    While we don't use this awning every time we go out, we're really glad to have it when we need shade or rain cover. What awning to you use and why???

    I have the 270 LT from OVS and just used it for the first time on the trail. Did a 12 day trip through the San Juan's in CO and used it everyday at camp. Lots of coverage easy setup and tear down. It rained everyday and all the guy lines made it easy for it to shed the rain!
    Northridge 4x4 was way cheaper than the OVS site and was delivered in two days. This was 3 weeks ago.

      Thanks for sharing. When we bought ours, it was back ordered everywhere including Northridge and OVS for 4-5 weeks, which is why we would up buying it used. Nice to hear the inventory issue is better now. Sounds like an awesome trip!!! Did you use the extra support legs in the rain??

      Are you happy with the 270 LT? I’m considering the 270 or 270 LT- not sure if the 50% price increase (with walls) is worth it to get the 270. Are you happy with the 270 LT? Does it provide enough shade?

    I too have zipped the fabric up and now when I get to the tight spot in the center I put my finger on the top side of the zipper in between it and the fabric as I zip that area. That and it didn't look like you fold the bottom front end of the awning if you fold a triangle once towards the top before rolling it they tarp is distributed out better and not as tight.

    I have the OVS 270 LTE on the drivers side and the OVS 180 LTE on my passenger side, yes I have to pull down on the 270 a liftle bit to get the 180 over it, then just attach the rope to loops on the 270, and you talking about a lot of shade

      @Venture2Roam  3 года назад

      Thanks Gee! I'm still pining for a 270, even though the 180 is really great. We have the Rhino Rack platform, which is pretty low profile and still let's up take the top off the Jeep just as easy as before we had it...but did have to drill through my roof 😳.

    • @GeefromBC
      @GeefromBC 3 года назад

      @@Venture2Roam Yeah I mean if the 180 is doing it’s job then the 270 can wait unless a company sponsors you one 😉. Yeah I was thinking of getting the same rack setup where it allows for the driver/passenger roof can be taken off. @@GeefromBC Ya man with our Rhino Rack, the freedom panels come off easy as well as taking the whole thing off. Works just like before, which is hard to come by in a rack. @@Venture2Roam We have 5th Gen 4Runner. We are nervous the 180 LTE would be too shallow/small for 4 people with a mediums size camp table and some chairs, but also worried about amount of shade we would get with the smaller one.
