So the snare is one velocity up and other lower to give that roll effect?
You can do that. But the notes have to overlap. So you put two notes on top of each other in the piano roll then you can turn the velocity up or down. But you want the flam effect first.

Nope. I time stretch in the FL Slicer, it has a TS (time stretch) knob. And I use either Sakura (FL Studio stock plugin) or Kontakt Scarbee bass. Thanks for watching man. 💯

how do you setup your pads like that ? I have the mpd218 and i cant hook it up
I use the fruity slice which allows me to have my chops on different pads. As far as the drums, there is a way in the midi settings to set the pads to be assigned to the different channels in the step sequencer.

I use Native Instruments Kontakt, they have an expansion called “Scarbee Bass” or I use Sakura, it comes with FL Studio. 💯
how you chopped the samples and made it work with you midi keyboard?
I used Fruity Slicer, when it chops the loop you can have as many chops as you would like. And it is assigned across your keys automatically. Will even work with your typing keyboard.

play the bass line octaves higher so you can hear if its in key
