Steven Tyler can sing anything. His voice is incredible! But this one of the best songs ever written. Lyrically and musically. This was performed on a 70's show called The Midnight Special. No matter what version you check out Steven still kills this vocally.
Tyler was in his teens when he completed the completed the lyrical composition for this song! It's not a very long song but the emotion is very apparent making this song even better.
One of the most distinctive voices in Rock. Tyler wrote this as a teen. I don't know how familiar you are with them but they're worth a lot more looks.
I call this the Flying Bobs song: it starts off in one direction like the Carnival ride very psychedelic and then takes you backwards/sideways on a fast and wild experience.
One of the best rock and roll songs.. they've been around for a very long time.. I grew up listening to them... I love their song in the movie Armageddon.. your reactions are really good you are so adorable..
I'm a hair band era woman.. I taught myself Aerosmith.. my all time fav Rock Band. My parents taught me Elvis and Frank Sinatra.. never old school 70's rock.. Very blessed to have seen them in concert in the 90's.. Lead guitarist. Joe Perry.. awesome
I was your age when this came out. The album is awesome. Old vinyl had photos and lyrics. Because there was no video, the only time you would see a band is in concert or a special appearance on television. That's why the Midnight Special was such a great show everybody stayed up late to see their favorite bands. Steven Tyler ended up down on Skid Row from heroin addiction. And the rest of the band rescued him and did an intervention that saved his life and they did a huge comeback in the 90s. They did a song for the movie Armageddon called I Don't Want to Miss a Thing. This is a rabbit hole you go down for a long time
i have nothing with aerosmith of the eighties and I dont know nothing about them about the seventies, but I did know this song and even when I was a 6 year old kid I realllly really liked this song much. And I think its one of the best rock ballads ever written...
Joe Perry is lead guitarist. "Say hello to heaven" ( by Chris Cornell ) of the group Temple of the dog is a good song to react to. Also "Lay it on the line " by Triumph.
Band members ate Tom Hsmiltin on bass, Joe Perry on Guitar and Joey Kramer in Drums. Tyler is the lead vocalist but can play several instruments. Aerosmith is definitely a band you want to explore. Sweet Emotion would be a next song for you guys.
This hit the mainstream radios in 1976, nowhere near the '60s. This was pure '70s. They also released Sweet Emotion, Walk This Way, & Same Old Song & Dance in the mid '70s. I associate them more with the '70s, not their watered-down '80s crap.
You should hear Steven perform at Howard Stern's birthday "bash" in 2014 - live, with David Grohl and Slash. Tyler was in hs 60's, and he still had it. Still does.
Good job guys, but like another person said, it's sliced and diced for a speedy listen ,evidently. You might actually dig just kicking back and hearing the album version. Unfortunate they do that sometimes.
Wow. This is 70s stuff guys. What I grew up with as a teenager. Like when I was 15 or something. Great stuff. Made me get into playing guitar. ❤ Great song pick guys. You guys pick some good ones. Anyone ever tell you that you look like all American boys. 😂. That's a compliment by the way. 😂❤..Be well guys. ❤
They did a beautiful song for the movie “Armageddon” called “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing”. Also, “Cryin’ ” is great. Some other great music: “Love Hurts” by Nazareth, “Holding Back The Years” by Simply Red, “Alone” by Heart, “Who Will Save Your Soul” by Jewel.
You should absolutely react to some Saraya, as they sound pretty similar to some of the bands you reacted to in the past. They were a female led band from New Jersey who were around at around the same time as the aforementioned artists but unfortunately were nowhere near as lucky to receive the same attention, as they only lasted around 5 years together and disbanded in the early 90s (casualty of the changing of the guard in rock, one of the most undeserving if you ask me, as Sandi Saraya (the titular singer), Tony Bruno (guitarist), Gregg Munier (keyboardist), Gary Taylor/Barry Dunaway (bassists) and especially Chuck Bonfante (terrific drummer especially for the music they play) were extremely talented musicians with a knack for S-tier songwriting and musicianship, as well as thoughtful and deep lyrics for glam metal/80s hard rock standards. This is to me especially showcased in their masterful 1991 sophomore and final album When the Blackbird Sings, arguably one of my all-time favorite albums. Here are a few requests of their catalogue: Love Has Taken Its Toll Gypsy Child Runnin' Out of Time Back to the Bullet Drop the Bomb Queen of Sheba Hitchin' a Ride Seducer When the Blackbird Sings In the Shade of the Sun New World (scarily relevant ballad, especially these days) Hope you react to at least a few of these tunes in the future!
I suggest the next song you check out is, "Dude Looks Like a Lady". I had their poster on my wall and wore grooves in the albums Rocks and Toys in the Attic. This was a terrible version and doesnt do the song much justice.
Please listen to more live Aerosmith!! You won't be disappointed!! Steven Tyler can sing like no other! He even does this song with Eminem! Freaking unbelievable!! Crazy, Cryin', Amazing, Angel, Sweet Emotion live by Aerosmith are some really good ones too! Thanks again! 💕✌🏻🎶
Not everybody knows the song. Especially, if you watch other reactions on RUclips. You guys say that about a lot of music from 70s/80's. Not everybody is familiar with Def Lepperd songs, etc... A lot of the younger listeners mostly listen to rap or music that's a lot newer.

Adding to 2 of the earlier comments, this edit not only cuts the full intro, but also the guitar solo, and some of the vocal build up.
Back in the saddle again is a banger. Its a deep rabbit hole

He wrote this song at I believe 14 yrs old and was singing it at 17! You can see his baby face…

Aerosmith is a LEGENDARY band guys. These guys been rocking for over 50 years
Aerosmith - Chip Away at the Stone - Mama Kin - Toys in the Attic - Sweet Emotion
I call this the Flying Bobs song: it starts off in one direction like the Carnival ride very psychedelic and then takes you backwards/sideways on a fast and wild experience.
This video was heavily cut, and is missing many of the lyrics. You need to hear the full song.
Truly a travesty. Who would upload such a thing?
One of the best rock and roll songs.. they've been around for a very long time.. I grew up listening to them... I love their song in the movie Armageddon.. your reactions are really good you are so adorable..
I was 7 when this song came out. Im now 57... loved this band basically my entire life. 🎶🎸
Nice Megan, another '66 baby! and Here I thought I was the only one. So, you and I both, been rockin' with Steven our whole lives
I'm a hair band era woman.. I taught myself Aerosmith.. my all time fav Rock Band. My parents taught me Elvis and Frank Sinatra.. never old school 70's rock.. Very blessed to have seen them in concert in the 90's.. Lead guitarist. Joe Perry.. awesome
I like 70s Aerosmith much more than 80s Aerosmith. I suggest Last Child or Back in the Saddle for your next Aerosmith song

This is my favorite Aerosmith song. Legendary rock band.
Steve Tyler was taught classical piano at his father's knee. Fun Fact.

They kind of died out in the early 80’s but resurged in late 80’s with Walk This Way with Run D and C
70s Aerosmith rules!

Bummer. It's a shortened version...
1973 is when this was released.

In the Shade of the Sun
New World (scarily relevant ballad, especially these days)
Hope you react to at least a few of these tunes in the future!
Try Kings and Queens by Aerosmith, another of there early songs but probably one of the best!!
I suggest the next song you check out is, "Dude Looks Like a Lady". I had their poster on my wall and wore grooves in the albums Rocks and Toys in the Attic. This was a terrible version and doesnt do the song much justice.

So many good songs! I think the boys would love Back in the Saddle Again and Sane Old Song & Dance. Rock n roll!!!
@@KristinaMarie719Yes! I think so too!! ✌🏻🎶
He was like 17 when he sang this song
Soooo beautiful 😍
😎👍
If Aerosmith were to do a tour playing only their stuff from the 70’s I would go.
Totally agree with you!
Classic
Joe Perry, I believe is the name of the guitarist.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
70's Aerosmith GOLD!, 80's oaky. After theat...yikes...not good, to pop. When Aerosmith had the Blues rock fusion they were amazing.
Yngwie Malmsteen & Dio did a really good cover of this one.
No females,as long hair was the style for guys and girls.😊
Fellas- Try Kings and Queens from Aerosmith, another early Gem top 5 Aerosmith song
Nice..
What are you two smirkin' 'bout? 😹
Can you guys react to the band Mr. Big and their songs like: Just Take My Heart, To Be With You, Green-Tinted Sixties Mind...Thank you!
Steven Tyler and Joe Perry ❤
Guitarist Joe Perry .
This is the heavily edited version of the song. This is not the real song

This video skipped over some parts of the song
At least play the full song
Nevermind my last comment I'm stoned
Are you guys brothers?
