Hello Teacher, I'm a new fan here🤗 and planning to go South korea to teach English language, so wish me luck please🥰🙏 I'm from Philippines🇵🇭 by the way🥰
Hi Mikki, how long before you apply? Can you start getting all your documents ready? I know some places don't accept documents that are not older than 4 months, etc. Thank you for the informative video.
Hey Mikki😊, this was so helpful thank you... My question is around accommodation, how does that work? And how much would one need to sustain themselves until they get paid?
Hey. I’m so sorry for the late response. I didn’t see this comment 😫 But on to your question. You get accommodation as soon as you land in Korea. Your school takes care of that. I would say at minimum you would need R7000 to sustain yourself before your first pay. You can do with less than that but I wouldn’t advise it since you won’t know much about price comparisons and all that.
Your document(degree) is automatically sent to the brooklyn postnet, so it's definitely easier to courier your pcc there as well, and have the courier both to durco for you...
Thanks for the video, very helpful! Did you have to know decent korean when you applied or can you get away with not knowing any? Do they teach you when you get there?
Hey Mikki I really liked your explanation it made things easier .Next year I will be doing my third year and I'll be done with my degree and I think south Korea is a great opportunity.I'm looking forward booking an appointment at the embassy.I am not south Africa but I immigrated here a decade ago,do you think I'll be qualify for the visa?
If you do not hold a South African passport you do not qualify unfortunately. Only a few countries qualify to teach in Korea and China . I think 7 countries (not more than 30 countries)are highly considered to teach in Korea and South Africa is the only African country regarded maybe 1 or 2 more I am not too sure.
Yes, you have to have the document that proves you've been residing here for at least 2 years, you can do more research on that... then everything else is pretty much the same...

Hi Mikki! Thank you for this detailed video😊 Can I ask... I have a Diploma in Marketing and I'm currently studying a BCom in Logistics. If I obtain the TEFL certificate will I be able to teach online or even internationally? Or a degree is a standard requirement?
Okay I’ll answer you the best of knowledge. Firstly, if you have a diploma, it must be an advance one. Even if you’re currently studying Bcom, it must be an advanced diploma or degree. And yes, you can teach online with those qualifications. Good luck and sorry for the late response, I didn’t see this comment. ✨
