    Thanks good video. Could I hook this up to a 12v horn for an alarm instead of the light ? Would I need anything bigger like the diode or transistor ?

      Yes you can, Input voltage for pir is +5V for typical applications. Can range from 4.5V- 12V

    Hello. This worked great for the LED strip on the stairs. I've had someone message me so they can do the same so thanks for the video and responses. Currently I use a smart plug to tell the strip to only come on at night but if you were to add a light sensor and get rid of the smart plug, how would you wire it?

      If you open that white cover on PIR sensor you can see a connection point marked RL, You can solder a LDR (Light Dependent Resistor) on that to sense motion only at night time.

    Is it safe to use the diode and bc547 with ordinary 220 volt ? Please answer quickly I am doing it right now

      Bc547 and pir sensor must be powered with 5v. You can connect 220v to the relay contact pins.

      You can simply replace the diode and relay with leds

    It's cool, but what is the light for if this light comes on in daylight? Could you figure light to comes on after dusk ?

      Connect two pir sensors in parallel. Vcc to vcc, signal to signal, gnd to gnd.

    Hello. I'm using a 12v led with 12v relay. How do I attach the positive and negative 12v to both the led strip and pir sensor? Thanks

      Connect supply's positive pin to the relay's common pin and connect led's positive to relay's NO (normally open) pin.

      Hello I'm not getting anything from the led strip. It's only 3 leds but is a 1a supply too low? The relay is rated at 10a. Does the negative of the 12v supply go to gnd on the PIR? I'm basically trying to do your setup but without an additional 5v for the PIR but it's throwing me off completely.

      Negative and positive must be connected to the PIR sensor.

      How to connect a 12V LED strip light directly to the sensor without using any resistor or transistor or a relay. The LED strip light will be powered by 12V 5A driver. The setup will be mounted underneath the kitchen platform. The LED strip light should turn ON when the drawer is opened.

    there is no compulsion like where we need to connect the anode and the cathode of the 1n4007 diode to the relay right ???????????

      Diode cathode should be connected to positive.

    While the motion detected, relay on multiple times ...giving a continous sound and the light is on ....can give suggestion for thz trouble shoot

    sir, I did everything as per this video. but my bulb is always turned ON. I checked my PIR and the voltage is coming properly, my relay is in proper connection (NO)... what are the possible problems?

      Adjust you pir sensor delay to minimum.

      You need to check if the voltage on the PIR output switches. Use a multimeter to measure the voltage between OUT and GND.

      Change your pir, make sure you are using npn transistor.

      When the PIR sensor turned on, it will automatically turn on and turn off after 30 sec.

      If you are trying to turn on two motors using one pir sensor. Just connect two motors in parallel

    Why are transistor and resistor mandatory? What would happen if remove them and connect LED strip light directly?

      Can't connect 12v load directly to pir sensor. You need a relay or mosfet.

      @@ElectroRetro What would happen if neither of these are used and the strip light is directly connected. Will the light get damaged or the sensor? Or nothing will be damaged and the LED won't glow?
