I opened this video and sighed "Goddamn it..". He was such a great dude. I'll never forget when I saw them on the Deflorate tour in Syracuse NY and I met him for the first time. We were both wearing Amorphis "Tales From the Thousand Lakes" shirts and he just stopped in his tracks, looked and me and went "Best shirt in town! Whats up dude?!" and immediately talked metal as and the rest of the band was loading gear. He got into the van, had a TBDM shirt on his shoulder (every member of the band had one to give away that night, but Trev forgot about his), looked at me and shouted "Hey dude! Take this!" and threw me the shirt. I'll never part with that shirt he gave me. R.I.P. to one of the nicest dudes I've ever had the pleasure of meeting.
I saw these guys in Toronto right after Nightbringers came out. I got superrr drunk and after the show I approached the band near their tour bus (pretty obnoxiously and also completely soaked in sweat from moshing). I asked Trevor if he was going to hit me if I gave him a hug and I'll never forget him looking at me like I was crazy for asking him that and being like "no!?" and then giving me the biggest hug ever. In hindsight I was definitely a very annoying drunk person (covered in sweat) and Trevor was still the coolest dude ever and I'll never forget that. So sad to hear the news of his passing...RIP to a legend.
You sir are one lucky guy! I was able to see them also in Detroit! Brian walked past us. I wish I was able to meet him. That’s a wonderful memory of him to hear
Thanks man, I feel like I was super lucky that day for sure. Me and my buddy were drinking some beers behind the venue kind of near their tour bus before they took the stage (while the opening bands were playing) and Brian came walking down the street with some girl and was like "drinking some old milwaukees eh boys?!" and we spoke to him super briefly before he got on the bus. Fuckin epic day lol being huge fans we were stoked.
I spent so many hours on. trains, planes, bussess, car rides, and workouts enjoying TBDM, and sharing it with new people. so many years as one of my top 10 artists. Strnad is the man. Strnad is a legend. Rest in peace Trevor.
Absolutely. I am still curious why he took his own live. There are some moments like: One day I will fit into size Large like in the past or like he want to see that black metal band from NY etc... These are small things, but it makes me sad, that he won't do such small things anymore :(
I'm an enormous fan of Trevor simply for how friendly, funny and humble he was. The true example of how us metalheads are in real life. Rest well, you awesome guy 🖤🤘
I still can't believe he's gone man.... TBDM was my first death metal band and are still one of favorites to this. Trevor was one hell of a vocalist, a true metalhead and an amazing artist/writer. May he rest in peace.
THE band that got me into death metal as a 14 year old who had only heard of metallica and nu metal. He will be missed by all fans of death metal. Rest in Power Trevor!

I don't like the band's music, but just watched this video after hearing of his death and he seems like a really good guy, a very modest home full of his hobbies and the things he loved. Big loss to all those close to him I'm sure. RIP Trevor.
@apollodopevevo5117 perhaps not, but I felt it relevant to be clear I wasn't a fan, but still wanted to show appreciation towards him. I didn't mean it to be disrespectful.
I haven't cried in a long ass time like I did today watching this. Being the same age as Trev and going through similar mental problems my heart pours out to him and his family. My condolences to everyone who's heart he touched 🤘❤
Trevor is such a cool guy. Met him once after a gig last year and I couln't believe how laid back and down to earth he is in real life too. Kudos, man!
Such a chill, nice dude. I met him after a show when i was 17. He was walking out of tremont to take a picture with a group of people and i ran straight up to him, no one else even noticed him walk by, but he dapped me up even though i was rude looking back at it. RIP man
RIP to one of the coolest metal musicians ive ever met. One of my greatest memories is Trevor coming out to the bar after a show at Tremont in cut-off jogging pants and flipflops. Asked him if he wanted a drink and he chose tall boy PBR in a can. Talked for a bit and was the most down to earth guy you would ever meet. He looks at me kinda wild eyed and says "hey man wanna start a circle pit at the bar?" So with Slayer Ghost of War blasting over the bar speakers we started a mosh pit right there at the bar lol... one of the coolest moments ive had and i was star struck. Truly a great person and tragic loss to the metal community.
Just wanted to stop by to say RIP to a legend....the metal community won't be the same without you. I remember first hearing you guys back in 2003 when Unhallowed dropped...been a fan ever since. Rest in Power King.

I’ve always loved Trevor’s personality and sense of humor. I remember watching Majesty with an old friend back in high school and quoting that thing like it was Dumb and Dumber. Lol
I’m still in shock . This is truly devastating and gut wrenching. You will be missed TREVOR. I’m so glad I got to see you guys last September. Much love from a true fan.
RIP Trevor. One of my favorite metal vocalists of all time and a wealth of knowledge. I met him at my first ever concert during the Miasma tour and he complimented my shirt and spent a good amount of time talking about music and influences with my friend and I. Overall one of the best experiences I've ever had at a concert, he really was such a friendly and welcoming face in a sea of douchebags back at that time in the scene. He will be missed greatly and I know he positively impacted me and countless others during his short time here with us.
This just breaks my heart. Trevor, you were such a wholesome person. And so fucking loved. I don’t know anyone that doesn’t love Trev. I wish all of us fans could have taken his pain away.
I have my brothers to thank for showing me your music. Unhallowed blew the door open for most of my heavier music love. You will be missed and you are a legend in your own right.
i know hindsight is 20/20 and all but as someone who also has chronic anxiety and depression i see a lot of myself in trevor. the way it almost feels like he's putting a facade up is very familiar. very friendly and welcoming person with a lot of pain in his eyes. i hope for his sake that death is peaceful. i really miss this guy
Trevor Strnad seemed like a great guy. I never got into his band, but have always appreciated his love of metal and the way he used his band's success to promote others. From my prospective, having been through a LOT of rough times myself, I think I can actually see some cracks of depression here. This is clearly an April Fool's prank. Trevor lives in the castle on the cover of Nocturnal.
One of my favorite album covers ever lol
And his throne is similar to one of the cover on Deflorate 🤣
Ha... perfect
Deep down in the underground world on the throne of skulls (Verminous)
NOW he lives in the castle.
This is what depression looks like, acting like nothing is up and meanwhile extreme suffering in private. We love you so much Trevor.
This EXACTLY.🎯
Depression is a curse.
Did he killed himself? Just asking.
