This place has been an institution for years. Lots of fantastic dim sum. You know the food is amazing when all you hear in the background is people speaking Cantonese or Mandarin. Seafood noodles and Beef chow fun and a 10 for siu mai - this is very special place indeed.
NIce find! Steve is a natural at guest hosting. He even turned down the chicken feet and beef short ribs when the waitress asked. I'm jealous. My father had to work everyday. It was grandma that took my to restaurants in LA Chinatown. Beef chow fun looks wierd with sesame seeds. Parts of that seafood chow mein looked dryer than the desert.
Hi Danny....the seafood pan fried noodles looked like the bomb...surprised the put in cloud mushrooms and baby bok choy in that dish...the best part is the noodles 😂🙊
Danny, it would be so exciting if you would try all of these beautiful dishes where they were originally created and compare them to the ones we make here in the U.S.
Best place in Vegas for dim sum and most Chinese food. Also more affordable than the Strip. Only downside is the place is usually crowded and parking can be a nightmare.
There's some pretty nice dishes there. The Seafood pan fried noodles looked really good. Yep. I believe that was "muk yee". The wood ears. It was my mom's favorite as well as one of mine.
I used to go here, but now they got the business, they getting so cocky, specially the woman wearing glasses at the front, I don’t care how good their BBQ, I’m not gonna let them treated me like I’m working for them. NEVER GO BACK
So asian of you..ordering the more expensive thing over something that for sure is good although cheaper....😂😂😂 ..that's what my grandma does - buffet ..is all crab legs 😂😂😂😂
Danny, I agree with Steve that I learned new places to eat in Vegas because of your videos. You are correct on the name of the fungus…it’s very delicious.
Do they take reservations here? The finger tap..my grandma told me when royalty used to go into the community and they would drink tea poured for them, finger tap signified thank you so as not to give away who they were.
i took a bus from the strip too on a very hot day and went to hong kong garden seafood instead. i passed by new asian bbq after the meal and regret not going there but it was my last day in vegas. hk garden seafood was good though and the bok tong gau was the best i've had since i was a kid. only wished i ordered two plates of it.
Bravo! This was a wonderful video to watch. The commentary from both you and viewer Steve were great and so honest. It was clear when you thoroughly enjoyed a dish, and equally as clear when you thought some dishes were not as good as they could have been. Over all, it looked like the two of you had a pretty good meal, were basically in agreement on your opinions and also enjoyed one another's company. How funny that the restaurant seemed to clear out once you started your video. I wonder why that is? Perhaps they were shy? Perhaps they had simply finished their meal? Oh well, there loss ... they missed out on their opportunity to see the great DTM doing another amazing Food and Travel video, live and in person!!! I would have ordered more dishes just to be able to stay and watch that process! Thanx for another wonderful review (and ordering recommendations), as well as the great video. Honest & fun too! 😊
So, you didn't try the BBQ at the New Asian BBQ. Interesting. To me that's like going to a steak house and ordering fish or going to a sushi bar and ordering teppanyaki. Maybe next time you go there you could order the BBQ 3 combo platter. Thanks for the review. I like your style and the precision with which you evaluate each item. You are very entertaining. 😆
You missed the best part about this place... the Chinese BBQ. The Roast Pork belly and their duck. The best of any place I have ever had, including NYC. I get it every time I come to Vegas either from this place or from their original restaurant on Jones Blvd, up the street.... But I agree, their chow Fun is not that great.....can't believe Hop Sing is now gone, has been there like you said, for decades, Went there a lot when I was a kid growing up.
I totally agree with you about the BBQ with the pork belly and duck. I told Danny about it and even drove him to see the original place. There's only so much we can eat in one trip.😂
@@dannythemedic It;s def not any part of a Chicken. It could be a Cloud Ear, true. I don;t like chicken feet either Taste like rubber.but very chickeny rubber😄
I have alotta videos, I know you cant watch them all looking for the good bcf.. here is one example of a good one ruclips.net/video/CeP6XlnvxmA/видео.htmlsi=VLlrtDyRd9LkoWIm

Good food = rude Chinese workers 😂
Definitely the go to place for dim sum takeouts on special occasions like mother's day or Thanksgiving

Steve is a much more courteous eater then Tung. He puts food on your plate while you are doing the commentary 😂
And he doesn't spit chicken feet. He's nice to watch and has something to say.
Steve Great Job helping Danny. Your manners were great.
No to chicken feet.. nice to see a fellow new yorker...hi Steve..great guest Danny

I like this viewer that ate with you the best!
Seafood pan-fried noodles look wonderful. What type of noodles are used to make?
Hop Shing. I remember that place when I used to live in NJ in the late 1970s.Sorry to hear that it has closed.
Dear Danny, is it possible to make a tutorial video with a one pair of spoons that allows us to get beef chow fun. Your skills is impressive.
I will add that to my list: dtm5
my husband grew up in NY, all he ever talked about was Hop Singh. He compared everywhere else we went to!!!
hop shing was the BEST im telling you!
Your sound effects crack me up.
Beef noodles is my favorite...love u !
All of the food that you tried looked really good. Bean sprouts? Your body is going to revolt with your consumption of veggies.
😂😅😊
Keeping it real 💯
Hey Steve! 🤗
Hey Mr medic. How bout a guitar hobby vid
Operating on a plate
Fish straight from the table top - 8.5 guys!!!
What happened to your girlfriend microphone holder?? Did she quit...lol
Bean sprouts are🤮🤮🤮🤮
that solor panal on your head dont help
Did not know of your channel this far back but you mentioned this video in your recent one at the Coronado Cafe. Thx for the review.
New sub here, your commentary is hilarious lmao and I’m actually going this morning at 10 with my grandma!
Thanks for subbing! hope grand ma enjoy

I love this video! You both were great! We’ve been there, that was a great recommendation from Steve. Steve’s a great guest host as well!
Holy shit! Danny’s pure joy at 1:05 when Steve said that they eat at the same New York joints is the most wholesome thing I’ve seen in ages.
its food and travel! LOL
Your friend Steve sure was hungry. He went through the Beef Chow Fun and Seafood Chow Mein like a machine.
Oh so this is the first Steve video you mentioned. Cool.
Love love love that hat on you😊
thank u
Steve! So nice to see you join Danny !
First time I heard you give 10, wow!
I have to try it😊😋
watch my past vids, i said 10 plenty of times!!!
There's some pretty nice dishes there. The Seafood pan fried noodles looked really good. Yep. I believe that was "muk yee". The wood ears. It was my mom's favorite as well as one of mine.
Talking of NY China Town, I loved the Year of the Dragon 1985 with John Lone and Mickey Rourke. Amazing times.
the eating with viewers thing is genius - gg my man
You gave the shu mei (spelled wrong) a 10???? Oh now I need to try this place👍👍
I used to go here, but now they got the business, they getting so cocky, specially the woman wearing glasses at the front, I don’t care how good their BBQ, I’m not gonna let them treated me like I’m working for them. NEVER GO BACK
Wow... definitely must try this place...😊😊
So asian of you..ordering the more expensive thing over something that for sure is good although cheaper....😂😂😂 ..that's what my grandma does - buffet ..is all crab legs 😂😂😂😂
Steve doing his best tung impression, just eating away and ignoring your jokes
Binge watching videos...Now I know how Danny and Steve meet...🤗🤗🤗
I dont do dim sum anymore....prices are outrageous....$8 to $10 per dish
It is such a rip-off at those ridiculously high prices
Good episode. Steve was a good dining friend.
It looks really good. Your guest Steve was a nice addition to the video.
Great place i have had some real good food from them. The roast duck is good also
Good food & good talk...good company! And comedy! 😁👏🏼💯
Danny, I agree with Steve that I learned new places to eat in Vegas because of your videos. You are correct on the name of the fungus…it’s very delicious.
Right on!
Do they take reservations here? The finger tap..my grandma told me when royalty used to go into the community and they would drink tea poured for them, finger tap signified thank you so as not to give away who they were.
I don’t know! All I know is that they have a number system like a DMV
Hop shing was my favorite too. Especially the baked roast pork buns. Used to buy 2 dozen and freeze them .
Enjoyed hungry guest star and seeing a 10 on the video.
Next time when I'm in Vegas, the same orders as this Danny's video. To me, Vegas dim sum never past 7 mark.
I believe the fungus is cloud ear and not wood ear. Wood ear is thicker and bigger (food and travel, guys).
Steve! Now he’s an icon 😊
You guys talk like 2 robots = no emotion
Danny, enjoy your honest judgement on the food . Hope you in SF area for food critic
"My wife and I enjoy your video"
Looked good. My brother likes this place. He said he will take me next time we go to Vegas 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Steve was excellent in the video. I would like to see him join you more often. Would add to your audience to have him speak some Chinese.
🍂🍁🍂
Ha ha ha, "Beef Chow Fun" and then thunderclap.
Hop Shing has been our go to for 4 generations. From my grandfather, to my dad then me bringing my kid when he was younger. Miss that place
me too! I wish they didnt close
It's cloud ear.
hey DTM, i dont see the menu that u said you were putting in the link, anyways, hows the prices there? reasonable i hope
its reasonable!
When Steve asked if you wanted to try chicken feet you shook your head like Jerry Seinfeld did in "The Pie": ruclips.net/video/f27Yzpz7cMg/видео.html
Pass on the GMO rice and grain fed beef chicken. If wild caught fish would order. Mystery rubber😂
Love Steve but where's Tung ?
you gotta watch ALL my videos! :) tung is in nyc
That was "teenager" Bok Choy
😅
Always nice when you have Steve dining with you! You actually have out a 10 wow! Everything looks good and nice portions
You should come to LA Chinatown for some OG dim sum place & restaurants.
The video was comical in the beginning..Hopsing mentioned on the show Seinfeld..

He can eat!
Sanfracico China Town has some good restaurants als6😊
Yummy
You should have tried their Roast Duck!!! It's amazing.
That 10 for shu-mai is the highest rating that I have ever seen you give!

I will add it to my list. also the OLD asian BBQ too... dtm5
last time i was there for dinner about 2 years ago, we ordered the deep fried intestines and intestines with sour veggies . its was pretty dang good.
Please do Schezwan dishes in the next video...

hi danny and steve!
I lo ve wood fungus esp in my hot and sour soup
Thank you for sharing
You should invest in a solar fan to attach to your hat
Need to bring your friend Tung to Tan Tung Ky
He retired same as I did. Looks like china town in spring mountain road. Enjoy the food enjoy your video.😊
Cool, thanks
It's Vegas Baby!!!! Whoooooooaaaaaa..
Steve is a good substitute for Tung.
"8,5 for whatever that is" That is Wood Ear Fungus . It is normally used in my Hot and Sour Soup or sometimes served on its own in hot chili oil.
someone else said it could be cloud ear.... IDC as long as its not chicken ears.
@@dannythemedic It;s def not any part of a Chicken. It could be a Cloud Ear, true. I don;t like chicken feet either Taste like rubber.but very chickeny rubber😄
TUNG misses out on a free meal
ty for the review nice of steve to join yu
Man... all your Beef Chow Fun experiences have been subpar. When it's done right, this dish is perfect.
you mean "all" that you have seen so far, there are great BCF in my videos too
