Hacking and lockpicking has always been easy regardless of the difficulty although it's pretty funny that novice terminals are harder to hack than master ones.
I love how I got a Thief based class and have all the lockpick items including armour. Even without the final level of Lockpick perk, I rarely break pins ever. Even Master locks are not that often.
ESV and FO4 lockpicking is pretty easy once you know what you're doing. In skyrim at 45 lockpick or so i usually only break 1 pick per master w/o perks enchantments or mods. I dont play a lot of FO4 but the minigame feels pretty similar.

I have been doing research with what going above ten special does. Strength: no additional carry weight but it does multiply base melee and unarmed damage. Perception: accuracy will continue to improve in vats but it’s capped at 95% Endurance: no more hp but action point consumption will continue to slow while sprinting Charisma: at 16 charisma prices will no longer lower however every point willl continue to add to your settler limit and 11 charisma never fails speech checks. Intelligence: more bonuses to xp gain not very beneficial Agility: action points will keep adding up until you have boosted to 30 agility ( I don’t think that’s possible) in which it is capped however sneak bonuses are not effected any more. Luck: will continue to decrease required hits for a critical but you’ve gotta go pretty high to get good value. 10-12 every five shots 13-18 every 4 shots 19-29 every 3 shots 30-62 every other shot 63+ every shot will crit. Idk if it’s possible to achieve this but that’s the math.
Wasteland Survival Guide doesn't double the meat. It adds 1. So one becomes two. But some animals don't always have meat, like bloodbugs and bloatflies. This will give you you, for example, a bloodbug proboscis and one meat. It doesn't give extra meat from mutant hounds because they are classified as mutants, not animals.

This would really help when making a video like this, cuz I can't tell where you are by that tiny pic. Better yet, you need to show the full-screen map pic by itself as well as using the zoom feature.
Awesome. How you manage to keep this so interesting is beyond me, and that trick with using chems and bobbleheads to boost maxed special stats is fucking brilliant.
Yeah and the bobbleheads can boost you to 11 by default so you can actually hit 12 permanent strength that way. Add in solar powered, scav! Magazine, the bos power armor paint, and buff out and exceed for chems, and you hit a whopping 20 strength.

I always aim.to get them as early as I can which is a hell of a challenge. In FNV and 3 there are a fair few that are an integral party if my early game build. FO4 I'm still trying to work an efficient route for the most needed early game. The double meat drop being an obvious early game survival need and the Corvega repair bottle head for early game where cores are really limited.

I reckon stealth bobblehead and cops mags are way better than explosives buffs since it's only going to be 20% whereas after acquiring all stealth buffs you get a 50% buff
If any of your special stats are already at 10 you do not need to take any kind of chems before you grab the YOUR SPECIAL booklet by Shaun’s crib to get your preferred stat to 11.
As someone who plays survival and makes frequent stops to my base to restock/deposit gear, caps can be put in a chest so if you wanna use scav magazine I recommend putting all caps into a piggy bank chest and pulling them out when you want to buy something. Plus 3 in str is great for carrying more stuff and yeah, a little micromanaging, sure, but in survival, you're making stops to base way more than in normal so it just becomes routine over time
I love the sneak. I'm so good now I'm practically invisible at a full run and my number one weapon is the tooth from Dunwitch Borers. I kill everything when I sneak up with one shot.
Last fallout game I played was 3 when I was a kid. Just got into fallout 4 now and I can’t dislike it. The biggest problem is the dialogue. I think the early games when action and combat was limited, the dialogue was actually like a mini game within the game but in 4 that’s lost. However building settlements and bringing the wasteland to some life was very cool compared to 3
Hard disagree. The dialogue choices effect dignity of companions. You have to try and work out what your companion will like or dislike. There’s an extra layer. You still have the separate factions, but you might want to approach them in a different way, depending on who’s with you.

@@damgaronfire Even if I agreed that’s the dialogue system, you’ve supported my assertion that companion affinity is a big part of the game. Among those choices, companions find agreement and disagreement. Can you guess which ones are liked or hated? It’s not as cut and dried. And that simplicity is often appreciated. Not everyone is crazy about deep RPGs. It is nice to play a jerk character, without derailing quests and relationships. I’m not here to say it’s a wonderful RPG. Compared to the greats, it’s not. But it’s better, if you want a lite version. The companions really solidify the dialogue elements.
I think if people were honest they'd admit that 90% of video game RPGs are as shallow, very few have many really multiple choice scenarios, most additional dialogue options are on behalf of exposition. Which is fine, it's a video game.
The hacking system also gets much easier when ur looking through the symbols first sequences the start with { And end in } like {%&$} do things like reset ur amount of tries and get rid of words that aren't the right one same goes for ( ) [ ] and < >
(10) Repair - not just good for power armor. Also good for Gatling Lasers. For anyone else - worthless. (9) Total Hack 1 - worthless. If you want robots, you can get good ones (and protectrons) with Robotic Expert AND most protectrons already do what you want when you turn them on. Only worth it when you are stealing a Legendary Protectron - and you would be better served with the Perks to steal and shut down others. (8) Science - Redundant (doesn't stack) with Valentine's perk. Only low intelligence characters (who have more false choices) would ever even need the extra choice. (7) Scav 2 - good for knife builds and make the Instigating Blade you get for siding with the Disciples one of the best sneak/blitz melee builds. (6) Lockpick/Tumbler's - these are good convenience items, but nothing incredible once you get good (5) Wasteland 9 - double meat is a must for survival and you can get it super early. Not as needed in Very Hard, but still nice for the XP gains. (4) Sneak/Covert Opts - these are good. With a high agility you can already sneak well, with these AND the perks as well you are VERY hard to find. (3) SPECIAL - too obvious to list. Should have been #1 or a "too obvious to list" choice. Chem debuffs and Survival mode penalties work. Withdrawal does not. (2) Scav 5 - Yes, this is awesome. In Very Hard, just turn all your caps into ammo (if your barter is good .38, Flamer Fuel, Railroad spikes, 5mm, and harpoons are all 1 cap to buy and 1 cap to sell) - or use ammo that you use. In Survival, shipments are a way to turn your caps into a weightless item. Not cap efficient, but useful if you have tons of caps you want to "carry" to a merchant. (1) Explosives/Scav 4 - Yes, these are solid for explosives and legendary explosive weapons (which are among the best). Only Melee and Unarmed builds which don't plan to use explosives won't find these useful. Not a bad list, apart from 6, 8 and 9. Better choices would have included - (1) The Medicine bobblehead (+10% on stims) in non-survival mode or Wasteland #'s 1 and 3 (+50% health from fruits/veggies and +50% health from packaged food) in survival. (2) The Unstoppables magazines (up to 5% invulnerability). (3) Total Hack #3 (control turrets) (4) Astoundingly Awesome Tales #6 (health regeneration) (the one that adds 5% to damage at night is also good). (5) Mass Surgery (up to 20% bonus limb damage) (6) Barter/Tales of a Junktown (+5%/+3% bonus on prices) - especially good on lower Charisma builds that take longer to get to max pricing without using Cap Collector.

No, you cannot drop caps in F4 (you could in previous Fallout games). You can have them in your workshop inventory if you have stores or slot machines in your settlements - but once you pick them up you cannot drop them. That is why you should turn them into ammo or shipments if you are trying to keep the Scav 5 magazine maximized.

I didn't take any of the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. bobbleheads until I got the corresponding stat to 10. I now have a base of 11 on five of my stats. I just need to get agility and luck to 10 each.
8:10 - What pisses me off about the bonus is it doesn't apply to Mutant Hounds. It applies to Feral Dogs, and the like, but Mutant Hounds are exempt, for some reason.
They are not considered "animals" in the game. They are treated as Mutants - this also affects the armor and weapons that care about type (animal/super mutant).
storing caps is fine but it's a bit slower and involves more loading screens when you want to buy something that isn't at a settlement. For example, if i wanted to buy something expensive in diamond city, i'd have to fast travel to the right settlement pick up my caps then fast travel again, fallout 4's loading screens are kinda slow even with a decent ssd so it's a lot faster to just travel straight to diamond city and sell the weightless ammo to buy the required item. Of course, this is only worthwhile when not on survival difficulty because otherwise ammo has weight.

Instead of buying ammo to keep your caps low you can trade it to a companion for safekeeping.. (I think). Better check that with a small amount to be sure. I think you can also just store it at a settlement like anything else.
Survival mode, the wasteland survival mag that lets you swim faster is a huge time saver, along with aquaboy/girl. Lack of fast travel sucks time out of your life and swimming is key.
I cannot emphasize how much I lean on swimming to get through Survival Mode. And this magazine is clutch. I have only ever played Survival, and first run, i did Power Armor. I don’t recall when it sunk on how good swimming was as a time saver. But i know that second play through was no power armor, simply so i could swim. Such a time saver. Plus, when you need to get somewhere safely, it’s also encounter free! So after a quest, or when you get that primo legendary, take a dip. You’ll get to a bed in one piece. There’s even several beds or sleeping bags in boats!
For the scav #5 magazine. Couldn’t you just give your caps to your follower that way youll always have lower than 100 caps an if you need to buy stuff you can just get your caps from your follower. I can’t remember if u can give followers caps I’m f04 but I know you could in nv
I really wish gunners and raiders wouldn't shoot you with fat men at point blank range. There needs to be a sanity check. How big is the blast radius of your weapon? How close is the target you're shooting at? Will you be in the blast radius if you fire? If so, don't shoot. Maybe they could have a side arm in those circumstances.
“Somewhat of a pain to keep your caps low” thats rich ... I always am at 50 caps, most Trading goes tghrough with 38 ammo and purified water, in all my time playing fallout 4 I never had over 5000 caps on me ... for some reason my settlements ( even with a lot of tier 3 merchant stalls ) earn me only 50 caps, no matter how long I let them acumulate .....
Most people have water farms You produce like 200 water Sell the water to the merchans. You can do the same with jet orcatros r crops. Produces about 1,000 caps per week... Your merchants will actually not be able to buy For cash what you have you have to buy goods Instead
Did you know that with the wastelsnd survival guide #9, mirelurk babies give one mirelurk meat. And that makes it so you can easily get meat you can just all eggs hatch and kill the babies and you have the meat
It you don’t wanna try finding all these get cheatroom and go near vault111 and you find a shack called cheat room and explore it and you will find every item I’m pretty sure and also cheat weapons which do like 1shot everything
Picking up a stat bobble head with the stat at 10 raises it to 11 every time. You don't have to do any stupid drug 'exploit' to get it to 11. The drug exploit is to get it permanently above 11.
I should let some of you guys know (if you didn't know already) from what i read as well as my personal experience, Mole Rats are not affected by Wasteland Survival Guide #9. I don't know why, but they are the only one not affected by it. So I would keep that in mind next time you play.
So, do we have to consume or have it in our inventory to get the effect or it's just passive?? Cause it's not showing anywhere in the stats menu as a bonus and the first perception bobble head buff doesn't show a +1 or anything next to my perception skill like other buff do. I don't have the option to consume or anything. Is it passive and just not coded to show anything??

I used manufacturing transport to duplicate it let me increase stats but i dont know if it happen with booblehead or magazine . In that case wabbajack weapon can help with it ?, because it transform to anyone in a random thing or npc in the game .

I’m not here to say it’s a wonderful RPG. Compared to the greats, it’s not. But it’s better, if you want a lite version. The companions really solidify the dialogue elements.
I think if people were honest they'd admit that 90% of video game RPGs are as shallow, very few have many really multiple choice scenarios, most additional dialogue options are on behalf of exposition.

(10) Repair - not just good for power armor. Also good for Gatling Lasers. For anyone else - worthless.
(9) Total Hack 1 - worthless. If you want robots, you can get good ones (and protectrons) with Robotic Expert AND most protectrons already do what you want when you turn them on. Only worth it when you are stealing a Legendary Protectron - and you would be better served with the Perks to steal and shut down others.
(8) Science - Redundant (doesn't stack) with Valentine's perk. Only low intelligence characters (who have more false choices) would ever even need the extra choice.
(7) Scav 2 - good for knife builds and make the Instigating Blade you get for siding with the Disciples one of the best sneak/blitz melee builds.
(6) Lockpick/Tumbler's - these are good convenience items, but nothing incredible once you get good
(5) Wasteland 9 - double meat is a must for survival and you can get it super early. Not as needed in Very Hard, but still nice for the XP gains.
(4) Sneak/Covert Opts - these are good. With a high agility you can already sneak well, with these AND the perks as well you are VERY hard to find.
(3) SPECIAL - too obvious to list. Should have been #1 or a "too obvious to list" choice. Chem debuffs and Survival mode penalties work. Withdrawal does not.
(2) Scav 5 - Yes, this is awesome. In Very Hard, just turn all your caps into ammo (if your barter is good .38, Flamer Fuel, Railroad spikes, 5mm, and harpoons are all 1 cap to buy and 1 cap to sell) - or use ammo that you use. In Survival, shipments are a way to turn your caps into a weightless item. Not cap efficient, but useful if you have tons of caps you want to "carry" to a merchant.
(1) Explosives/Scav 4 - Yes, these are solid for explosives and legendary explosive weapons (which are among the best). Only Melee and Unarmed builds which don't plan to use explosives won't find these useful.
Not a bad list, apart from 6, 8 and 9.
Better choices would have included -
(1) The Medicine bobblehead (+10% on stims) in non-survival mode or Wasteland #'s 1 and 3 (+50% health from fruits/veggies and +50% health from packaged food) in survival.
(2) The Unstoppables magazines (up to 5% invulnerability).
(3) Total Hack #3 (control turrets)
(4) Astoundingly Awesome Tales #6 (health regeneration) (the one that adds 5% to damage at night is also good).
(5) Mass Surgery (up to 20% bonus limb damage)
(6) Barter/Tales of a Junktown (+5%/+3% bonus on prices) - especially good on lower Charisma builds that take longer to get to max pricing without using Cap Collector.

9) It can be useful if you don't have the Robotic's Expert perk. Also, there's the issue of Protectrons turning hostile whenever the player encounters hostile turrets.
8) Yeah, extra hacking attempts aren't needed. Plus, I actually like the hacking minigame more than Lockpicking.
7) I don't do a lot of knife builds, so I couldn't tell you about this one.

5) This one's so convenient that I often get confused in a new game when I don't have as much meat as usual, having forgotten about it.

As for your suggestions...
1) It should be noted that the Medicine bobblehead becomes pointless if one fully invests in the Medic perk.
2) I can understand why it's not on the list, as it is very luck-based, and I'm not talking about the SPECIAL stat.
3) Yeah, this is much more useful than the Protectron one.
4) The health regeneration is too slow to be of much use, especially after investing in the Solar Powered or Ghoulish perks, but it's better than nothing if you don't have those.

No, you cannot drop caps in F4 (you could in previous Fallout games).
You can have them in your workshop inventory if you have stores or slot machines in your settlements - but once you pick them up you cannot drop them.
That is why you should turn them into ammo or shipments if you are trying to keep the Scav 5 magazine maximized.

A silo (from the Greek σιρός - siros, "pit for holding grain") is a structure for storing bulk materials. Silosare used in agriculture to store grain (see grain elevators) or fermented feed known as silage.
I didn't take any of the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. bobbleheads until I got the corresponding stat to 10. I now have a base of 11 on five of my stats. I just need to get agility and luck to 10 each.

8:10 - What pisses me off about the bonus is it doesn't apply to Mutant Hounds. It applies to Feral Dogs, and the like, but Mutant Hounds are exempt, for some reason.
They are not considered "animals" in the game.
They are treated as Mutants - this also affects the armor and weapons that care about type (animal/super mutant).
Imo the magazine at grokis cabin which marks diamond city on your map is amazing for early game

storing caps is fine but it's a bit slower and involves more loading screens when you want to buy something that isn't at a settlement. For example, if i wanted to buy something expensive in diamond city, i'd have to fast travel to the right settlement pick up my caps then fast travel again, fallout 4's loading screens are kinda slow even with a decent ssd so it's a lot faster to just travel straight to diamond city and sell the weightless ammo to buy the required item. Of course, this is only worthwhile when not on survival difficulty because otherwise ammo has weight.

Instead of buying ammo to keep your caps low you can trade it to a companion for safekeeping.. (I think). Better check that with a small amount to be sure. I think you can also just store it at a settlement like anything else.

Survival mode, the wasteland survival mag that lets you swim faster is a huge time saver, along with aquaboy/girl. Lack of fast travel sucks time out of your life and swimming is key.
I cannot emphasize how much I lean on swimming to get through Survival Mode. And this magazine is clutch. I have only ever played Survival, and first run, i did Power Armor. I don’t recall when it sunk on how good swimming was as a time saver. But i know that second play through was no power armor, simply so i could swim. Such a time saver. Plus, when you need to get somewhere safely, it’s also encounter free! So after a quest, or when you get that primo legendary, take a dip. You’ll get to a bed in one piece. There’s even several beds or sleeping bags in boats!

I really wish gunners and raiders wouldn't shoot you with fat men at point blank range. There needs to be a sanity check. How big is the blast radius of your weapon? How close is the target you're shooting at? Will you be in the blast radius if you fire? If so, don't shoot. Maybe they could have a side arm in those circumstances.

“Somewhat of a pain to keep your caps low” thats rich ... I always am at 50 caps, most Trading goes tghrough with 38 ammo and purified water, in all my time playing fallout 4 I never had over 5000 caps on me ... for some reason my settlements ( even with a lot of tier 3 merchant stalls ) earn me only 50 caps, no matter how long I let them acumulate .....

Did you know that with the wastelsnd survival guide #9, mirelurk babies give one mirelurk meat. And that makes it so you can easily get meat you can just all eggs hatch and kill the babies and you have the meat

Picking up a stat bobble head with the stat at 10 raises it to 11 every time. You don't have to do any stupid drug 'exploit' to get it to 11. The drug exploit is to get it permanently above 11.
I should let some of you guys know (if you didn't know already) from what i read as well as my personal experience, Mole Rats are not affected by Wasteland Survival Guide #9. I don't know why, but they are the only one not affected by it. So I would keep that in mind next time you play.

So, do we have to consume or have it in our inventory to get the effect or it's just passive?? Cause it's not showing anywhere in the stats menu as a bonus and the first perception bobble head buff doesn't show a +1 or anything next to my perception skill like other buff do. I don't have the option to consume or anything. Is it passive and just not coded to show anything??

I used manufacturing transport to duplicate it let me increase stats but i dont know if it happen with booblehead or magazine .
In that case wabbajack weapon can help with it ?, because it transform to anyone in a random thing or npc in the game .
The main thing I got from this video is that plasma guns are good and flamers suck.
