Usually that speaker is connected To the govt. nobody outside the government would call him a traitor. That’s how we know we can’t trust the govt . The whole country agrees with Snowden and what he did was the right thing. How is it that it’s the govt vs civilians? They are supposed to represent us. And they aren’t. You are a hero, for doing the right thing!!
yeah, very good interview
Wake up wigouts. It was NO surprise that the US (DEEP STATE) GOV was spying on their citizens. Its information warfare. You dont need a 'well spoken' nerd to tell you this fact. Snowden is a bad actor. Read the drops. Its obvious.
Heelys to escape my feelys absolutely agreed. snowden is just one of the latest and most publicized
Snowden is a great example of integrity... Doing the right thing when no one is watching!
How can this man be treated as a traitor really disappointed on how the us treated him
Well said.
But he paid the high price - and the price could be even higher if he won't escape. The government will do EVERYTHING to keep it's power, EVERYTHING.
Agree. He knew he was putting life on the line. Knew he would most likely end on the run. And still did it.
@@aaabbb-qv4ff this is the proof the government is not the whole problem. The government is bought.
First a pardon, then head of cyber security. One can hope.
YES, Agree! He's a selfless hero! We need him here in America to expose and remedy these communistic big tech companies.
What an excellent idea, from your lips to gods ears into trumps desk
@@brightpage1020 No, he was forced to flee for his life, it was not his choice it was the only option, and by the way he was on his way to another country when Obama froze his travel visa
@@brightpage1020 i don't think he was left any choice!
I hope my wife lets me have a girlfriend. i hope i can find a good one, too.
If they violated the law by collecting our data without our consent how could they possibly accuse another person of committing crime. They violated the law and privacy of the people against the law yet they want to punish another person who exposes these violations. I need help understanding this
The rules don't apply the same to those in authority. They should, but they never do.
When you write the laws.........
Wow, what a well-spoken and intelligent man. Thank you for having the courage to stand up for our freedoms, Mr. Snowden.
Great Interview. Mr Snowden is one of the most articulate and thoughtful people there is in our current day society; and we can learn a great deal from his knowledge and struggle. All the best to him and thank you Mr Stossel for presenting this interview to the public.
This man Edward Snowden, leaked more classified information to foreign nations than any spy in human history.
Which is why he is housed by Putin.
Only morons think what he did was a hero.
And the fact that the CIA has been monitoring americans was literally written into the Patriot Act.
Only the fools who don't pay attention didn't see what was happening.
Amazing interview. Edward speaks so much sense I cannot believe he’s called a traitor for telling the truth😢
He is labelled a traitor because he swore to not reveal the truth about the lies, but he didnt keep that oath! Wrap your head round THAT!
@@RottenInDenmarkOrginalyou really just proved some shit 💯💯💯

He is a traitor to the traders
Big segment of the population also can't deal with truth. They cloak themselves in liberal leadership and their disgusting media
Great interview, Snowden should be granted immunity to be a free man, he deserves to be recognized by Americans for being a patriot and looking after people's interests. Time is paying him back, everyone knows google, apple, facebook, wassup, Instagram, youtube, TikTok - Chinese, and amazon are listening to all Americans through our devices, phones mainly. He told us years ago, and look what is happening now.
This is a great interview. I have completely changed my mind about Snowden. I want to sign the pardon petition.
Ditto
what do you mean it changed your mind ? he was a hero all along
@@Frenchy78ify Well, I didn't think that originally.
@@reinhmr well that's weird, he literally instantly made a big service to the whole world and then was persecuted by the US for it, anyway

Wow. Thank you, Mr Stossel. That was an epic and utterly compelling interview with a truly great man. Edward Snowden's courage and intelligence are an inspiration to freedom-loving people everywhere. 🇬🇧
Wow, truly great? You have no morals!
Thank you John. Outstanding interview with a true American Patriot
He is a hero for all who love freedom! Very good interview!
Mr. Snowden has made great sacrifices at highest risks for us ordinary citizens THANK YOU!
Your damn right he did the right thing. Thanks for this interview.
Am a USMC combat vet, AFG & IRQ, and I was one of the many who mistakenly believed Mr. Snowden was a traitor. Could not have been more incorrect. After reading his book and watching many interviews with him I am able to see clearly: Mr. Snowden is a hero.
Spot on Brother. Semper t
Remember, Biden and Obama are the reasons he can’t return to the US. They even threatened Trump when they thought he was going to pardon Snowden. Now you can see the reasons why.
(Marco Rubio was involved in threatening Trump as well never forget that).
History shows sometimes only takes ONE dime.
Same here brother. I signed up for the Army July of 2002. I was 21 years old and believed in our government and our country as many of us young men do. As I got older I started to realize that we've all been duped. I have lots to say but unfortunately I cannot say it as you understand. Good luck brother
Many people treated him that way. The government is expert level with disinformation and slander. Thank you for your service to our country and your ability to correct yourself.
Thank you for telling us about Canada and “The Five Eyes”. Thank you for all you have done and continue to do. Please keep on being you!
just finished reading Snowden's book "Permanent Record" what an inspiring biography. Stand tall and proud for it took great courage to reveal the government's criminal behavior towards all people worldwide. It is sad that people who lie get rewarded while people who defend the truth get attacked.
Which is exactly the way they want you to think. Great Public Relations.
Thanks for letting me know that he had a book published. I will look for it.
Our form of American governance only works within a virtuous and civically engaged populace, and Snowden exemplifies this spirit. We have lost both of these protections, and seem now to be sailing into The Abyss. The friggin FISA court spied on a presidential candidate, of all things. Nothing improved.
Truth, honesty, and free speech are so beautiful.
Free speech can be a nasty place, but its still a better place than anywhere else
And unless the sheeple realize that the political atmosphere is nothing more than a show. One that's intent is control. And then take a stand to enforce the constitution. All of that will be gone shortly.
When u realize the device they created-the smartphone-shamefully compresses all "essential" innovations into one, to funnel all profit and resource to big tech, you see w they're doing w citizens and the virus
"We are not the users of this system, we are being used by the system." - Edward Snowden
"We do not ride upon the railroad, the railroad rides upon us." -Henry David Thoreau, on one impact of industrial- technological realized innovation, and what it really means, in the end. Your quote selection reminded me of this citation, and of the impact of massively rich, private organizations in his time.
I think he quoted Richard Stallman.
