In 2015, he began working with singing bowls to enhance his meditation practice. Since that time, Barlow has developed his own personal “sadhana” using singing bowls and they have had a profound effect on his spiritual journey. Matthew continues to use them in his daily practice to this day.

The purpose of any meditation music or sounds or mantra is to take the mind away from the material dimension. Train your mind to do that without external assistance. Lawrenc Jacobson has an excellent talk aout being in mind or being in the present moment. Mind is where we grind out the past and future which do not exist. Only now exists and that now I mentioned is now gone.
Joe for a fellow Italian , I'm surprised , you're deep. Most Italians I know are shallow materialists.

Yeah, neighbor at that time had a rooster so it couldn't help being picked up on the mic I was using to record lol 😅
I love sound of singing bowls but when I heard this my mind became blank, I couldn´t focus, stopped moving and didn´t even blink. So I can´t have it as background music for reading :D Maybe I´ll use it next time I´m mad, maybe that way mind will forget it´s even angry :D :D
