    Components used in this circuit:
    PIR sensor
    BC547 transistor
    5mm LED
    USB cable

    Question:
    How to connect a 12V LED strip light directly to the sensor without using any resistor or transistor or a relay. The LED strip light will be powered by 12V 5A driver. The setup will be mounted underneath the kitchen platform. The LED strip light should turn ON when the drawer is opened.
    Why are transistor and resistor mandatory? What would happen if remove them and connect LED strip light directly? In case if direct connection, will the strip light get damaged or the pir sensor get damaged? Or neither of these will get damaged and LED strip light won't glow?

      For that you would have to use arduino or any other microcontroller. Otherwise you'd have to stay in motion for it to be on continuously. Also check out the jumper settings section in this article to see if that can help you:

    I just got one question about the circuit, output voltage specifically, it’s 3.3 v, isn’t it?

    • @Srijan22
      @Srijan22  Год назад

      I haven't really checked the voltage at the output pin but i remember that when i connected a LED to it without the transistor it was glowing with very low brightness
      i think that might be because of low voltage or maybe low current at the output pin I'm not really sure but it was enough to activate a npn transistor when connecting the output directly to the base of the transistor

    5V - 5m one chip LED strip + TİP 122 or BC547 transistor or IRF740 (which one do you prefer) + HC-SR501 PIR Sensor + Powerbank (for power supply)
    Thanks for now.

    • @Srijan22
      @Srijan22  2 года назад +2

      measure how much current your LED strip is consuming and search for a NPN Transistor that can handle that much current. After you've found the suitable transistor follow the same circuit diagram shown in the video (emitter to ground, base to signal out)

      If you want to use with LED then use a 300 to 400ohm resistor and if you're using with a buzzer then no need for any resistor. Also no need for any diode :)
