Couldn't disagree more, with all due respect. Throttle control through the bends is exactly what keeps the tail of the car in control; if he put it flat out after the apex of every corner, he'd lose the tail end every time.
A "fastest" run ought to be performed on proper, optimal tires - "good for rain" doesn't cut it. If the intent was to assess the relative performance of the cars, each driver would establish a best time with each car...otherwise driver skill is a significant factor in the results. Cool track cars all!
True, these types of cars should be the future especially in this age of special composites, even aluminium. Car weights should be going down not up, but then, obese cars for obese people seems to be the norm.
they're right on the exhaust front, I've got something similar with the exhaust on the drivers side and any stretch of dual carriage way sat at 3k rpm gets old fast
one driver in all cars. and none of these guys in the video. not very good... the atom drive er was hopeless. he don't know how to drive . its rear wheel he drove it like a front wheel drive. it has to be driven through all the bend not cruise into the bend. silly .
I couldn't take it anymore,I stopped watching at the 6:04 point. They need to try pushing a few Mini-Vans to the limit before jumping into really great machines which had enough power to show they are not ready for them yet. (Warning) This misrepresents the cars they thought they were able to drive!
Watching the Caterham drive I see the pilot doing all sorts of thing with the throttle on the wiggly bits. Not good. There are only two positions for the right foot, flat on the loud pedal or else flat on the brake. Nothing else.
Add "Chris Harris" to the video tag.

The Caterham sounds the best.

lotus 211... best looking track day car and the most exciting to drive.... and the whine of the supercharger.... the best.
One thing that I was surprised wasn't mentioned was how downforce (or lack thereof) played into the equation.
Don't think Angelsey is quick enough to make much difference.

OH DEAR..
There might be some flex in the Caterham's chassis?
Compare cars with same driver.. Chris of course!
They are gokart
Donkervoort D8 GTO should also be in the video

Patrick Teto It's so nice when you read someone who clearly doesn't have the slightest clue on what he is talking about rofl
He drives the Atom poorly then bag's the chassis for breaking at the rear end when in truth he uses a ham-foot on the accelerator like a buffoon.
