  • This video outlines the steps we take, to setup and put away the Overland Vehicle system 270-degree awning.
The awning setup on the Arkto Campers G12 provides a massive amount of coverage for your living space outside. In particular, it gives full coverage of the slide out kitchen.

Alright so right now im respectively giving you 2 middle fingers for being able to fold that away so fast. When i try your method tomorrow and it works i shall change that to 2 fist bumps and hugs

Hahahaha. Great comment. Even better method, that I figured out, is to fold up the forward/right side straight up, not up and to the right. It alleviates a bit of tension on that forward velcro strap.

OMG... dude... you are the ONLY video that shows how to fold this thing up properly! Normally when I fold this thing up it ends up being a fat worm with all the material in the middle and its such a struggle to get it zipped (I'm surprised the zippers haven't popped off!).

Haha, yeah, when it bunches in the middle it's a real pain. Happy that it helped you out!

Ah, the rolling up towards the corners… I missed that technique and ended up with a bulge in the middle & a very tight zipper. Thank you!!!

I have been fighting mine for 6 months. I have an Imperial Outdoors X 195. The awning is about 8 feet from the ground and I am 74 and 70 inches tall. It is a lot easier when your feet are on the ground. I use a 60 inch ladder to work from and falling is not an option at my age. Thank you for the best video on how to pack the awning I have found so far.

I had to put 3" straps on the outside to secure everything. Those short factory straps are nuts. Looking forward to next trip so I can put it away correctly. There is a technique to it. You showed the simplest way.

Hopefully it works out for you! I started using a slight modification to the 'fold up' technique. And that's when folding up the forward/right side, instead of going up and to the right, just fold straight up on that side, and then continue up and left on the left side. The result is that the fabric isn't at its thickest right under the strap, it's thickest just to the left of the strap, making it slightly easier to tighten that first strap. Good luck!

@@arktocampers I just got back from storage and tried it this way. 100 times better. However, the black receiving strap on the right was just not long enough. Besides the 3" straps i use on the outside of the bag, I use a 1" strap in the hole/opening for the receiving strap. I use my 1" straps to take up the tension , THEN attempt the receiving strap. Next trip out Ill try the folding method instead of the roll to the outside method.
