I remember being taught the rolling technique in Chanel classes 27 years ago! I worked the Chanel/Dior counter while I doing my apprenticeship in Architecture. I loved architecture, but I knew I’d made a 5 year mistake by getting my degree in such a specialized field when I was more excited to get to part-time job selling (and playing with) makeup. Everything worked exactly the way God intended and I’m very happy. Thank you for reviewing the new brushes with such honesty. I’ve always wished brands would keep their old top sellers when they launch a new product line. The double ended brushes are interesting, but I really prefer the Chanel I already own. (Especially the powder brush.) To answer your question; I actually still own and use several brushes that I’ve had for over 25 years.....you’re 100% correct about taking good care of them-it also helps to start off with good quality tools in the first place. (That notion was probably implied.) So sorry for the rambling..... Have a fantastic weekend! 💗
Omg thank you for sharing! You have such a cool story... I can see how makeup and architecture sort of go hand in hand! You need creativity and proportions in both. I’m a firm believe in investing in brushes, that way you don’t spend more money in the long run. Thank you again so much, I hope you have a great weekend as well!
The retractable eyeshadow brushes are genius! I don’t feel obnoxious if I need to pull something out in public to smooth out my under eye, I used to use a q tip but these babies look so sophisticated! 🌷Love your review! 💞💄🙏🏼💋
When I asked Chanel they recommend washing makeup brushes at least every two weeks if you start to see that there is any makeup visible on the brush. As for the steps to clean your makeup brushes please see the steps below. 1-Wet the bristles with lukewarm water. 2-Place a drop of a gentle cleanser into the palm of your clean hand. 3-Gently massage the tips of the bristles in your palm. 4-Rinse the bristles thoroughly. 5-Squeeze out the excess moisture with a clean towel. 6-Re-form the brush head back into its original shape. 7-Let the brush dry with its bristles hanging off the edge of a counter, which allows it to dry in the correct shape. Never let your brushes dry on a towel - the bristles can turn mildew.
Thank you for watching! I know brush videos aren’t always the most exciting lol but I’m such a makeup brush nerd I was really excited to film this! Im glad you found it helpful! 😂🙏🏻🙏🏻
The #1 powder brush (big round one) is awesome for powder blush!! I love it so much I have 3 of them now. One for powder foundation, one for bronzer and one for blush! You practically don't need any other brushes to do your face. LOL.
I love this video! I have been eyeing the new collection and I wanted to ask you... what brushes do you recommend for the Chanel tan de soleil bronzer? And Also for the Chanel CC cream complete correction sunscreen broad ?😊
I’m so glad you liked it! I really like using a kabuki brush for the cream bronzer... you could use any of the foundation brushes! The cc cream can be applied with fingers or a duo fiber brush. They’re actually reformulating the CC cream! It hasn’t been available at my counter for awhile 😭😭😭 I love it!
Not sure if you guys cares but if you're bored like me atm you can watch all the latest movies on Instaflixxer. Been binge watching with my brother for the last few months xD
I bought the white bristle kabuki brush from les beige maybe 4 years ago and now since I do no5 use it anymore can you give me suggestions what I can use this retractable brush for? It is not a short full brush head so it is somewhat flexible .thank you
I am looking for travel brushes but I have no idea when we can next travel! 😂 If I didn’t laugh, I’d cry. I wish they had made all of these retractable and introduced them as a travel range. Chanel are stopping my local chemist from selling online in the next few days. We can still buy in store but we are currently in strict lockdown in Melbourne, Australia so this is a rubbish time for Chanel to play hardball - but I want to support my small, local chemist as the staff are so lovely. I wanted to make sure the retractable ones were truly retractable as going by some reviews, I think people just pop the cap on and so the bristles splay.
Hey Erin, I've noticed that the brushes are slowly disappearing from Chanel website, do you know if they are discontinuing them, and if they are, are they already coming out with a new range of brushes ?
what's the difference between the old stippling skunk brush than the new one other than color? How does the density compare and how does the application differ?
Loved thus video Erin. I want the beginner 😍 2 sided brush ($42). I’ll text you tomorrow. Oops just realized you linked it below. I’ll order thru link.
Very nice review. I'm a big fan of your professional advice and I'm learning a lot. Regardless blush brush which one would you recommend as mine is too old? By the way, I love your ring, so elegant and classy. I particularly appreciate the fact that you take some time to respond to each of the comments you receive. Thank you!
Thank you so much for watching and for your sweet words! I really do love the Chanel blush brush, it's perfect on the apples of the cheeks and can be used to contour as well. The new brush is the same as the old shape :) xx
I forgot to ask you whether you prefer the Duo Fiber brush from Sigma or the blush brush from Chanel. Thank you! I really enjoy each of your video, so informative and professional!
I really like the Chanel brush and would choose that one if I had to.... the Sigma brush is nice for liquid blush, creams and powders so it's a little more versatile but I prefer the shape of the Chanel for powder products :) I hope that helps! xx
What a great review. Thank you so much. I own two Chanel brushes.. a gold tip foundation brush and then a special edition brush that came out with a pink shimmer powder..This brush is black with gold tip and the brush head is actually magenta pink feathers. It is over 20 years old and still as beautiful today as it was when I bought it. I don't remember exactly what year it was...:-)
So glad I have the duo fiber brush!! Can’t believe they’re not making it anymore. Most of my brushes are the silver tops from Chanel with the matte handle, but I also have a couple of the new ones and I love how soft the new ones are!! Thank you for this great review!!!
Yes, I mentioned that in the video but it's not the same. I've used it on clients and I personally don't like it as much. The original duo fibre was wonderful. The new brush doesn't work the same way... it's still nice to go over foundation, but I wouldn't use it for initial application.
I love Chanel brushes😍they put makeup for me🙃 When I finished collection of "old" brushes, NEXT DAY they present new 🤦🏻♀️ Thank you for review🙏🏻❤️I'm planning to get them too

That’s a great idea! I love that they’re retractable! Such great quality too xx
have all my chanel brushes since the beginning of Time. 76 years young. Love sublimage products. Never have considered any other line ❤️

I was really getting into Fude until I started getting irritation from using it whilst on Tretinoin. Do these perform just as well as natural hair?
Hi please can you say which brush better Chanel or Dior ? What is your opinion?
Nice in depth review of all the brushes 💋💄💋
Thank you for watching Dianne! I really like the new brushes! xx
More chanel makeup review pls ❤️
Thank you for watching! I have some new videos coming up but is there anything in particular you want to see reviewed?! xx

Not sure if you guys cares but if you're bored like me atm you can watch all the latest movies on Instaflixxer. Been binge watching with my brother for the last few months xD
@Nico Liam Yup, I have been watching on Instaflixxer for since november myself :)

I think I know the one! I have it too, it’s very soft... best for pressed or loose powders. I’ll use it in a tutorial soon! Xx
Erin Nicole TV that would be great thank you again.
I own a few of these and boy are they good quality! Leave it to Chanel to do it right 👌😄. Xoxo 😘 Deb
Very true!!! I need to purchase some for my collection! Xx
Chanel is The Best

The new black contour brush does it consist of natural or synthetic hair bristles? Do you have any lose bristles during clearing it?
This video was so helpful, and so different from any videos out there. Thank you for the great work!
I’m so glad you found it helpful! Xx
what's the difference between the old stippling skunk brush than the new one other than color? How does the density compare and how does the application differ?
hi! what brush would you recommend for a bronzer? do you think the precision brush is a good one to get? thank you!
What lip product and color are you wearing?? Thanks!
I love how you create a sort white/light little line right above your eyeliner. Can you learn me/us how you do that? You look so stunning!
Thank you for this detailed review!!
Thank you for watching! xx
Hi ! We're the old brushes natural bristles and new synthetic ?
Queen!!!!
Love you ❤️
Loved thus video Erin. I want the beginner 😍 2 sided brush ($42). I’ll text you tomorrow. Oops just realized you linked it below. I’ll order thru link.
That’s perfect! Thank you so much for watching, I know you’re going to love that brush! 😘😘
My Chanel brushes are from 2001. :) I like the duo brushes, they are good quality.
That's really incredible! They will definitely last if you take care of them! xx
Which CHANEL brush would I buy for the CHANEL bronzer? Thanks.
The cream bronzer? None of them! I would actually recommend either the Bobbi Brown foundation brush or the BareMinerals foundation kabuki brush :) xx

A flat and a fluffy. Hey! You stole my words!
I forgot to ask you whether you prefer the Duo Fiber brush from Sigma or the blush brush from Chanel. Thank you! I really enjoy each of your video, so informative and professional!
I really like the Chanel brush and would choose that one if I had to.... the Sigma brush is nice for liquid blush, creams and powders so it's a little more versatile but I prefer the shape of the Chanel for powder products :) I hope that helps! xx
This is first time i saw brush review from Chanel. I love your lipstick shade. May i know the details? Thank you Erin xoxo
Thank you so much for watching! The lipstick is Charlotte Tilbury 'Bond Girl' xx
What a great review. Thank you so much. The new brushes are great! I love the duo fiber though... I’m not sure why they changed it?! Xx
Why? I saw on USA website duo fiber brush in new design(its call foundation blender)😍totally black
Can't wait to get it🙃
Yes, I mentioned that in the video but it's not the same. I've used it on clients and I personally don't like it as much. The original duo fibre was wonderful. The new brush doesn't work the same way... it's still nice to go over foundation, but I wouldn't use it for initial application.
