The fact that Ryan said it will take at least a couple more albums to define the dual lead guitar sound makes me so happy. I hope TBDM stays for a long time. You guys have such a huge impact on the metal community.
And having Brian take the vocal reigns too. I am sure Trevor would be very proud of them all. I saw them a few months back here in NZ and they were so, so good.
@@BelgianJasper I got right up the front and was in front of Brandon and Max for pretty much the whole set. It was so incredible to see their playing so close. They absolutely crushed it and Brian did an amazing job with the vocals.
I met the guys here in Denver about a year ago on the verminous remnant tour. I gave Ryan a half assed 3d printed green skull they could most likely use for an ash tray lol but Ryan was one of the coolest dudes I've ever met. They all are. I only actually got to meet Ryan Brandon and Brian but damn some of the best hearted most grateful dudes I've ever met. more than anything they were super thankful and happy that their music made me so happy in life. Their albums and videos have sincerely saved me from, some seriously hard life issues. They've inspired me to play guitar years and years ago. Brian's rhythm section is some of the hardest stuff I've ever tried learning. My God. All of those guys are incredibly amazing masters at what they do. Each one of em. Cool dudes for real I honestly was such an outcast my whole life I feel like I would have fit in perfectly as their friend growing up. That would have kicked serious heinous royal ass for sure. Cuz I would have at least been able to rock out with em at least once in a jam session or something. I always thought that'd be the coolest possible moment on earth I could think of for me aside from buying my land. Rocking out with the black dahlia murder. Fuck yeah guys thanks again for your music and all your dedication to it. See y'all Tuesday when you hit Denver. God bless y'all Much L&R be safe
These guys have been an incredible influence on my guitar playing and love for heavy music for several years. The fact that they were able to continue after such a tragic loss that impacted all of us in metal community, speaks volumes about the passion for their art. Also, my son is about to turn 2 in a couple months as well and he loves rocking out to some Black Dahlia Murder. RIP Trevor!
I really felt that comment about giving people time to come around to it. I wasn’t a big fan of Miasma for a while but it eventually became one of my favorites. So far I’m totally loving the new album.
Don’t mean to be all up in the man’s personal life, but doesn’t he also have a daughter? Just remember that part about him with his daughter on tour in the Fool ‘Em All dvd. Definitely an awesome dad who just happens to be one of my all time favorite shredders 🤘
Yeah shes like over 10 now so the fact this dude keeps inferring that hes a new father rubbed me the wrong way too. Im just too big of a fan i guess haha. RIP Trevor.
Servitude is a true departure from the classic bdm sound but I welcome it. It definitely has its moments of reminiscence but every other track is just so dense and new. I appreciate mammoths hand because it’s so everblackish but most of the other tracks are hard to dissect cuz of the extreme musicianship and chemistry. That’s a great problem to have and I hope they continue refining it as they push forward
I feel they didn't depart from it but most of the album is different then others do agree but this is Brian's first time behind the Mic and who knows dude we may get the classic sound fully again tho Brandon and Ryan great in this band on guitar no doubt but nothing against Brain he's still a great guitar player
I don't think it's a departure at all. Yes, it may not contain the vocal techniques and patterns Trevor use to throw at us when a new album came out, but I think it being Brian's first time as the main vocalist on an album, was done quite well. He's still learning and will get better over time. This was the best decision for the band to move forward in my opinion.
Yeah I know your intention was to basically say the new stuff is welcomed but I think using the word departure has people thinking you’re less inclined to be sincere with your comment. I feel like I understood what you meant but I do disagree it’s not a departure the only departure is the actual loss of Trevor, I said it before Brian has done backing vocals since the beginning, Brian’s vocals are a lot like Trevor’s but more of a Barking howl and I really enjoy it, Trevor’s voice is with us for 9 albums 10 of you include the live album. The enhancement for me is all the added musician ship every time I listen to the record o hear new stuff I missed and every new bit is just as savory as the next one. For me this was up over par with their work and a great way to pay repeat to Trevor by making a stellar album. ❤
side note: nofx has had like 80 "last shows" the past year. I think its a running gag and a big money grab for them. not even hating. I think its genius.
The new album has been positively well-accepted by fans as well as critical acclaim. And it can be considered enormously fruitful for band reanimation after leaving the dead zone where they did use to be.Elsewhere, the album was shrewdly released pontual on the right time, even now when the band urgently need to do something to prove that they are still alive.
They've been alive this whole time, they've been touring relentlessly the last 2 years. We've all known since they came back to touring after his death new music was coming
@@masterduda013 The most impactant thing done for now,has been the new album. And band was in hibernation process,no tour had been previously made prior to releasing the new material.

I hope they take 5 albums to define their dual lead guitar sound in that case.
Brian is doing an amazing job. Trevor would be proud 🤘
Ryan is such a treasure. Having both him and Brandon on guitar is something I never could have imagined. A silver lining to this whole tragedy.
