The exo's can dream but all of there dreams are the same. They dream of a tower, not the tower but a tower. But all around the tower is everyone they have ever known. They instinctually know that this tower is where they were made. They also instinctually know that they have to kill everyone that have ever known to get to the tower to see its secrets. Nearly no exo's ever make but those who do are legendary. A side note is that the number in an exo's name is the amount of times its memory has been wiped, in there dream that see people from previous memory wipes which is really interesting.

Now I am wondering when they were made most likely when traveler was at its peak. using the travel could they have literally moved said human into exo body like a snake shed skins. Or simply take a copy of memories implant in exo as the actual human dies. were all that's left is a clone that can be manipulated during implant process possibly. any have any thoughts? if human just swapped into a exo body kinda like if a ghost possessed a dead body. Then the traveler must have sided some specific way so that the exo is the person not a clone of now deceased

Here's my problem with Destiny - Bungie did an amazing job creating this lore but did a terrible job actually explaining it. Almost like there was discord amongst the entire team as to how to present the story. We know that there was discord in the team, and that's a shame, because this lore is quite awesome and stupid infighting has ruined it. I sincerely hope that the lack of upcoming content and the rumor that they're focusing on Destiny 2 means that they're going to do a much better job of explaining the lore in-game. Because explaining the story would've made the repetitive missions a lot easier to bare
