Black with white spots seems to be the dominant breed. Its a clean look, but damn, there needs to be better variety. Is there a ray that's pure white with black spots, like reversed? That'll win the whole show. Lol

Dude, I think the splitting of the fins from the head is gonna make them evolve over time to look more like Sharks or Ratfish. The Aquarium hobby is literally creating new species of fish in the Ray/Skate family.
I’m not really interested in stingrays but I can certainly appreciate the beauty of the species and the work all the breeders put into them. What kind of money are the winners of show worth if retailed?

But if it's your thing go for it, id pay more for a paddlefish, muskys, Amy native normal fish, you can't improve on a piranha or red tail cat imo.
What about normals? To me a hybrid isn't the true fish, if you want a real competition do it with wild types. Yes they are pretty but one single fish could surpass anything just by luck. I don't care for hybrid anything , you can't best real nature.

No, the Asian market has always been years ahead. That is because they have a lot of breeders and pay crazy amounts of money for the best fish.
