Excellent Video clip! Sorry for chiming in, I am interested in your opinion. Have you heard the talk about - Riddleagan Blossoming Solo Remedy (google it)? It is a great exclusive guide for mastering guitar scales without the headache. Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my GF finally got astronomical results with it.
+The guy who is cutting the onions Thanks friend! Also, if you find any difficulty in this, I have a step-by-step video in this free lesson series: www.yourguitarsage.com/free-ugs-membership
Dude! You are AWESOME!!! I have wanted to learn guitar all my life. Never had time. Work, work, work. So I get sick right, put out of work, I am 54 by the way, decided, its time, looked all over and never satisfied or I should say had very much confidence in what I found out there until I came across you. AWESOME, JUST AWESOME! Thank you. You make me feel I can do this. Thank you again. I am also left handed.
Thank you so much Richard for your very inspiring comment. Hopefully you have continued to practice. Let me know how you are doing. Thank you again for your comment!! e:)
I actually love you, I spent the whole day trying to learn a song and it just all sounded low and medieval esque, found out my guitar was really out of tune, this helped a lot thanks so much
Hi there. I remember all what I went through in the beginning with the tuning process before the technology available to us today... even broken strings and completely lost 'ear' on a number of occasions. Ha ha ha. But always play and practice with the instrument in tune for a number of reasons. And one simple ear training tool is this... Each time when you have the guitar in tune, strum slowly, one string at a time from the low E/6th-string to the high e/1st-string numerous times and listen closely/intently to the sound of each string as you do while it is in this Standard Tuning. You will hear a progression in tone that will eventually become 'second nature' to your ear... and you will eventually know if or when it is off. A long time ago, I thought for me this would never be, but even my 'ear' developed. All the best.
i'm so scared right now. i've jumped from wanted to be an artist in drawing to buying a guitar and trying to learn this. i REALLY want this to work, not to mention my guitar Betty keeps reminding me i spent my allowance on that guitar so i better learn something lol. hoping this works ;) great video
Get you a capo and electric tuner for acoustic guitar and that solves the problem tuning and the capo will allow you to play many different songs without retuning the guitar although there are many songs that requires different tunes.. good luck don’t quit on it, took me about 1yr of practice before I really started learning enough chords to play!! Learn E chord D chord and C chord and you have the basics to play about three thousand songs
Im in the boat wit you & guitar been sitting here forever! So many tutes on RUclips & so much info on Google & Facey it becomes so confusing & daunting! Who do we listen to & what do we use; everyone seems to have a qualified opinion etc - good ol algorithms!
Yesterday, I could not get the sound right and today in 5 min I got it tuned up, so at least I could test the cords to sound as they should. Thank you for helping me restore the confidence in my not so perfect hearing. Thank you!
OMG! i didn't know it wasn't gonna work at first, but once was done tuning it, it was exactly the same as i strummed it when iwas at guitar class!!!!! thank you sooooo much! i appreciate it
Best video I've ever seen in my life !! And I MEAN IT! all I've always been looking for, is that first note T_T and they wouldn't shut up.. not ever T_T and then there's this video : O god bless you and happy new year :)
This video is great because it helps you develop your ear for recognizing notes. But if you're having trouble, I really like the free Pano Tuner app. I use it for tuning all my stringed instruments, including my Dusty Strings FH36S folk harp. There are all kinds of electronic tuners that can be purchased, many rather inexpensively. The kind you clip onto the guitar's headstock are very convenient. Read the buyer reviews to compare the pros and cons of the brands/models you're considering. I have an old electronic tuner, a Boss TU-12 Chromatic Tuner. It has a built-in mic for tuning acoustic guitars and standard input and output ports for electric guitars, using it in-line and for tuning acoustic guitars using a clip-on mic. I don't know if they're still sold. (I bought mine in the 1980s or 1990s.) But, if they're still available, I really like mine and find it to be very accurate and easy-to-use.
Well there, I like this music and how I want to play these sounds on the guitar, I'm using the application "Guitar tuna" although however, the chords of this song: A; B / G; bm; C; D; In, they do not appear in that same application. - Someone can you please explain how to create the chord B / G, is that the application does not appear. A5; C5; D5; F5; G; G5; GM - Perfect Strangers, also appears different in application. What is the explanation? See you soon

Hi I'm completely new at the guitar and I can't afford lessons so I'm trying to teach myself. I'm stuck with the tuning. I can never get the strings to exactly match the tuner sound. It's either slightly too high or slightly too low. And then when I use the by-hand/ear method (fifth fret should match the sound of the next string) to check if I've tuned it right, I'm completely off. How do I fix this problem?

So what do ya do if one or 2 are not right? How the heck do ya fix it/change it?
I haven't played guitar in a year. I'm looking to play "Don't look back in Anger" by Oasis. Would it be possible?
Hi, I have a question. I have a guitar with nylon strings, does that sound different, when tuning, compared to a guitar with steel strings?
Not at all my friend! The tuning should be the same. Nylon strings typically sound a little darker, but a beautiful sound nonetheless.
awesome
Thank you Joseph. Appreciate your kind comment! Rock on!
e :)
thanks for the help i finally tuned my guitar
+Rita Samuel Right on Rita! e:)

You are welcome Stanley!
Is this tuning based on using the fifth fret?
You can't do it that way. I have a lesson on RUclips for that which is called tuning the guitar without a tuner. This is for the open strings however.
just got a sub thx it really works thank youuuuuu!!!!!!!!!!!
+Sonny Carranza Thanks Sonny!
LOL....... great idea Erich!! :)

Last time I tuned my guitar one of the stringed snapped. So I'm scared to try it again
This is great! My electronic tuner has bitten the dust! I have a piano, but it's probably out of tune(Lol).
How can you tell when it's tuned
Hi I'm completely new at the guitar and I can't afford lessons so I'm trying to teach myself. I'm stuck with the tuning. I can never get the strings to exactly match the tuner sound. It's either slightly too high or slightly too low. And then when I use the by-hand/ear method (fifth fret should match the sound of the next string) to check if I've tuned it right, I'm completely off. How do I fix this problem?
Practice....once again. Listen...train your ear.

Thanks for your advice. It really helped! :) Also do you know how to bar chords? I'm having difficulty with that. What exactly does barring do?
