INSTALLING SOUND PANELS | 1976 K5 CHEVY BLAZER

Jess and Kris put in some Kill Mat sound panels to hope deaden the loud noise of driving an almost 40yr old vehicle! And we think it WORKED! They also fixed...and then busted...the speakers so we went on a hunt to find some replacements. We are loving working on this beast and have many more projects in the works. Stay tuned!

To really quit it down spray lizard skin followed by under body sealer like linex or rhino lining . Cuts both noise and heat plus protects the body and frame for years ta come.

Two questions, one did the Blazer make it down to Vegas? And how long did it take you to install the kill mat? Just installing it not taking everything out and installing it back in.

Response: Decided to sell the Blazer up here in Alaska once we learned how expensive it would be to ship it down along with the rest of our stuff. Also, prices for these old K5s are even more inflated up here than in the states so shipping it down didn't make any financial sense. The Kilmat was about 6 hours of work just in applying it. Even when you can lay full sheets, you have to do it with care and then roll it to get enough contact with the metal. It was kind of a pain.
