- In this episode of Getting Things Done, I am decluttering (at last) the basket at the bottom of the stairs, finally attending to mail, gardening and finishing with some overdue quilting.

I personally don’t know how you do it all. Work 40hrs, do RUclips and patreon and Etsy!! When I worked outside the home I paid my nieces once a month to help me do a whole house deep cleaning it took us like 4 hours. By myself it would have taken me all wknd and that the last thing I wanted to do after working all week. I still had to grocery shop and do laundry too. 💜👍💜👍
Heck I can’t keep up now and I don’t work an outside job! Always something to do.

A couple pots of impatiens would be a pretty pop of color in your "secret garden" ! Also, caladiums are really pretty color for shade gardens! I'm really impressed with your no till garden, it has succeded so well !!! Congratulations!! I remember back when you had "a swamp" for your backyard.
Sophia- I've used a basket on the stairs for all of my 38 years in my home. Great habit! I don't empty it out once a week though. I just make sure to take something up Every Time. Tempting to just run by but don't! Take something - even something little. Your house looks lovely :) Also, I have worn the same lipstick (as my Mom) for 28 years! LOL. I guess I'm the different one:) xo

Loved today's video. The dragon fly quilt is just lovely looks like stain glass so so pretty. The garden just fab. The driving you do alone with drive me crazy two hours in traffic and in bad weather.
I know me too. I never had to drive more than 20 or 30 minutes to job.
Sophia....I do the same thing..".Uh...I forgot to do this" " Uh..I regret just sitting down and not doing anything". etc.... Today after I got out of work I came home spent a little time with the hubby who was going to play at a gig that I decided not to go to and I almost fell asleep on the couch. After the hubby left I made an effort to get up and took the dog for a 1/2 hr walk, then I picked up a couple of things in the back yard and began looking at everything I would like to do. I then came into the house and as I was about to sit and watch this video I said to myself " It is still light outside why not clean the front windows, so I began cleaning the windows from the outside and of course a neighbor was walking by and we chit chatted for awhile and needless to say I did not finish the task because it was getting dark and the mosquitos began their hunt so I stopped, so I came inside and here I am watching you Sophia. Tomorrow a day off from work and it is another day to procrastinate, LOL....well hopefully not. Thanks again for you do, I really enjoy your company.
I think you do so much Sophia. I really don’t know how you fit everything in. I love the bamboo trellis, I agree it is better than metal spikes. The dragonfly quilt is coming along really nicely and is looking beautiful.

OMG Sophia!!! 12 lipsticks? I'm over it! I remember when you had so many you needed bags and bags to toss them. This is a WIN for you! You didn't go out and repurchase the dozens of lipsticks since decluttering!!!!

Happy Mother's Day !!! I always enjoy watching and the quilt is coming a long beautifully. Quilts are a lot of work and some times slow going. It makes us so impressed when we finish one. I hope you use this one on a quilt rack for display.

Weed, keeps moisture and it breaks down providing compost

Sophia, I have reached the conclusion that we women are entirely unrealistic in our expectations of ourselves. We are moms, wives, employees and then the cycle continues with the grandchildren. There are only so many hours in a day, not to mention we have to eat and take care of ourselves too. I think we need to extend more grace for ourselves and realize at the end of the day that if we’ve done our best, then it is enough. 🩷💕
