two point converters of our game, then they would know Daryl 'Chook' Halligan. He joined Matty Johns, Fletch & Hindy on Sunday night to answer some of your questions, and revisit his masterclass against Parramatta in the 1998 Preliminary Final (sorry Hindy!)

Hazem El Masri continued the tradition of feared Bulldogs kickers for a long time too
And it would have continued if the Bulldogs haven't dropped Jonathan Thurston to the Cowboys.
"Any more questions sausage dog" 🤣🤣🤣
Thank you Chook we love ya
Great segment! The GOAT
He could pot 'em... Help the doggies win a lot games with that boot
i wish this guy was involved somewhat in the bulldogs....all the respect sweat blood and tears its all been thrown in the bin thanks to the players and ceo
I remember Michael da vere curling the ball before JT
The man.
Great segment.
Thank - you very entertaining
Greatest NZ league kicker hands down. And an all time classic character
Some great kiwi kickers in his era for sure tho
great goal kicker, good dude...........but terrible league commentator
@@gulello Nobody asked? Your entitled to yours though brother. 👊🇳🇿
@@dantaylor897 you're right nobody asked for my opinon on DH's commentary abilities. Can I ask you this - do you rate his league commentary?
8:31 Love it every time I see this kick
One of the great goal kickers of our games, Great to see him.
Norths had some sort of curse with goal kickers. In 1997, Jason Taylor missed 2/5 against Newcastle including a kick to send Norths into the grand final.
"But your pregnant? " ok we will get married then. Hahaha
Good on ya Halligan 1 of the best ever
I remember one of the footy OGs telling me about 2 great around the corner kickers. One was the great John Gray and another was another English player for Penrith i think but his name escapes me. I heard both were elite around the corner kickers at the time and were probably the first guys ever to use it in the top grade
johnny wilkinson maybe i don't know just guessing
Interesting that Michael Witt never gets mentioned in the best goal kicker lists ... but had the best % of them all
💯 62 goals from 67. Technically he had the best percentage in a season.
Rod Wishart had a way of kicking too...
How does Adam Reynolds not feature in the conversation of top goalkickers?
83% over his career isnt a shabby stat but where's that consider in top goal kicker conversation? Honest question.
Sorry looked into it and the considered GOAT Hazem El Masri had 82%
If Reynolds is still at 83% in 5 years he’ll be considered one of the goats
@@jakeismyfirstname 83% over 9 years, kicked 90% 2nd year into NRL career
the bloke gets injured every 2nd week so he loses respect.
Matthew Johns says "Mick Cronin was the first star goalkicker", uhhhh what about golden boots Keith Barnes from Balmain in the 1950s and 1960s?.
Who???
Steve Gearin-berries, Graeme Eadie-Manly, Steve Rogers-Cronulla, Steve Johnson-Dragons. I remember these when i was a kid.
Lol So good.. lol
Those first synthetic footballs were garbage, no wonder 67% was considered good. The crow, Mick Cronin kicked 27 straight in 1978 with those leather pointy steedens, steel cap boots and all. Legend
probably the best kiwi to ever play
That kick at 8:33 though😮😲
I use to practice kicking like you as a youngin
Top 5 goal kickers of all time
Hazem
Thurston
Galligan
John's
Chris Tucker
Michael Witt better % then them all
@@forrestgump447 kicking 2/2 in one season doesn’t count
Hey yun... funny guy
@@forrestgump447 and hazem is the one off the top of my head that has a higher kicking percentage
Didn’t know Matt giteu was half kiwi
i believe he is the father of jonathan thurston and hazem el masri. in terms of kicking
Great kicker... terrible commentator
Aside from his goal kicking a very average player indeed!
Funny laughs at the end, sausage dog
