Finding Christ in the Altar of Incense

- The golden altar of incense was placed before the veil of the Tabernacle of Moses. Every morning and evening the priest burned incense there, offering prayers on behalf of all Israel. Through the symbolism of this sacred altar, we can learn of the powerful connection between the power of prayer and the Savior’s suffering and sacrifice.
This video is the sixth of eight videos that will help followers of Christ better understand the importance of the Tabernacle and how it relates to the Savior. The video includes 3D models of the Tabernacle (the Mishkan) to help visually show this ancient sanctuary like never before, bringing you closer to Christ.

What a blessing to see this amazingly, demonstrated informative narrative. As the incense was burned with fire from the altar of burnt offering, our prayers must be kindled with heaven’s grace. This video came at a good time for me today. I'm praying and fasting off caffeine because my life is empty and so trying. Even though I know my master is with me and won't forsake me, I have come to a place where I don't know what to do anymore, I've hit a blank place. I've been so lowly, I hate to admit it but caffeine is the only thing I look forward to each day. I know that can't be good. He would offer the lamb as a burnt sacrificial offering otherwise known as a Holocaust.
In the temple (Ezekiel 40), the North gates(1), East gate+Sacrifice(2), South gate(3) and Temple(4) are represented in the Tabernacle by the Table(1), Door(2.A)+High priest(2.B), Menorah(3) and Ark of the Covenant(4).
Respectively, each symbolizing The Father(1), The Son God(2.A) + The Word made flesh(2.B), the Holy Spirit(3), and the Trinity itself(4).
Within the Ark of the Covenant(4) are represented:
the Father (whose law was broken by man - Adam [Deut 9.17] , and restored also by man, the Rock among Men - Jesus [Deut 10.1-2]) in the Tables of the Law(1),
the Son (living bread that came down from heaven) in the Manna(2),
and the Holy Spirit (Seven Spirits of the Presence of God who burn before the Throne, whose arms are flowers in the Menorah) in Aaron's Rod(3)[Numbers 8.4].
The two natures of Christ, Divine(A) and human (B), are also represented [Ezekiel 9.3] in the interior decoration of the temple of Ezekiel [Ezekiel 41.19], in the Cherub with the face of a lion(2.A) and the face of a man (2.B), that is, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, worthy to look at and open the seals (2.A), and the Incarnate Word, the child born to us (2.B).
Daniel 12.4-9 envisions this scenario: the one who sits on the waters (the same ones that come out of the right side of the temple, on which he sat, and flow through the temple court) is Jesus (from where he started in John 19.34) , who swears by him who lives forever - God, for he is God (Matthew 5.32-36). The other two seen on either side are the Father and the Holy Spirit. These are the Ark of the Covenant seen in Revelation.
Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

It really annoys me when they make the Ark of the Covenant wrong people the staves are on the bottom Exodus 25:26 And thou shalt make for it four rings of gold, and put the rings in the four corners that are on the four feet thereof, do you have feet halfway up your body??
And the staves are pulled along to go out under the curtain therefore the poles are on the short side on the bottom 1 Kings 8:8 And they drew out the staves, that the ends of the staves were seen out in the holy place before the oracle, and they were not seen without: and there they are unto this day...
And also I don't know of any two winged angels in heaven these are not cherubims,??

Question, Why did Isreal sacrificed a lamb resently if we no longer have to use the blood of a lamb anymore ?
Jews still believe in animal sacrifices as they don’t believe Jesus was the Messiah. So some still hope to rebuild the temple so they can offer sacrifices again.
I have yet to find a good answer to the question as to why the LDS temples do not at all look like what is described in this video (especially through the lack of incense) even though they are supposed to be restorations
Actually, we never claim them to be a restoration of ancient temples. We believe that animal sacrifice was done away with the death of Jesus. I’d say it’s similar to the connection between Passover and Communion. The two are directly related, Communion being from the Last Supper which was a Passover meal. As you understand the one, you more understand the second. And they are very connected. But they are not the same. Jesus brought the greater law, and that is what we have in temples today.
@@messagesofChrist The animal sacrifice part is correct yes but even simple things like the incense isn't used when incense was of massive symbolic importantce and remains so for many christians. "Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice"
That would be highly biblical and congruent with former practices that weren't done away with in Christ. It would make more sense to me if the LDS temple was influenced more by those things than by for example freemasonry with its emphasis on the esoteric (secret signs etc). But that isn't the case.
So on the one hand the LDS church asserts that the need for hundreds of temples (when in former times God only ever allowed one) is somehow congruent with scripture but then on the other hand all these Jerusalem temple practices described in scripture are somehow redundant now. I find this to be a strange juxtaposition.
@Belg there was only a need for one Temple in that area, today as there are tens of millions of members all around the world, there's a need of more Temples.

@@Bellg There are many connections between ancient and Latter-day Saint temples. We don't burn incense, but prayers are offered before the veil of the temple just as in ancient times. So I'm not sure I see the issue. The significant part of the incense was that it represented prayers, not that it was incense. As for your claim that freemasonry had more of an influence, you might want to study more about both. I have done extensive research on the subject, and there is a recent book that was just published by a friend of mine that goes into great detail. He found that almost all of the connections to freemasonry, actually have earlier roots in ancient Jewish or Christian traditions. Meaning, that the similarities are closer to ancient Jewish and Christian practices than to freemasonry. (The book is called Freemasonry and the Origins of Latter-Day Saint Temple Ordinances). And as for claiming that God only allowed for one temple, this is just not supported by modern research and archeology. During the Old Testament time period there were many other temples dedicated to Jehovah outside of Jerusalem. These include temples discovered at Shiloh, Dan, Bethel, Gilgal, Mizpah, Hebron, Bethlehem, Nob, Ephraim, Ophrah, and Gibeah.

I don’t understand how can God permit to kill an innocent being as a sacrifice. This is something I will never understand. There is no need to kill anything to prove innocence. It’s absolute nonsense. What kind of God asks another to take a knife a slit an innocent lambs throat? This is something I will never ever respect.

Why do you think God owes you understanding?
People, are supposed to feel bad, that the innocent animal had to die because of their evil acts, that they were commanded not to do, but they kept on doing it anyway!!!
Then when they wore out the burning of incense and the animal sacrifices the Father, sent His Innocent Son Jesus, Who many still disrespect that sacrifice as well.
It all makes sense, when studying the Bible more, like everyday.
