Knowing how insightful these guys are and seeing how little Robert got out of them is a big red flag for me. You should do a bit more research on your guests and allow them to elaborate on your questions or maybe pay someone to do so, then you probably would have bought more bitcoin back when it was 6k per coin.

All depends on adoption. El Salvador and other governments have chosen to accept it, but not everyone has. It's an alternative currency / asset which is getting adopted bit by bit.

Robert asked Miguel one way you can get screwed with Bitcoin, then Miguel gave an example where someone already had their Bitcoin disappear from their wallet and they were seeking help from Discord and people in there convince you to give them your password then steal etc... How does the money disappear from the wallet in the first place? It's odd to give an example where your money disappears from your wallet with out an explanation.
With your 12 word password i.e. Seed phrases, they can log into the wallet and move your funds to another wallet they control
No, they had lost access to their BTC not lost the BTC. The scammers pretend they are helping and then once they 'help' you regain access they take all your coins

@@PetixAnthony It was poorly explained in the video, with unaddressed gaps. You can't lose access "for no reason". But scammers can potentially tell you your Bitcoin has been hacked. If they have access to your laptop or application, they might be able to configure the app to LOOK like you have no bitcoin.
But this is reaching. There could be various cases of human error, or simply the person losing their keys (e.g. if their wallet is accessed via their phone and they lose their phone, but also they never kept their keys safe).
Love the education you give to the world Robert . I have been following you for many years but I have to say that you interrupting your guests it's just too much . Please let them express what they are there for for once , otherwise your podcasts are just monologs. Thanks for everything.

How much volatility will occur in your 10 minute Bitcoin transaction? Will your transfer be rejected due to the received value being less than the agreed value of the transfer. Who eats the loss? I am not arrogant like many "maxies" out there, but nobody will wait 10 minutes for a simple retail transaction. What about the people already in line? I just don't understand people's math.
Bitcoin is never that volatile unless if there's an industry-level event occurring. And Bitcoin's lightning network and layer 2 options more than make up for this. You realise that people use these for instant transactions for years now?
Layer 1 (where it takes 10 minutes) allows direct and final settlement, which you may not mind if its an important transaction - or else transferring to your cold wallet. 10 minutes for final settlement certainly sounds quicker than 24 hrs for debit cards.... or even months for credit cards.

You incur capital gains tax when you sell. Cashapp does KYC, so they will just know you own BTC but you have to report when / if you sell it.

CONVERTING to bitcoin is not investing. It’s NOT an asset. You are NOT making money…. If you have a vehicle to make money, and you put your crytpo to work, THEN you COULD be making money.
Robert I love your work but I find your constant interrupting of your guests to be unbearable. Makes it very hard to listen to really interesting and insightful guests.
I think Robert sometimes has to interrupt them when they're losing him. He probably feels like if they're losing him, they're also losing the audience. He constantly interrupts for context to either explain the history of something so people understand it better or because they're losing him. Robert is pretty anal about trying to make everything as comprehendible as possible, so when you're not, he interrupts you to try and help the audience understand. That's my opinion, anyway.
Yeah I definitely agree but I also get it. He wants to keep the video short as possible and going into topics people have a hard time landing the plane and he has certain amount of questions he has to ask as well as how long he stays on that topic. That's just my two cents would love it if they explained more but then it will turn into hours of content when all we gotta do is follow the guests channels to know more. Either the people he brings on intrigues you or doesn't not spending hours to obtain information on said topic.
@@vickbynum9086 The interrupting and steering the conversation might work better in a live in person interview, but on these video call interviews it just destroys the flow and people talk over each other for several seconds before realizing they've been interrupted.
I dont disagree, he could clean it up for sure but man I'm just grateful someone is giving a platform for other phenomenal beings to share their knowledge. At the end of the day, we're the brokies trying to make money and leaning on someone for help. I'm glass half full type of approach; it's not perfect but I'm sure he has a reason for why he conducts his shows the way he does. I'm definitely with you on that after all, I've show other talk show hosts have that issue it's messy. I think their should be a timer acknowledged to guests but it's his show complaining does nothing
