I played WAW’s campaign for the first time last year, and I LOVED IT!! As a history nerd on military aircraft and WW2, this game was beautiful! Although not the most accurate, it was amazingly authentic, and the Soviet half was awesome!
@@seankotch5055 BO1 was the last one that was any good. MW3 and BO2 were pretty lack luster. I'd also not call WaW a first because you have COD 1-3 and MW1 which all had great campaigns. Especially COD 2 Big Red One as my favorite.
I remember final fronts, jeez.. i remember the british mission when there is a sniper in the windmill. If you wait long enough your team mates would start getting upset & just tell you to use a smoke grenade
I had the cods on the wii. And i am 100% serious when i say id do anything to relive those days. Ugh i miss it so much, playing on my new xbox doesnt fill that void.

You forgot the best version, the PC version. It has a server browser for custom games with up to 64 players, mod tools, and you can play 90fps with higher resolution.
Fun fact: if you play PC multi,you can find a modded server that basically lets you play bo1 with the amount of mods. The maps are still from the original game files,but the weapons are the treat. Finally,I get to use the galil without having to pay. (I’m not poor,just saving what I have left)

The DS CODs are surprisingly good, there's no reason to play them now really but for their time they're solid and content packed, rather surprising sleeper DS hits
I had the DS version there actually was multi-player and i played a few 2v2 matches with randoms over the Nintendo wifi. But there were hackers and a lot of issues so it wasn't that good because i hardly ever got a decent match. I completed the single player and it was ok but it had a lot of weird miniganes that were confused to do.
Crazy that the 360 had the worst defect ever on release and still ended up being one of the best consoles ever. Never forget the first time seeing Gears of War. Btw we need that remastered. Best COD campaign imo. Co op and it had a point system.
Used to play the Wii version religiously as a kid. It was fun but some much content was removed cause of hardware limitations. They removed gore, nazi zombies, and worst of all the Black Cats mission. Still a fun time regardless
From what i heard about the PS2 version of WAW it basically has the campaign that they originally wanted for the Xbox & PS3 releases but i guess they didn't have the time to add it in or they couldn't make it work, either way i heard on the PS2 you get a campaign with the British & U.S. Armies in Germany, a shame we couldn't get all 4 sides because it would've been interesting to see a British & U.S. campaign on the Xbox & PS3 not to mention it would've been cool having a British character in Nazi zombies
Final fronts isn't world at war technically... Funny enough it was released a day before waw and is actually a filler of the Pacific story in waw and it was clunky asf but fun
I played every COD game on the DS!! And I think BO1 & MW2 were the best, WaW & MW1 were also good Also the DS versions have the same or similar story to the PS/Xbox version but played from a different perspective with different characters!!
