    Now I feel better!
    My husband bought a 1974 Chevy Suburban K20 4x4, and I thought it looked a little rough, but it runs and drives. He got a title, and he only paid 2300 delivered!
    Ok, and a lot less rust than this one.

    Put a LS in it and it will last forever. Dont go wast money on intake and stuff use the factor intake on LS and you will have a nice truck. Weld up the front supports that go to the fire wall and body mount. They get rusty and sag down. Use something to under body also the back of them rust out by the tailgate hindge and sag also. Other than that you got a beautiful Blazer. They go everywhere in the woods with the short wheelbase also. The look cool lifted with nice wheel and tires

    Made it to the end of the video about you selling it and by that point looks like you did find a window crank so I don't got to worry about trying to dig out the one that I've got here or trying to remember where it's at LOL . Quite likely it's in the back room on one of a couple shelves because last going off it was in that wooden three drawer unit and if I remember correctly I took everything out of it and put it on one of the shelves. At any rate you found a window crank for it

    You would be missing the window Winder,. It's been 6 years I don't know where to look for it anymore or I'd give you one. I had one off my 72 where I had an extra long story. I'm kind of drawing a blank I don't know where it is now. Last time I seen it was roughly 6 years ago so I know it's here in the house but I can't remember where slap in the face is it'll probably come to me and I won't remember where this video is on RUclips. I don't think it's something simple like sitting on the shelf in the other room cuz I know it used to be in that wooden three drawer unit that came apart and I don't remember where I put the stuff that was in that wooden unit.i used to have a little wooden thing look like a small filing cabinet was from a radio station down here and I had a bunch of stuff in it like badges off of a old Corvette that kind of thing but I can't remember where I took the stuff that was in it when it got stuck shot and I had to Pride open to get something out took everything out of it can't remember where I put the stuff now.

    Center bolt valve covers do not necessarily mean "vortec" all 1987 and on SBCs had them. More than likely just regular TBI heads. Vortec are after 1995. These heads also fit all SBC blocks. So it could be an early block pre 87 with late heads.

I’d go straight to 1 ton axles to save you bunches of money in the long run!!! I run a 1969 Chevy 1Ton 4x4 with 13” of lift and 39” boggers and of course like I said it’s a 1Ton!! I also have a 1981 Chevy 1Ton 4x4!! Did you end up changing the calipers??? If they end up sitting for a long time they can stick causing the brakes to heat up and lock up!! Awesome video buddy and remember keep up all the hard work buddy!!!

    This actually looks better than the 72 that I had I had the 72 version with the full convertible roof fiberglass. This is the newer model with the half roof. God I miss that unit two wheel drive version. Video you've got here should have been playing the theme from The Terminator. They had one of these rigs in an early scene of the Terminator with a machine gun mounted in the back I've only ever seen one four wheel drive model and every time I drive by the guys house I feel sick it was practically rust free when he got it guy drove it for a month or two and stop driving it because of the price of gas and it's sitting wasting away now in his driveway for about 15 years he got it not long after I had to give up on the 72. A couple people have tried to buy it and the guy for whatever reason just wouldn't sell it can't remember if it's got a 350 or 454 in the one that he's got

    • @peterparker6584
      @peterparker6584 Год назад

      @@twowheeltoys I was a lot stupider when I was younger lol. Bear in mind I was 20ish. I started with a unit that had been a one owner and been practically stripped to the Bone. Somebody ended up buying it because it had a crate motor in it the last going off. First owner put a crate motor in it drove it for three or four years with the crate motor and then it's set for I don't know how many years. This guy at some point had put body panels on the sides replacement panels at least once the floor pans had been replaced and so on. He had put aftermarket drivetrain on most of it had a 12-volt rear end posi and none of the front drivetrain was Factory which made getting a lot of parts for it interesting. It had oversized brakes on the front that were way bigger than Factory as well as most of the other front drivetrain lol. When I got it the guy that had bought it for parts had taken off the tailgate the windshield engine bonnet motor transmission drive shaft front and rear bumper and it had a bad steering column and the unit the steering column attached to that goes to the front end was bad, gauge cluster was broken there was no window winders on the Windows no door panels no exhaust system entire brake system was gone lol.
      I ended up buying a truck that had a motor in it out of a GTO lol. Truck had been in Farmers field for God knows how long and he put the motor in the truck out of the GTO when he rolled the GTO. Used the windshield off of that truck front bumper the engine that he put in it from the GTO and I think a few other pieces on the Jimmy. Door panels gas tank rear bumper gauge cluster I used out of a 86 if I remember correctly. Driver side seat I put in it where it had no seat was out of a camper van. Dash pad I know come out of that 86. I'm struggling to remember where I got a steering column for it. Carburetor was from the 1970s in a sealed box that somebody had laying in a room of Parts where they used to run a garage down here lol. Transmission I used came out of a Knight Rider model Firebird that was pretty much stripped transmission was in the back seat and we use the transmission and the steering wheel off of it on the Jimmy lol. Guy ended up buying that transmission from me when I put it out the Jimmy where he wanted the transmission for a 80 something that he was trying to do everything Factory original to that particular year.
      We had to have a custom driveshaft made to use that transmission. Exhaust system was a bunch of scraps of pipe and hanger that they had at a Speedy Muffler lol and two of the cheapest Mufflers they had. We replaced the entire brake system from the master cylinder back lines pads calipers rotors brake drums everything all brand new. Front wheel bearings too. Can't remember if we did the back wheel bearings or not all new universals for the drive shaft. Took the engine that was out of that GTO that had been half-assed into the old truck and my father put a gasket kit in the motor new set of plugs and plug wires. Brake lights we used on the Jimmy were off of that truck that was in the farmers field as well. Engine Bonnet was off of another truck from another Farmer's field. Tailgate I got was a brand new aftermarket tailgate where a guy had bought the tailgate and rolled his rig about a week after buying the tailgate. So the whole time I own the vehicle it had no back window just a piece of wood in the tailgate with a couple of long nails through it to hold the wood up when you were driving lol. No back seat in it just the two bucket seats in the front. Lap belts I forget what vehicle we got the lap belts out of where it had no seat belts when I started lol. Ridiculous I'm out of the parts came off of that 87 that was wrecked was some special edition version that had some stupid interior package Wrangler or something like that. Honestly in hindsight I should have just patched it up I could have got another two or three years out of it. I drove it for several years and I started having a problem bizarrely with the carburetor it needed a couple front end parts and a piece welded in the floor I probably could have got another year to out of it but didn't want to spend another at that point would have been like 400 plus probably replacing the carburetor. Something started going wonky in the carburetor after like 4 years float was sticking or something and it started Dragon firing out of the carburetor. It would backfire up through the carburetor which started several fires lol and I stopped at that point driving it. Speed Shop that I got a lot of parts from did stalkers and they got the GTO motor that they ended up using in a track car that they built. Guy that was doing a Firebird got the transmission. I used the entire drivetrain and exhaust system door panels window winders windshield front bumper brake lights I think even the steering column glove box dash pad and gauge cluster on a 86 short wheelbase that I bought or I should say my grandfather bought to be more specific after I told him not to get it. Had trouble with that truck the entire time I owned it kept breaking down constantly ironically I never really had much trouble with the Jimmy breaking down. Stuff I had with the Jimmy had been like a battery went bad couple of bad ground wires at different times one of the wires broke for the brake lights and I had to replace the entire two wires going from up in the front all the way back to the brake lights that kind of thing but was always silly stupid stuff. Like I replaced the alternator at one point. But that 86 short wheel base I don't know why it just kept breaking down constantly last going off it blew a hole in the engine despite having a rebuilt 350 in it with a crap load of new parts on it lol. Ironic how long that goddamn exhaust system lasted and was still in good shape when I sold the other truck use nearly the entire exhaust system off the Jimmy on that short wheelbase used all the brake parts and so on that didn't end up getting reused was the master cylinder. Somebody bought the tailgate as an example and somebody got the front or rear bumper whichever one I didn't end up using was almost nothing left of it when it went for scrap I think somebody even got the engine on it lol. The two-wheel drive ones are super rare around these parts even the four-wheel drive ones were pretty uncommon. Guy that I bought it from never did like me very much because the crate motor that he took out of it didn't last him 2 years and that motor that I pulled out of a vehicle in a field lasted me quite a few years and ended up being like I said properly rebuilt and used in a track car lol. I think I spent about $2,500 including what I paid for it. Doing that same level of insanity now would probably run you five grand and you wouldn't be able to get most of the parts the way I did. You can't just go around getting stuff out of the farmers Fields anymore because the farmers got rid of everything when scrap metal got high in the mid2000s at one point they were getting like 400 bucks per vehicle so everything got cleaned out of the fields around here. Probably would have been a miserable time trying to get parts that old from most salvage yards lol. When the scrap metal was high even the salvage yards pretty much got rid of everything so there's not a lot of yards around here with anything more than from like the 1990s nowadays pretty much anything before like 94 is gone
