You shouldn't signal where you are going *before* the roundabout. You only signal right before you leave roundabout.
Not in the Netherlands... You use your signals before the roundabout when you are going 3/4 and 1/4.
Oh, okay. I thought there are the same laws in the whole EU.
It is not really a law. It's more something you learn with your driving lessons. You won't get a ticket if you refuse to use them before the roundabout. It is to let people know which exit you are going to take. Therefore, on roundabouts with more lanes, people can anticipate. Also bikers (the Netherlands ;)) know which exit you take and therefore can anticipate.
That makes sense, but when I was learning how to drive, my instructor told me that I must not signal before I enter the roundabout. Idk if that is only for our country but oh well...
