I would put the smaller in the smaller tank so you can medicate it, will also stop it stressing leave the bigger one where it is, will give you time to work it out
Sorry about that giant red tail that fish was great to see in the 240 then got massive in the 800 and yoo man that’s crazy those buddy’s are beautiful and hella aggressive
Thanks Chase. But the giant red tail gourami wasn’t the one I grew out. I bought him that big. He was in the 225 gallon then the 800. I still have the one I’ve been growing out for over a year. And you’re right the buttikoferi are beautiful and aggressive!
Not surprised he pushed the egg crate out of the way I’ve seen 4” fish have enough power to do that. You need bracing running the length of the tank or big rocks to keep it from moving
I was surprised. It was wedged pretty good but you’re right this big fish was strong enough to push through. He even put it back after he went through. Big rocks would have certainly helped.
Typically 12in but this one is 14in so the online information isn’t accurate. And the dark one that got beat up was the one that beat the Dovii close to death.
That’s not true. Swim bladder issues means they cannot swim correctly. Upside down, on their sides etc. I’ve dealt with the issue many different times for different reasons over the span of 12 yrs. I know what I’m talking about.
@@EvilxYardxGnome I’ve kept fish for 31yrs. Been keeping aggressive large cichlids for 12yrs. That’s when I started encountering the violence and damage that these cichlids can inflict on one another. Swim bladder issues can come from disease. It can come from trauma. And I’ve seen many examples of both. This particular case is from trauma. Fish are smart, they attack the swim bladder, causing the fish to not be able to swim correctly, ultimately leading to death. This is exactly what they just did to the giant red tail gourami. If you don’t know this, please do some research so you can better diagnose your fish if something was to ever happen. Floating is only one symptom of swim bladder.
Build a wall with big bolder rocks in the middle. Loooks like u got a male and female the male almost knocked the female off. The males have a lot of blue on them. Hopefully she will recover they are pretty strong fish, I’ve seen worst. U could always put the hornet cichlid with Africans they usually don’t pick on em with nobody being a threat to each other. It has worked for me in the past but u know what u doing. 🙏🏾 for the hornet cichlid one of my favorites
Leopard cichlids, wolf cichlids, red devil cichlids, Texas cichlids, I think they are possibly all too aggressive to do anything but keep one fish in a tank ( no other fish of any kind). Or maybe have a variety of 30 cichlids in a really really gigantic tank but no 2 of the same species (of these 4 species) are in there. This seems to be the case in all the videos I see. Really sorry I didn’t say anything Cleveland- as you successfully kept them together so long - I really thought you’d succeed.
That’s the problem right there. People always say things like this when something happens. I’ve been keeping these species of fish together for 12yrs. It’s done all the time. There’s always a method to it. Even then, something can happen. It doesn’t mean you keep them confined to segregation. I’ll never do that or promote that.
@@TheFishCorner That’s fair enough. Not many people can do it, but you’re more experienced than most. Good to see the smaller buttikoferi pull through for now. Here’s hoping he makes a complete recovery.
Think the smaller one will be OK in the 75 because you have a divider in the 125 so essentially they are both in a 75 right now. Great channel. Thank You.
Damn bro is that sucks was gunna comment yesterday and say I think u have a male and female but wasn’t sure what makes me think that is the heads are different and also the one that got beat up I think is male for the fact he has dug a spawning bed and today seeing the video I see a bed made and the female side don’t but only way to know for sure would be next time you catch them take a picture of there vents and compare them me and my dad had zebras back in the day and I know they are very territorial hope he makes a turn around but if he don’t u already Kano how the game go maybe some slime coat and melafix will help maybe some stress coat hope all is good and goes good your way brother
This hobby is no longer joyful. I just closed down my big tank. Done with this crap.to expense and to much work to maintain Good luck with the fish room.not sure how you handle all that
Awww man hope he pulls through🤞 two BEAUTIFUL fish!
Thank you.
Hope he pulls through
Me too! 💯
They are beautiful
Yea they are.
I would put the smaller in the smaller tank so you can medicate it, will also stop it stressing leave the bigger one where it is, will give you time to work it out
Don’t have a tank big enough for the smaller one. Had to make the 125 work for now.

Thanks bro. He’s doing better as of today. 🫡

@@TheFishCorner yeah he was trying to cover up his tracks to the crime 😂. Sucks for the fish but we live and learn I’ve had plenty of mishaps too man.
I hope he pulls through. He looks super stressed. You can see it in his eyes. He may need time to recover though from the beating.
Thanks. You’re right. Mind you, he was the bully the whole time. He was the reason I put the divider in the tank.
How things change….
It’s Thursday 🤣 hahaha! I loveee you
😂😂😂 Lost track of time! 😘
Talkn ish thru that cage and he said oh yeah…pow, boom, slap,(old Batman emotes)
Facts. He wanted the smoke and she brought it to him.
My bad. I thought i had already subscribed.
All good! I appreciate you! 👊🏾
That sucks.
Definitely.
Damn that’s crazy. How big do they get and which 1 beat the dovi close to death?
Typically 12in but this one is 14in so the online information isn’t accurate. And the dark one that got beat up was the one that beat the Dovii close to death.
Damnnnnnnnn Cleveland. U tried ur best.
I really did.
great job sir good luck you will figure it out
Thank you! 👊🏾
I did yesterday when you pulled them both out
lol. Okay.
If it was the swim bladder, he'd be at the top of the tank floating upside.

Thank you. He’s doing much better as of today.
Hopefully he pulls though stay safe brother
Thanks! You as well!
I’ve had a few of them and they really can do some damage. I like the pattern and they don’t have the big hump like Frontosa.
Yea I agree. They can do some damage. I’ve been keeping them for 12yrs now.
Did you post the video from when you broke the tank?
No.

Thanks. They’re good now.
You kept a few of them baby fish you had? I wanna see how they look now.
Yea I did. I’ll show them off soon enough.

I figured they needed a divider
They had a divider.
Would you say the buttikoferi is more aggressive than your Dovi?
I’d say they’re about the same but the Dovii gets much larger so the damage to other fish can be a lot more extensive.
Think the smaller one will be OK in the 75 because you have a divider in the 125 so essentially they are both in a 75 right now. Great channel. Thank You.
No, it’s a 125g
I knew that would happen 😂😂😂that big boy ! Need a female ❤
🤷🏾♂️ Thought the divider would work.

Thanks bro. And the big one that beat up the other one is the digger. I also think the smaller darker one is male.
But I didn’t think they would break thru
The divider was wedged in the tank really tight. They must have really been talking shit to one another. 🤷🏾♂️
Those fish can’t thrive in a 125, that’s just a holding cell.
I agree.
Hey bro do you got 2 brothers named Claude and Daquan?
No.
how did you break the 125 trying to make a viral video?
Doing some stupid shit.

I can understand that. Sorry to hear it though.
@ the Vet with are male dog. Hurt foot
Damn Ant. Sorry to hear. Hope he’s good.
