How to Configure Yahoo Mail Account in OUTLOOK 2016 & Fix yahoo Mail password error

This worked for me, the only think that on my yahoo email there was no slider to allow aps that use less secure sign in. What I had to do was to generate a password for outlook android on my yahoo mail ( this is located in the same place where the slider to to allow aps that use less secure sign in should be in yahoo mail. I than used this generated password to paste it in the Outlook and it worked!

For those who cannot find toggle "Allow less secure connection" in 2020. Please use ‘Generate App Password’ where you need to select your mail application and generate a key for it. Then just use the key instead of your password while setting up your mail client the way how it's shown in the video.

Thank you Muhammed!! Nov 2020 update .... complete exact steps up to 5.16. The 'allow apps that use less secure login' is not there on Yahoo anymore. Instead go to ‘Generate App Password’, (This is the less secure option). Then select Outlook Desktop (Or the alternative you are using) then manually type the generated code instead of your password.

I still have issue, I have done all as in instructions and tried multiple times redo it but still show as follow:

Send test -email message - Failed
Errors
Send test e-mail message: Your server does not support the connection encryption type you have specified. Try changing the encryption method. Contact your mail server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP) for additional assistance.
