I got CLEAR in April, and I’m singularly underwhelmed and disappointed with it, both with the employees and the system in general. In a two week period, I tried to use CLEAR at T5 at JFK (not there yet, SEA (“ambassador” decided talking to her friend was more important than doing her job), SAN (no CLEAR in T1), DFW (again, no CLEAR in Term D), MCO the system cancelled my reservation because I was 3 minutes past my 1415 appointment despite the confirmation email saying I had 20 minutes either side of 1415 to use my appointment. Newark was the only airport where the system worked properly. 1 out of 5 tries…

I think that the secret account itself is the problem. It's fine to have individual assets, but to keep it a secret whilst he is out there working 2 jobs, providing for his family, and it could have reduced their overall hardship is really wrong. By having the secret to protect herself if she were to get a divorce, is the actual act to get her a divorce, is kinda prophetic.

Hyatt has always been my priority. It is significantly more valuable than anything else in its current state. My second choice has always been Hilton. They have a large footprint. A variety of properties. Decent points value. I’m not as big of a fan of Marriott. They have good signups with free nights occasionally but on the whole I don’t value them as much. In short, Hilton would be my option B.

@@thebrandonboydshow I travel all the time for work and the Marriott brands are just better. Hampton Inn tends to be the Hilton brand that is available everywhere and they do not maintain quality versus the Marriott equivalent of AC or Springhill Suites. On the high end though, Hilton does really well and has some great properties.

With the Aa Executive card, if you use the Rental credit (the other two are nonstarters you put it lightly) it’s only an effective Annual Fee increase of $25, which is modest to keep Admirals Club access given the price increases to that.

    • @JonathanDutton

Re The AA Executive card, the other big negative is the increase in the AU cards. From free to $175 for 3, then $175 each. Huge increase there. They used to allow 8 free AU.

Hyatt, it was bound to move to dynamic pricing at some point. Everyone else is. I’m sure they are asking themselves the same question. This is why SO many of them love Hyatt (myself included) so it is worth not changing to dynamic pricing? I guess that math will tell in the long run. Clear, this is a bummer especially because of human error. Human error is unavoidable, I mean TSA is no picnic with their human error so… Excited about this new park, but I’m not convinced that the design of the park is what makes Disney, Disney. It’s the training and the staff that make Disney, Disney, as you are well aware. Secret Bank account…yeah not cool. Especially considering the financial hardships they had.

There are books written on Disney training and marketing. I remember reading them in college. They have a process and way of doing things that can’t be replicated. That’s my understanding at least. Will be interesting to see how it does. Disney has a 100 year start on branding and characters that this park won’t be able to match.
