I miss the days of a $500 beater that you could get a pretty solid couple years out of. Now you can't even find a non runner for less than 1200 in my area.
And these are 30 year old cars that were cheap for along time aka clapped cheap speed I have 6k in a 5k car but I'll have a late model 944 at the end of it
I would love to see you convert a convertible to a coupe project. There are so many nice convertibles around my area and well taken care of for good prices. If I had that car and the know how, I would definitely try to make a coupe out of a convertible. To me it’s worth buying. I would have gotten it too. They are getting harder and harder to find these days. Love the channel!, 👍👍
I wouldn't even pay $500 for it. Typical rust belt car that the previous owners didn't take care of. Like you, I live in the rust belt and know all about the wonders of salt on the roads in the winter. Strut towers totally toasted, as well as other areas underneath. I'd take whatever can be used from it and give it a merciful end and scrap that rotted away body. Pisses me off seeing my favorite sports cars like this.
I got my '89 2 years ago for $1500. I won real good. Had a dead cylinder but it has rear disk brakes. Adjustable upper control arms. 5 lug swap and came with a cx racing turbo kit. And it's in really good shape. Just a little bit of surface rust, no structure damage. I think its got an 8 cylinder t5, not really sure the difference yet. It was originally a 4 cyl car. Someone put a good amount of money and time into it. And I just put about 6 grand in it building a 347 that should fire up in the next month. Can't wait.
It’s sad see that lot people sell cars that like this one in video ant want a arm and a leg for it even if it runing and drive underneath is rust really bad I no for lot of us we went rich and cost to cut have all underneath replaced is expensive On top of all new parts shock towers and axles we all been there your good at shaping sheet metal and have tools all that that’s a pluse save lot money lot us don’t have tools equipment for that so lot go to part and crusher 😢
Now days even a roller for 1600 is a good deal been watching out for a Notch here in Commiefornia with no luck so far. The Mustang Addiction is real 💪🐎🚗🇺🇸🔧
Yeah it's never going to be a street car anymore, way to much damage everywhere on the whole underside. It should be destine to be all out tubular race car, if that's possible or parts car, those seats are in really good shape.
Damn man. I love these cars and live in northern Wisconsin. I couldn't see spending a dollar on this. You are one hell of a friend to buy this off of him. I love your content but have no idea what you are going to do with that. I feel so bad you can have one of my fox bodies. My parts cars are way cleaner than that. I'm serious
Regardless theres some good parts on the car that are hard to find. When i take a closer look at it, ill find out what its all about. Its probably too far gone to even bother with for anyone.
@@Neomustangs I was being sincere man. I've watched your stuff for years. Learned a great deal from you and always appreciate your stuff. It just looks so crazy bad that I'd hate to see you kill yourself in that monster. If you ever need a hulk shell, I got you man
I'm looking at one in my area that's only $500. Roller that's gutted inside and no fenders, hood, or bumper but it's solid. It is a hatchback but it looks pretty solid in the pictures.
@@Neomustangs definitely. It's east of Cincinnati, OH if you might know anyone else who would be interested if I don't buy it. My money is kinda tight right now 😂
Sometimes there's nothing more expensive than a cheap car.
100%

That pony was ridden hard and put away wet! oh my, Dan's got his hands full on this Pony. Wishing Good Luck! Will be fun to see what happens next.
I would be interested in the front seats if you decide to part it out🤷🏽♂️
Justa little Flex Seal man she will be all good 😂

You *might* be able to get your money out of the parts.
Aww hell here we go!

@@Neomustangs agreed 👍

My 79 is restored next to that one!!!!

The Mustang Addiction is real 💪🐎🚗🇺🇸🔧
Yes it is!
Perfect candidate for an LS swap drag racer
I have 2 5.0 engins id sell!!
One complete and one short block!! GT 40p heads also
A local car lot has a fox body between two newer mustangs. The fox looks tiny! No wonder the new stands weigh so much!!
Typical gm owner, can't tell the difference between a circle & an oval. Lol
Nice to have buddies. Thats gonna be 4k soon as you cross the Ohio line.
To much chevy orange 🍊 in that shop 😭🤣🔧🚗🐎👊🇺🇸
I’d be interested in the door panels if you do want part out.
It’s at least got some good parts on it, those seats look good, and door panels, the doors though? Ehhh.
Where are you at in Ohio? I’m in the Youngstown area.

It's hard for me to get it through my head that some of these cars are 40+ years old now.
dan whatever happened with that convertibke to coupe project you were working on? i forgot all about that

@@robertclymer6948 😂😂😂
The seats look super nice still
Life has taught me to pay "too much" and get a "deep southwest car" that has zero rust.
Rust free 60s cars are out there.
