I’m using the same set up on my 2008 dodge ram 1500. One difference for me was I had to cut into one of the heater lines as mechanics suggested I use one of the hoses that has consistent flow. The problem that I’m having right off the bat is, as soon as I turn the key to the on position the fan turns on. From my understanding is the fan should not turn on until it gets up to temperature. Would this be part of the grounding issue that you were talking about?
The wires they sent me are exactly like this, but in the diagram they sent me the white wire was the temperature wire and the black was to go to the ignition....we wired it exactly like you did, with a 160 thermostat and my fan isnt coming on....I used heat shrink wire connectors and shit because its a 67 firebird but idk why the fan isnt kicking on right now.....no clue what to do
That is strange. Try testing the coolant temp switch they sent you. Once it gets to a certain temp it is supposed to ground itself. I just used a test light to test mine. I hear they are notorious for being bad right out of the box. Let me know if that works and if I can help trouble shoot send me a message on Instagram

Did you use 10ga wire to your keyed power? It comes with a 30 amp circuit breaker, so I’m thinking it should be 10 ga, but their wire is only 14ga???
I used the wire they sent me for everything but for my key on power source I just used 14 ga wire
