Nicole was wearing it Sunday and it looked so pretty on her. It reminded me that I don’t think I ever wore it in a full mani. Also, I remember when Kelli swatched the collection, she liked Pixie Party better, which is unusual because she usually prefers anything with a purple base. But Fairy Dust is very coppery.

I sooo agree with you about nail polish prices. Even for mainstream. I remember when Zoyas were $8. And Essies were also about 8 dollars in stores as well.
Cirque Colors prices are indeed crazy. The first time I ordered from them I was shocked at the bottle size. I recently went on their site to look at some of their new colors.. I couldn't believe I was at $56 after adding 4 polishes.

    • @cynthiajfaulkner8655
      @cynthiajfaulkner8655 5 месяцев назад +2

Cirque wasn’t quite as bad until they raised prices to pay for the new lids and wide brushes. It’s ridiculous because I’ve seen many people say they wouldn’t buy because of their teeny brush. Increased sales could have absorbed it with strong marketing.

Mooncat is probably my favorite boutique brand, but I absolutely refuse to try the Speed Demon topcoat because I find the price obscene. It's more than a dollar per ml, for a TOP COAT! With the rate I go through the stuff, you can rip my $6.50/15ml KBShimmer top coat (or the newly $8 top coat from Glisten&Glow) from my cold, dead hands. Still love Mooncat though, they can take my money via other products lol

@@Diametricallyopposed00 This is maybe the third comment I've seen in a few weeks that mentions Cirque jellies not drying. This is so curious to me! It has to be a body chemistry thing, yes? Such a great Saturday entertainment, I love it! I am so with you regarding Fairy Dust. I find on me it is not contrasting enough next to my skin tone nor is it sparkly flashy enough to make up for it. Trend I didn‘t like the first couple of times and not liking it any more today: crackled polish. Oh and frosty finishes (when I was a kid that was the finish „ladies of a certain age“ would wear). I rather pay an Indie brand USD 14.00 than a Boutique brand USD 16.00 (especially since I can dupe their collections with my stash most of the time). I had to chuckle over your remark about red nailpolish. That‘s pink for me. I also don‘t wear yellow or white or peach. And ugh bar glitter. The price of indie and boutique nail polish has increaaed significantly. The other thing that bothers me is the very expensive shipping some brands charge; there was one that was applying $14 shipping for a 6 polishes collection. • @Motley14
    @Motley14 5 месяцев назад +4

I only have responses for some of these, but here goes (sorry for the long comment lol):
3 - A Nail Polish Finish You Don’t Like: Cremes, which is funny because when I started painting my nails in ... 2018(?) I would only buy cremes and use matte topcoat every time. But once I found more interesting finishes like multichromes and magnetics I rarely wear cremes now.
4 - A Brand You Think is Overpriced: Mooncat. I bought five of their polishes on a 20% off sale and I was so pumped to try them, but I just don't love the formula and their magnetics don't react as well as other brands for me. When ILNP is right there with a diverse catalogue and each polish is several dollars cheaper than Mooncat, I just can't justify buying Mooncat. I feel similarly about Holo Taco.
6 - A Trend You Didn’t Like At It’s Peak, but Do Now: A silly answer because I actually don't own any in this finish, but Jellies! I used to think they were dumb, but now I want to buy some. It's just a shame a lot of brands don't do them or they're expensive or not easily accessible. I would love to buy several jellies for a skittle but most are out of my price range right now. If I could pick up jellies during a drugstore run, I'd do it but mainstream brands don't really make them.
7 - A Color You Don’t Wear Often or At All: Because I'm a guy who paints his nails I've always leaned toward more masculine colors (whatever that means, and I'm not saying men/male-identifying people should only wear dark colors lol) so I never wear nudes/neutrals, reds or pinks and I rarely wear brights or neons. But something that bugs me is when men only use black. Like... there are so many good alternatives to black -- any deep jewel color will do or even grey/gunmetal. But I usually stick to deep greys, blues, greens, purples burgundies. That's also why I love multichromes because a lot of them are already deep in color.
Ok, that's it! Thanks for the video, Stefanie!

Same with Jellies or super sheer tints! Hahaja “Go girl give us nothing” Reddit can be funny. Kismet is beautiful. I also laugh when people complain how something is too sheer and they had to use like five coats. Hahaha don’t use it then.
Omg! I also don’t like the bar finish.
I also don’t like when something is rebranded that was out for a while! It’s the same in makeup.

I love these videos! My hot takes are:
I don’t wear a lot of pink, but I have found some that I love (MC Sand Viper ily)
I actually love chartreuse and “prugly” colors, but used to avoid them because I was told they were super ugly so it’s partially a rebellion haha
I agree about the trending renaming of colors, it’s too much but at the same time, I can see how it romanticizes a certain color and make it feel like a fun moment.
I hate, haaaaaaaaate speckled nail polish.
I don’t love PP collections that are all slight variations on the same two colors. I respect the originality but not my thing.
I think reflective glitter is nearly pointless if it only shows up well with flash or on camera.
Glossy Taco has not been great for me, agree!
Jellies rule! I wasn’t sure at first but now I’m all the way on board.
I hated matte finish at the height of its popularity but I really like it now!

It used to be back in the day that Dior had my fav brush…but now so many more mainstream brands have such good paddle style brushes. But their brush and formula are still one of my favs, esp among luxury brands. But I only will buy if they are on-sale, or I’ll ask for a specific color as a gift for my B-day or something. I received a Louboutin in a pinky beige called Tutulle back when they first were released and I absolutely despised the brush. But the bottle was super cool and unique. 5. The trend I never really could get behind was the “glazed donut” nails. I just don’t think you can properly achieve that look without using gel chrome. So I just didn’t bother much with it. 6. The trend I didn’t really like at first was jelly nails…but you have converted me 💯🥰. Now I love them and it just evokes that summer popsicle look I really love! 7. I don’t really wear many browns. It’s not that I don’t like them, but I just gravitate towards different colors in the fall and winter when I would wear them. 8. The polish I like but think is WAY overhyped is BKL Doomicorn. I know SO many people will @ me for that! 🤣 9. The topcoat I don’t really like is surprisingly ILNP. I wanted to like it but I got shrinkage with it. The other one that is popular that I tried to like was Cuticula. It gets so stringy! Nothing compares to G&G and Mooncat for me. They are super glossy, plumping, and I have zero shrinkage with either. 👏🏻 10. A polish I don’t think gets enough love is a topper actually. The KB shimmer Out Of Sequins is just SO SO beautiful and adds a little magic to any mani! ✨✨✨

Interesting perspective on Dark Horse. I get it and agree with you. I do love that shade but not even half as much as say Dragon Scales or Not Today satan. Jellies - I can see where they look amazing on you and don't necessarily look good on everyone. I liken visible nail line to toe cleavage in shoes where the top comes down too low and you can see the cracks between toes LOL. and YES! Barf to bar glitters. Yukky! me too with chartreuse and reds. Fairy Dust - any time i wear that I end up putting a topper on it so i get it. It's pretty but to me it is missing something.
My answers - a popular polish I don't like would be Whiskey Sunise by Mooncat. A polish everyone hates but I like - don't know!!! A nail polish finish I don't like - matte!!! Overpriced brand - Cirque. I stopped buying them after they took more than 4 weeks to ship an order. i cancelled it and have not bought from them again. A trend I cannot get on board with - matte finish (I sense a theme). Trend i didn't like but like now - blues in general. Color I don't wear often or at all - same as you chartreuse and reds. Polish over hyped - hands down House of Hades by Mooncat. Also Disco Dust by Holo Taco (don't like it at all) Top Coat I don't like - Holo Taco. Polish that does not get enough love - KB Shimmer polishes in general and Cupcake brands . Specifically love Daydreaming by Cupcake Polish.

i feel like it’s just one of those polishes i like on other people but not on me! i definitely do have to give it another try in the fall though, maybe similar to Fairy Dust i’m just missing something 🤣 i never thought to layer something on top of Fairy Dust so i might have to try hat, i’ve people layer it over other shades and it looks so fun too! and omggg the VNL to toe cleavage comparison i CAN’T 💀 hahaha i totally understand though! i’m glad you also agree with me on the bar glitters, chartreuse and reds 🙈
but omg i love Whiskey Sunrise lol! and isn’t the second one kind of hard?? and UGH yes the long 3-6 week turnaround time from some brands is soo crazy! i feel like Cirque usually ships way faster than that but i don’t blame you for never wanting to order from them again. and ahh i knew someone would say House of Hades is overhyped lol! i get it, but at the same time i think its worth it bc the color glows like 🤯 for me at least hehe. and ohh yes i’m with you on KBShimmer not getting enough love! they really deserve as much as the boutique brands imo, their quality is up there 🤩 thank you so much for answering!!

-I have ILNP Dash of Cocoa, so I'll never get MC Dark Horse. But it did make me curious, so I went to ILNP and DoC is currently 60th most popular of 579 items, which was surprisingly high to me since it's currently spring. I guess everyone wants a nice dark brown in their collection.
-Cirque pricing really suffers since they're based in NYC. Those cost of living prices are not kind to them >.

and that’s true too about Cirque being NY based.. i know they also opened up a second warehouse in NJ sometime last year (or 2yrs ago) but idk if they were fully planning on moving.
HAHAH i’m so sorryyyy about Fairy Dust!! don’t get me wrong she’s soooo beautiful. but it always struck me as odd the way everyone would always post about it allll the time, when i feel like Fairy Dust and Pixie Party are on the same level! 🫣 but yes i can definitely see HoH being overhyped too, at first i was like ok no i get it, but then we got a lot of other intensely glowy cobalts from indies and mainstream alike soo it was suddenly not that special - omg maybe this is also what i felt about Fairy Dust! it kicked off that orange shimmer in a purple base that i ended up seeing sooo often last year 🤔
and agh i hate a super strong smelling polish/topcoat too! i don’t notice it being worse in HT thankfully. but i’m glad you like both ILNP and Mooncat!!

    1. Dreamland Shake Your Shamrock - the formula was awful, I didn’t even get a single wear
    2. Holo Taco Lemon Spritzer. The linear holo glows so nicely. Why does everyone hate sunny yellow?
    3. Matte finish polish. If I want a matte finish, I will use a matte top coat over a glossy one. The formulas on matte polishes are not beginner friendly.
    4. Cirque Colors. I am very selective on any purchase from Cirque due to the price point.
    5. I would love it if the blue shimmer in everything trend slowed off.
    6. Reflective glitter as a topper does add a nice sparkle. Not as difficult as I once thought.
    7. Blue. Most blue polishes do not look good on me.
    8. Holo Taco Existential Crisis. It is a fine polish just not life changing on the nails.
    9. I am not a fan of the KB Shimmer top coat. It gets gloopy faster than other topcoats and shrinks.
    10. ILNP Hayride deserves all the love in the world. Everyone who reviewed the Harvest collection said to skip that polish. It is not the same as Pumpkin Patch. Also it glows like afternoon sun on yellow leaves.

    • @PolishedYogi
      @PolishedYogi  5 месяцев назад

Ooo I haven’t heard anyone say they didn’t like that Shamrock shade! That sucks about the formula being bad for you.
As far as Lemon Spritzer goes, maybe it’s not fair for me to say since I never tried it myself, but I just don’t see it as a sunny yellow 😅 generally I don’t like Holo Taco yellows though bc they lean too green for me
I do agree about matte polishes! Leave it to a topcoat. But omg noo I would be sad to see the blue shimmer “trend” die off! I’ve been loving those.. but I get it lol I wonder what the next color shimmer will be? 🤔
Also yayyy for coming around to reflective glitter!! I def can see why people hate the full glitter polishes, but yes toppers are not nearly as bad!! ✨
And oooo I’ve heard a few people say the same about Existential Crisis! 👀 from their photos I can understand the disappointment, but it makes me wonder how I’d feel if I ever tried it.
But :0 about the Kb topcoat! I always hear great things about it esp regarding it not shrinking! I still have to try it myself too. And ohhh I love Hayride! Definitely agree it does need more love bc it’s often overlooked. I know I felt like it was too similar to Pumpkin Patch to be in the same collection, but at the same time it felt so cohesive and wouldn’t be the same without it. Thank you for reminding me of that one, the picture you painted was beautiful! ✨

  • @tabularasa
    @tabularasa 5 месяцев назад +1

Interesting topic, sure to get some dialogue going in the comments! 😄 I am only about six months into my nail care journey, so I can't contribute much, but I am so intrigued by this community and the very strong opinions lol Talking about colors is the most interesting to me. We all have different perceptions of beauty, and different skin tones, and different ideas of what looks right or not... I think I am pretty "basic" in some ways, in that I am absolutely horrified by most "prugly" shades that I see swatched, but I'm still endlessly entertained by the people who enjoy them. But at the same time, I personally can't do reds or red-leaning pinks. I'm anaemic and pale and often have a lavender tone in my fingers and toes. I can't even wear red or orange or yellow clothing or I'll look absurd. So that makes my nail polish options pretty straightforward. Good thing I love blue! 😂 Blues and purples and magentas, and some teals.
In regard to finishes, I'm not drawn to metallic-looking ones, even if the texture is not actually there, if it appears textured, I'm not into it.
And as for prices, I think it's interesting that many comments here seem to agree about Cirque. From my perspective, I live in a place where even Essie and OPI are 12 dollars at the closest Walmart, so boutique prices don't seem like a big deal to me, especially when the quality and wearability is so good. And doing the math, 11ml vs 15ml, even if the bottle price is a few dollars difference, it really breaks down into pennies difference per milliliter. Not a big deal to me. I thank you again for your huge swatch video of Cirque jellies. I had been curious about this formula, and your efforts there really influenced me to try them, and now I am certain that jellies are my jam. I found my ideal formula for my preferred aesthetic! Playing with toppers and sandwiching and painting gradients directly on the nail!? It's the best, such fun. Thanks 💜

I'm doing these questions as well cus it sounds fun! ☺
    1. BKL- Doomicorn 😶‍🌫
    2. same in terms to having a difficult time in specifying, so my general answer would be prugly shades, usually taupe or olive ones.
    3. between glitters and jellies... jellies. I have long nails and have for most of my life, but I don't like seeing my nail line unless it's a sheer pink or white shade as a palette cleanser. 🥲
I think I might not even like textured either, but since I don't have any, it feels wrong to answer with that.
    4. This was hard to answer since most of my expensive ones were from auctions... I want to say Holo Taco now? not sure why though.
    5. I'm going to be honest, I don't really follow with social media trends... so I don't know how to answer this one. 🙃Uh.. I guess negative space nail art?
    6. uh... ugly pretty colors? I used to not like them, but they've grown on me? Idk how to answer this properly either cus of what I said in #5.
    7. I had to really think about it.. I would say purple leaning pinks? I only found out after getting Ethereal's Friday Night from PPU last month do I not like super dark pinks on me. Mooncat's A Midsummer's Dream, which I've finally tried on now, is the darkest I'd be okay with in terms of pinks on myself.
    8. BKL - You Were My Monster. I wore it, and it's really pretty while being subtle... but since I got it from an auction, Idk if it was worth $110... 😓
Also, since I DO have a collection of Ethereals, since seeing them over time now, I do agree with your take on the egh aspect of fomo. That's why after I collected most of the past mysteries to appease my collector's side, I kind of stopped getting from them and started looking at other brands. Though ALSO, same for Holo Taco, tbh.
    9. Night Owl Lacquer's top coat. It sadly shrinks on me, so I use it only for my toes cus then my perfectionist mind doesn't have the time to stare at them like I would with my fingers.
    10. Essie's Mind-full meditation. Weirdly enough, it's a creme, and I put it on my feet and it really impressed me with its coverage and I somehow really like the shade despite it being a creme! (Maybe this will get me to revisit cremes someday! 🤭)
Btw, I really do think you should try out reds more often! I tried and that's what made me a non-seasonal wearer last year, just makes me feel more confident in myself!!

But I dunno what it is, nowadays I don’t care for it to the point of thinking of destashing it…😅 it just seems so boring and lacking compared to my other magnetics, or maybe my eyesight has somehow gotten worse because it feels like the blue magnetic pigment barely shows up in the polish

omg yeah i think in my Fav Magnetics video i mentioned loving Apollo way more than Millennia !! i also did find that one to be superrr sheer, maybe over a black/navy base it would look better but yeah even still i would rather wear other galaxy inspired magnetics 😅

@@eatlocal123I think on the site it does say that it looks best if you put it over top a black polish? If you haven’t tried that, I do think it helps with the opacity issue but not my other problems with it 😅

What a fun video!! 🤗 Thank you for the timestamps so I could quickly copy and paste the questions to throw in some answers of my own:
    *[1]* A Popular Polish You Don’t Like
Toe Beans by Holo Taco. I just dislike pink, so that's a me thing ha, ha lol, but there's nothing wrong with the polish. I knew there was going to be excitement around it, and some of the nail swatchers I watch listed it in their top 10 polishes of 2023 (late December to January video uploads), so I just had to ignore it. 😆
*[2]* A Polish Everyone Hates But You Like
I know that there are people with sensitivities to texture (very valid), but for me I actually really like polishes that have that smooth sand/soft grain texture. They really don't sell well for any brand that makes them, which is sad for me but I wish there were more colors and options in that particular finish lol.
*[3]* A Nail Polish Finish You Don’t Like
Any type of glitter or topper that sticks up awkwardly and doesn't lay flat nicely on the curve of the nail.
*[4]* A Brand You Think is Overpriced
This doesn't apply for just one brand (it applies to many), but a quick example; $13 for a clear top coat from Mooncat. I get it that there's R&D that goes into formulas, and it's worth paying a bit more for a product that is smooth, doesn't cause shrinking, dries quickly etc. But it is actually nutty that a clear top coat is $13, and brands are trying to normalize that this is what it should cost customers. 😤 I look at my order history as well, and I still remember the time when I Scream Nails changed their pricing suddenly from $9 a bottle to $13.50 (and the relentless spam of deals).
*[5]* A Trend You Can’t Get On Board With
Crackle nail polish is just not for me lol.
*[6]* A Trend You Didn’t Like At It’s Peak, but Do Now
I never disliked the velvet style of magnetic polishes; I just never paid much attention to it when it was at its highest peak. I dabble in it a bit more now than I used to.
*[7]* A Color You Don’t Wear Often or At All
Pink I never wear. I also get really picky when brands don't describe their shades well, and I have to look at dozens of swatches in different lighting conditions to ascertain if something leans into the pink family, if it has any kind of pink pigment/sparkle in it etc.
*[8]* A Polish You Like But Think is Overhyped
Holo Taco's Matte Taco. I like it, it's a good product, but I'm not one of those HT extreme fans that believe the brand can do no wrong. There have been occasions where I feel like the language used in the livestreams is overhyping certain products as well. Matte Taco is good, but it's not the best, most 'chalkboard', mattifying effect top coat in my collection either. One-Coat Black is a good product, but so is Salon Perfect's Oil Slick which is around $2-$4.30 a bottle.
*[9]* A Popular Top Coat You Don’t Like
For me it's Seche Vite (OG one in the clear bottle) because of the shrinkage issue and I'll probably never buy it again. But I do know that Seche Vive (blue bottle) doesn't have that problem.
I appreciate the pricing on the pro refill kits though.
*[10]* A Polish That Doesn’t Get Enough Love
I expect this for polishes that aren't new, but I always get compliments when I use the shade Fresh (CNL45) by L.A. Colors for nail art. Whether it's painting leaves for the top of a strawberry, palm fronds, trees or moss, it just looks like the 'correct' color for leaves if that makes sense. Tbf a very basic green crème just isn't exciting, but I haven't found a perfect dupe for it from another brand yet. If anyone knows of a perfect match, do let me know. 😊

    • @PolishedYogi
      @PolishedYogi  4 месяца назад +1

of course! appreciate you sharing your responses too, they were fun to read! and i definitely do hear you on mooncat’s topcoat being expensive 🙈 there probably are other more affordable ones out there but its just one i keep going back to! i’ve heard great things about KB so hopefully i can try that or Cuticula soon. also for your very last one- i wasn’t able to find many photos of that LA Colors but it reminded me of the green from essie’s summer collection last year, where it looks like the perfect green for leaves etc! but sadly that one seems like its discontinued at least on essie’s site :/

Feel you on MC Dark Horse 💀 guess that shade rly lives up to its name 😂 i too agree yea it looks nice on other people but i like the ethereal flakies more.
my own answer for 'colors you don't wear' surprised me: i too don't wear reds. Even though all reds look great on my skintone, and i own and enjoy several blood-red lipsticks and buy red shirts 😅
idk, i just somehow don't really like the look of red nails. And seeing as i own several blue/purple polishes..maybe it really just happens that i like the cooler colors on nails 🤔
im also on the side of sheer finishes 😆 every time a new polish comes out, i see people sad/concerned abt VNP. Sorry guys but sheers for life for me 😂 i rly just like the ethereal 'the polish looks innate to the nail' aesthetic, where some harsh opaque creme shades just look like fake plastic nails glued on, esp if thickly layered?
I think my truly unpopular opinion is liking short-short nails. I keep practically no free edge. I experimented with a few milimeters of free edge for a few semesters in college, but then went back to no free edge. It's just so much nicer to type, write and do anything with!!

I feel like I'm a walking unpopular opinion with my nail polish choices lol. I'm NoT lIkE oThEr PolIsH lOvErS 😆
I'm a yellow/green/orange/brown polish fan. So basically, the 10 worst sellers for Holo Taco this year were my most worn 🤦
I'm like you in that I don't really wear red often at all. I'm also a freak, and don't love purple. It has to be a light purple (lilac/lavendar) for me to wear it.
A polish I have in my collection that I don't think gets enough love is Holo Taco's Lemon Spritzer 😭it's basically linear holographic butter yellow and I do not get how it was so poorly received (I mean, I do get it, it's yellow 💔).

And omg Lemon Spritzer!! 😩 maybe I’d feel differently about it if I wore it, but idk to me it never looked like a butter yellow! I generally don’t like a lot of yellows Cristine releases because they’re just too green leaning for me lol 🙈

    So...
    1) I don't like HT Existential Crisis; there, I said it.
    2) I like Lumen's Papillon, but I use VNL blurring base coats, so...
    3) No on Flakies with Black Flakies added....it looks dirty somehow...
    4) Well yeah, Cirque...but Sally Hansen Miracle Gel is 12.99 at my local CVS, and that is nuts!
    5) Gel and Acrylic Nails...never!
    6) Reflective Polish, I like it more now. I think that is because I use glitter smoother...
    7) Yellow, Orange and Red. I do have 2 yellows I will wear, and about 3 Oranges, (mostly Neon or slightly coral leaning ) but I only have 1 red, and I wear it like once a year?
    8) Linear Holo Top Coat. I like it but...

Luman and Ethereal are a mother-daughter brand? Is that true? Also what does that mean lmao. Also I'm really torn on how I feel about your controversial op here, on one had I get it, on the other, they do an unlimited pre-order for a new collections, usually a second run to sell the leftovers, then after that usually (never really) sell old collections just new ones. Believe me I GET how frustrating that is, but like...a lot of other indie brands do the same and dont get the flack. I mean BKL operates nearly the same way??? I dont get why Ethereal gets the brunt of the hate for things a lot of indie makers do.

      @PolishedYogi  5 месяцев назад

yes it’s true! i always get it mixed up but it’s like the owner of Lumen is the daughter (or mom lol) of the owner of Ethereal!
and that’s definitely fair too, but I think right now the convo seems to be around Lumen & Ethereal bc they’re just THE brand(s) everyone is talking about, like BKL isn’t nearly as popular as before their hiatus and i feel like since they came back a lot of people have already acknowledged BKL of being guilty of the same things (or at least specifically them releasing very similar shades). so in a way i feel like a lot of people already moved on from those feelings/that convo about BKL but are now having them about Lumen/ Ethereal.

That’s totally fair! Funny enough the few blurring base coats I’ve tried (Emily de molly & PFD) were TOO opaque for me lol. But it’s not even about the coverage for me either, it’s really the “color” which I know sounds silly! I do think if my nails weren’t stained, I’d probably feel the same as you like what’s the point of this polish hahah. But since they’re stained, it does the perf amount of color correcting for me!

Dark Horse is such a disappointment on me. So beautiful on others. Bee’s Knees Queen of Rot looks like garbage to me. You would have to pay me a lot to wear it. I don’t like her super sheer polishes. You shouldn’t need 3 coats of anything to make it look sheer. You’re just paying for the suspension base. I have a bunch of both brands that I love but nothing is an automatic drop in my cart.
I researched toulene and most risk comes from the high exposure a manicurist might encounter at a salon. Certainly people swatching and hoping for bio kids should probably avoid. But, seche vite also dulls some delicate shimmers. I tried Cuticula’s scented coat and I think it takes longer to dry than the unscented. So I save that for manis I have more time to cure.
I like most finishes. I find straight jellies the most difficult to work with. I have trouble judging the right thickness and drying time. Then I mess it up. Big flakes? No problem. Jellies turn into mud slides.
