Not after what happened in Gaza.

Timeless classic. This song will live on forever.

Kybele Kordax and also the meaning of it awful, thank you Ofra Haza 🙏 😊
I could listen to this every day of the week for the rest of my life and never get tired of it.... Ofra Haza will live on in her music forever, and yes it is so sad that she died way too young but she has left us with a beautiful legacy of her music and her soul... She truly was a beautiful person inside and out and long live her memory and her music ...
When she was still with us, Ofra's music was just as popular with the Palestinian people as it was with the Jewish because she sang in both Arabic and Hebrew. I'm sure if she was with us now, she would want peace between the two communities, as do I.

@@mischlingbeerandcigarmanShabbat Shalom Mischling! The reason is that the moonidol is a demon of darkness and he can't stand people talking to his enemy, the Creator, cuz he knows that HaShem is listening from the heights of heaven and he also knows that the fervent prayer of the righteous moves the arm of the Most Holy, so of course, every morning a bro awakes starting his day with a Modeh ani on His lips or at least a Baroukh HaShem if he is in a hurry, that is alarming him and this demon absolutely can't stand people praising the One who will at the end punish him, so this demon tries everything to erase such adorants from the surface of the planet, but for every praying man he manages to get killed by his adepts, ten other brethren will stand up to praise the Lord almighty and this is going on since the days of Pharao Akhmoshe and his father already and the devil is unable to understand that his situation is getting worse with every day he manages people to sin instead of serving HaShem... Ofra Haza (Hebrew: עפרה חזה; 19 November 1957 - 23 February 2000) was an Israeli singer, songwriter and actress, commonly known in the Western world as "the Madonna of the East",[1] or "the Israeli Madonna".[2] Her voice has been described as a "tender" mezzo-soprano.[3] In 2023, Rolling Stone ranked Haza at number 186 on its list of the 200 Greatest Singers of All Time.[4]
Of Mizrahi Jewish (Yemenite-Jewish) descent, Haza's music is known as a mixture of traditional Middle Eastern and commercial singing styles, fusing elements of Eastern and Western instrumentation, orchestration and dance-beat, as well as lyrics from Mizrahi and Jewish folk tales and poetry.
She looks like a beautiful queen from an ancient civilization, great track.

Im moroccan/dutch and I always thought this song was arab growing up. Nothing changed when I found out it wasnt, will always love it. Its a forever gem.
Well... @@dennisthemenace3695 Its frankly weird. I understand the tradition and grew up having no negative feelings about it..although scaring children to behave is all in all quit immature in my opinion. The character of zwarte piet was once a very prominent fixture among the traditional native dutch but with immigration of the new dutch such as myself and many from former colonies such as Suriname/Antilles etc etc, things changed. Where once the older generations of New Dutch from the dutch colonies, who were not born nor grew up in Holland/Netherlands excepted the tradition and were not prone to speak their minds on the subject, the younger generation/born and raised in Holland and ofcourse attended dutch schools, did not have those constraints. The dutch in general are mouthy and do not fear to speak their minds and evidently are known worldwide for being very blunt and so this new generation spoke up and very loudly at that. Zwarte Piet looks out of step in the 21st century knowing dutch colonial history. So seeing a native dutchman/woman in blackface with blood red lips, fake afro and large golden earrings..well...it just doesnt fit this day and age. ps. Zwarte Piet is a negative stereotype and has been used as such by the native dutch themselves plus there is a history of black dutch people being called zwarte piet as some form of joke by some native dutch that in all has not helped the black dutch people warm up to the character in general. Funny facts: Santa Claus was based on Sinterklaas. Sinterklaas was based on Nicolaas van Myra the saint born in Patara, Lycië in Antalya, modern day Turkey. Zwarte Piet is based on the Moors who ruled Spain for 7 centuries, formerly known as Andalusia. The 2 biggest groups of New Dutch in Holland as of right now 2023 are Dutch Turks and Dutch Moroccans...lmaoo
@@dennisthemenace3695 No problem. Oh I know all about Blackface and its history in the US so I can understand the shock. I am very up to date with American culture, Im kind of American without being American lol. The biggest difference is that Holland did not have slaves in its country like the US did and so it took a long time for the tradition of Zwarte Piet to go sour. The tradition used to look quit harmless even if you are of African decent...until you learn the full context and history, then it all changes ones perception. And that is what has been happening for the last 2 decades. We now have people dressing up as Piet but without much blackface...just in all type of silly colors and some with soot swipes on their faces. I think its for the best.
@@dennisthemenace3695 LoL yeah soot lol..didnt you know going through a chimney also gives you an afro, red lips and golden ear rings??? LMAOOO. As for your folks knowing about Al Jolson/blackface minstrel shows and so forth. Your folks probably thought it was dutch tradition and speaking up against such things especially tradition isnt always welcome. Many native dutch still to this day have a hard time coming to grips with it all and some outright still deny there is anything wrong with it and even curse in their hearts the people who speak against it.
@@dennisthemenace3695 Shabbat Shalom Dennis ! Well the dutch are not the only ones who told their kids such stories. In the neighbourhood east of the Rhine, people not really long ago used to tell their kids who didn't wanna finish their soup or their plate "Der schwarze Mann wird dich holen, wenn du nicht brav alles aufisst!" ... Meaning "The black man will comes and take you if you don't eat up everything!" Unfortunately not every child took this black man for a legend. Some took it for granted. Now imagine their reaction when these kids for the first time see an American or French soldier with african roots... They panic! They panic even if it's just a refugee without uniform and without weapons on his shoulder. These poor kids panic Just cuz for their parents it was easier to put an end to the discussion by threatening them with the black man... Some african refugees asked me why the lil kids here are so anxious and when I tell them about this background, they get really sad! On the other hand with a father who refuses to tell fairly tales and invites people to eat regardless of their origin, the kids grow up with their own natural curiousness and without anxieties and without what germans call "Berührungsängste" (I'm ashamed to be a translator without knowing how to translate this word into english , sorry! It's a composed word of the roots for to touch and fear, but I cannot find a really fitting english word in my memory...) ... Kids are not born racists, they become racists by silly fairly tales and some never understand that they have been tricked by their parents and even as adults believe that "black man" is a synomyme for evil...
Technically it's an arab style song, song by an Israeli singer celebrating her Yemeni heritage

Im Nin'alu is a Hebrew poem by 17th-century Rabbi Shalom Shabazi. So the opening is "Im nin’alu daltei n’divim daltei marom lo nin’alu,” which translates into English as “Even if the gates of the rich are closed, the gates of heaven will never be closed.”. Which essentially means always trust in God even if other doors are closing on you.
