Good video. Just a few tips. If you wet the new oil filter with the used oil you will be less likely to have your oil filter stick next time you do your oil change. For some reason new oil can make it tougher to take your filter off next time. Also if you turn your big oil jug so you are pouring from the side you won't have the oil splash out as the air tries to get into the container. Good video. So many people think its a huge job to change their own oil, but really its just time and a little mess. Easy worth it to save $50.
Great video I have the same car I travel all over it has 250,000 miles now with the new oil product, when do we change the oil now? Do we change it at 5000, 10,000 or 25,000? Thank you
Quick question, what oil did you put in your car? Amsoil offers a few options, there is the signature series (25,000 miles), there is Extended Life (20,000 miles), OEM (3-5000 miles), and high mileage for vehicles with greater than 75,000 miles protects for (12,000 miles)
They do this type of thing so you will take it in to get it serviced just another reason not to buy this type of vehicle they are doing this a lot now and car manufacturing to make things difficult to DIY
I believe mobile 1, I got the oil change at the dealer, and now I'm gonna start doing it myself, I was changing every 5000 miles, so I will use the oil over 75,000 and change every 15,000 miles,, is that what you recommend? Thank you for replying, I used your you tube and name when I registered with the company, they asked how I found out about the product so I used your info.thanks again great video.
Good video, thank you. Would suggest pre-prime oil filter by putting some oil in filter and let it soak up in the filter eliment. Not sure if oil drain plug has crush washer?
Thanks. I have pre-primed the oil filter in the past. It is a good idea. I will look closer at the oil drain plug washer and order a new one to replace it. Thanks for pointing it out.
This is one of the worst placements of oil filter that I’ve seen on many different cars that I owned. It’s literally no way to remove old filter without getting the frame all dirty with oil.
Dealerships don't make money off of selling cars they make their money off of servicing the cars maintenance they charge way more than what it really should be being a mechanic I know this they take your car and keep it for 4 hours when the work was done in 1 hour what hour and a half
Is that for the Mobil brand? The Infiniti website states if you are using a FULL synthetic, not a blended or super version, use the 0w-20. www.infinitiusa.com/parts-service/en/service-maintenance/oil-change#:~:text=Every%20oil%20change%20is%20performed,help%20maximize%20your%20vehicle's%20performance.
@Aidan Bhuiyan Have you considered using Amsoil? It is 100% synthetic. The cleaning additives are the most on the market, I believe. In addition, the signature series is rated for 25,000 miles. If you follow the link in the description, as a preferred customer, you can get a 25% discount. They have filters blocking to 99% to 20 microns.
@Aidan Bhuiyan You said you change the oil once every 5000 miles or once a month basically. You also mentioned the sludge, so I thought with a longer drain interval and better detergents to clean your engine, I would make the suggestion. I am glad you found something that works for you.
Thank you very much for sharing. Very helpful and really appreciate the time you took to make this video. Thanks again!
Glad it was helpful!

Great detailed video. I was making an appointment at the dealership but I need to quit being lazy and do it myself.
It sucks because they made it in such a terrible way. My prius and lexus are literally just pop out pop in.

@arthurdaniels7260 it's why I don't buy German cars anymore.

I had the same issue with the dipstick showing for extremely full, but I took out 5 quarts and added 5 quartz?
How did you resolve it? I’m having the same issue

Great video! If you turn the jug sideways it won’t chug like that. 😊
Thanks for the idea. I will try that next time.
Great video dude.
Thanks, hope it is helpful.
Great video! Thank you very much!
Thanks!
Should of changed the crush washer on the plug.
Thanks for noticing. I will take care of it.
Suddenly rethinking doing this myself 😂 #messierthanidlike I never see the folks at the 5min oil change place under the car 😩
You can do it!
Most helpful video. Thankyou

The Nissan rouge is the same 😒
However there will be no rust in those areas down the road.
Update: I just changed mine and got maybe 3-4 drops of oil on me and none one the frame. I can tell you how if you want to know.
@@Ojb_1959sure, how did you do it?
